JK was 13 when Hybe BTS took him in and started his training...he debuted at 15 as their lead vocalist and dancer right off the bat. He's always been incredibly talented...with perfect pitch, dance skills and just an amazing performer...not to mention very humble and grateful to 'his ARMY'.
In more detail, the lead vocalist is the main vocal position in K-pop. Jungkook's BTS position is the main vocal, lead dancer, sub rapper.

Jungkook joined Bighit owned by Bang Si Hyuk in 2011 aged 13, and BTS debuted in june 2013. It was only after Bighit became so rich from BTS's success that Hybe was set up. Originally Bighit was a very small company and almost went bankrupt in BTS's early days.

I do want to clarify something. BTS came from a very small company, that almost went bankrupt at one point so they really didn’t have very much resources (that includes training). A lot of what they learned, they learned throughout their career, so you can literally see and hear their growth from their debut.
Jk even has more control over his voice when he sings in korean because actually he doesn't speak English also he write and co produce his korean songs and his voice in bts live performances is just amazing i recommend the rest of golden album

Yes you are right.They have been trained so well since they were trainees. As idols in kpop are always in the center of the stage ,dancing while singing live has always been a bit pressuring so they take time and nurture themselves. However BTS used to work for almost 10-12 hours a day just to give their best performance from the very beginning of their music career including jungkook. They all were teens back then.

BTS isn't over, before you think so. They will return in 2025, an estimated time by which all members will have completed their mandatory Korean military enlistments. When Jungkook finishes this promotion for his album Golden, he will be ready to serve. BTS has now been a group for over 10 years. They are not just friends, they are like brothers, they are family. Hi Saré! Thank you for reacting to JK’s STANDING NEXT TO YOU. This is my first time watching you because of our Jungkookie! I’m a 62-year old pandemic ARMY (October 1, 2020). I became one (hook, line and sinker) because of him. My daughter recommended BTS to me and listened to BOY WITH LOVE. While listening to it, I heard the harmonies and adlibs (personally, as somebody who sings, these elements are very important to me), so I asked myself, “Who’s that? He’s the only one doing it for everybody!” I watched more intently and realized that, “Yes, it’s only that guy!” That enticed me to BTS because of that ONE GUY, Jungkook. While the rest had time to relax a bit in singing and rapping, this great man (for me), harmonizes and does adlibs for each and everyone of them. I’m not saying that he’s the only one capable among the group, because my Jimin does too (and at times Jin and V). But he’s the one doing all the layerings in the majority of their songs (and he does most of their guide tapes). And he’s perfect pitch too!
So yes, Jungkook is tops! Most producers find it easy to work with him. He knows what to do and they said he comes in PREPARED. I strongly recommend for you to watch IdaS. Her videos are mostly about Jungkook.

He is recognized as the main singer for BTS but this is his first solo venture. The western awards shows and radio tries to press them down but they have not been able to hold them down. There are many UA-cam videos about how unfairly they are treated. In BTS only 1 member is fluent in English. He and they have broken so many world records. So glad you with us Army.

I'm so happy when I listened to your commentary about Jungkook's technicality! Jungkook worked very hard since he was 15 to become the main singer of BTS. He even said he didn't take many vocal lessons because he didn't want to lose his singing style. BTS has a seriously Rare collection of voices. The 4 Vocalists all stand on their own and for very different reasons. As well as the 3 rappers who sometimes dabble in singing. It's a very Talented group.

They r not getting the proper recognition. I think the American award shows r trying to please the celebrities that’s why there’re Korean categories. JK’s album was in English n written by Americans, Canadian n British n yet he was in kpop category. Their first time performing was greeted by screams. The celebrities were in shock wondering who they were n why the fans were hysterical. A pop group was interviewed n 1 young man said there’s no place for foreigners in American award shows. The other member said he disagreed n liked the Bts. Bts encountered a lot of discrimination n still do. If they were white, awards would b raining on their feet.

