    This is the second podcast that Joe was going to discuss was about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Max interrupted the conversation, but TRT is a topic that many people would be interested in hearing about, particularly Joe's personal experiences, both positive and negative.

    As someone who paid off their school loan (borrowed 35k paid over 70k by the time I was able to pay it off).. the topic is far more complex than just wasting “tax payer” money at it.
    The feds created a problem but now are not being held responsible for their mishandling of the problem they created, but let’s blame 18 year olds attempting to do something for their future. The feds went out and told all colleges they have guaranteed loans.. schools then jacked the prices up (and continue to do so) since they have an unlimited credit card in the government that the colleges or the government never has to pay back..
    Maybe the government should have identified how the loans were being abused by colleges, put regulations in place to not allow it.. instead they let it go so out of control, local colleges charging 35k+ a year…
    You’re all business owners.. wouldn’t you rather people have more discretionary funds than not? People can’t afford homes anymore (hard when you have 100k in loans before you’re 22 years old). There is a domino effect.. people aren’t starting families, not moving out of parents homes, etc etc.. very different telling someone to work a second job for 2-3 years to pay off 10k in school loans vs trying to pay 100k off that continues to add ridiculous interest..
    Way deeper topic than just bailing out young kids

      To add more, another reason the government backs student loans is because they used that money to subsidize Obamacare. Google “loans subsidize Obamacare”.
      Biden forgiving loans sounds like a way to buy votes (and it probably will), but it’s going to cause the price of Obamacare insurance to skyrocket!

    I am tired of influencers in my face shilling stuff that I ultimate don’t need. I’m trying to be more careful with my spending because there is so much over consumption happening, and I realistically don’t need all the stuff I think I do. I guess what I am saying is, I think there was a time where I really did value and trust the reviews of influencers, but now it is pretty clear that it’s for a paycheck. So I just decided to make a change. I think this is probably a growing trend too. I am cutting back on buying from Amazon and giving my money to smaller local shops instead, because they are starting to disappear.

      I’ll add really quick, that is something I appreciate about Caleb’s financial audit. He really preaches living below/within your means because there is always going to be someone wealthier, so stop trying to keep up with the joneses. Once you do that internal work I think this is the key to financial freedom.

    Honestly, the politic podcast was possibly top 3 podcast. I don’t mind this pod but simple podcasts with no agenda and talks about current events is more relatable us. We’re all affected by current events and politics in some way. My career doesn’t involve the owning a company and the complications of growing and delegating work.

      in free market capitalism we should reward taking more risk aka starting and running a profitable company. although it seems unfair “the rich ppl” get huge loans and subsequent forgiveness, in reality, incentivizing individual business owners is actually better for the economy overall

    You guys have a point. Where some people don’t care to save & prioritize.
    However, I feel like generally speaking the general public is not necessarily educated financially plus growing up environment, where no one knows how to use money properly . You get yourself into debt and all these things even realizing.. and I feel like it’s only changes when you have the self-awareness or someone to hopefully kind of guide you in the right direction.
    But then, yes, you do have people who generally don’t care and will keep living like that . and to go back to the economy, these days for us who were making money with and maybe not going out as much it still be tough but I guess it’s just perspective.

    So, regarding the NBA and WNBA salaries, the WNBA actually loses money every year. The NBA is the only reason the WNBA still exists. Women's NCAA basketball became a phenomenon this year due to multiple factors. Caitlin Clark has an unprecedented shooting ability for a woman, similar to when Steph Curry came onto the scene. So, her ability, in combination with many other exceptional women's basketball players, exponentially increased the viewership of women's basketball. Until the WNBA turns a much larger profit, Caitlin's salary is fair. In terms of endorsements, she makes much more than you'd think.

    • @Oceanproud
      @Oceanproud 8 місяців тому

      WNBA hasn’t made a profit since their inception not to be confused with revenue when googling. NBA subsidizes the league.
      There’s only one male gymnast who made it on the list for the 10 richest gymnast. It all depends on profit.