Yes Jungkook at an early years as a bandmates with BTS and the love shown by his Hyungs in his formative years build up his confidence and has shown great talents.Considering that he's full blooded Korean but he can fully sing in English.And one time he spoke that he has to worked hard on his vocals so that his ARMY fans would like and appreciate it more.They're there at the stage so that they could sing to the ARMY's.True enough his hard work paid off.He has an amazing vocals and could vibe to any genre given to him.Plus his God given talents ,humbleness and respect and love for his Hyungs(older brothers) put him(and his bandmates) to where he's/they're now.
Jungkook, alongside with BTS, are recognized by their fans, ARMY - BTS sell out stadiums for concerts all over the world and they sell millions of albums. That is their recognition, and it's from millions of people, now including you. Unfortunately, they are not necessarily recognized the same way in the western world because BTS refuse to play by the music industry's rules. They don't do Payola, they don't do underhanded deals, they don't bow down to radio executives, etc. The industry doesn't like that, so they keep them out in ways that they can control - for example, the Billboard Charts have constantly changed their rules every time BTS makes a record in order to make it harder for them to chart (they even delete sales numbers without explanation); award shows started making K-Pop categories so they could relegate BTS into those categories instead of the main categories. Also, people are just racist. People have a negative image of "boybands" and don't take BTS seriously as artists simply because they're a group who dances. Just like you said, I think Jungkook is 100% up there with the greatest male pop artists of all time - I actaully think he's better. Rather than even comparing him to Justin Timberlake or Bieber, he's up there beside Michael Jackson in my eyes. The same could be said about all of BTS. No one is performing like them anymore. No one puts out music like them anymore. It's sad that some people just wave a hand at them because of preconceived notions about them being Korean or a group.
No, KPop singers train young but not that young. In his group, BTS Jungkook came in as the youngest at 15. But it was obvious from early on he had the most stable voice while dancing but he also is gifted with perfect pitch. All members of BTS are incredibly talented and until recently they did not take the time to do solo albums. But he has been working professionally for 10 years…at 26!
He was 15 in Korean age when he signed with BH, which means you have to subtract 1 to 2 years. If that was 2011, I believe he was 13 or 14 when he stared his training. He was 15, almost 16, when they debuted in 2013.
Not only does JK deserve a Grammy, but BTS also deserves one (by the way, they have been nominated five times).

Loved your reaction - feel like you're teaching me abt music at the same time. Please keep it up. JK is honestly amazing and he is the best live. He started at 13 and debut with BTS at 15yrs old, he's the youngest member and from debut was the Main vocalist, sub rapper, lead dancer and Centre of BTS. I'm personally very glad he's in his solo era because I do believe he's got the strongest vocals but it hasn't always shone through being in a group of 3 other vocalist and he's definitely had to restrain in order to accommodate BTS and fit with the song. Its very evident in their MV's vs when they perform live and he then can do alll these runs and ad libs freely. Also if you check out BTS vids you'll find that he has the most vids singing live- including his weave lives with fans where he just sings , also has amazing covers of all the artists he love -this man was born to be on stage, he has such stage presence its insane. BTS as a group is blessed with immense talent - each member adds to the group and very talented. Jungkooks Solo is very different from the others in the sense that every song is different genre and its a full English album - He wants to be a POP STAR and he's done it

BTS members used to do hardcore training, like sing and dance with a mask on (for breathing pressure training) and sing while running on a treadmill for stamina & breath control. Jungkook is known to have the most stable singing voice while doing hard dancing

You should watch the New York Time Square live performance of Standing Next To You and his other songs, it was incredible. He literally sang Standing Next To You while dancing, especially the 2nd verse and 2nd chorus.
He's known for being the main vocalist of BTS, and he has an incredibly stable vocals while dancing at the same time.
Fun fact: He trained his vocal skills while running in a treadmill. So he literally sings while running 😂.
Additional info: The other members of BTS also have an incredible songs and they have great vocals as well.

@ 9.24 I'm sure you won't be shocked but he's not more well known or mainstream accepted simply cause he's not born in the US nor any English speaking country and.. he's not white, he's a POC. We as ARMY as labeled as 'rabid teen girls' who can't hear nor think for themselves cause of raging hormones.. We do have teen girls but the main characteristic of ARMY is how the huge age range, all nationalities, all social statuses, we're GP, whether they want to accept it or not, we're real people! most of us ain't even kpop fans, we're just GP

I just saw this video now. and I agree with you in every way.. I don't know why it isn't recognized more ..think one of the biggest reasons is that this is his first solo work but I know he deserves more, I've noticed there is a tendency to underrated his talent, I don't know why... but in any case now he's in the military service and many artists get recognized on big international stages such as awards programs in America or eu but he now being in the military cannot do it, in one of the most important moments of his career he had to enlist. but I'm sure that when he returns he will be able to give us very beautiful performances and really new good music.
