Dude, I'm so happy for you. Finally, that investment in water Tifa paid off! I really think she's the best DPS for this fight. It'll be a while before I can get mine built up, but I plan to slowly over time. I'll be revisiting your guide once I'm ready :D
I sincerely hate patterns in this fight. There are just too many scenarios depending on which boss bar you lower to zero and it takes a lot of time to figure it out and choose the best strategy. I myself just cleared that fight 2 days ago, and never even had the diamond sigil phase, so I am sure this video will help a lot of people! Keep up the good work!
@@Takeshe36 yeah, sometimes I would get the 3 symbol sigil break on Ramuh for the second phase. And I've seen even more different ones. It made it verrrry hard to adjust to whenever I would try s different team or strategy. But thank you!! I'm glad you cleared it!

@@rufusshinra8230 yessss! I know! I said 40 attempts in the video. In reality, it was probably closer to 60-70 and I've seen totally different patterns. I experimented with 3 different team comps too. But yes, this is why I was very particular in this run as to how I did dmg so it wouldn't throw me off!
@@BobBob-pr4eh Yeah, I'd say I did straight attempts for like 5 hrs one day and then another 1.5 the next before my first clear. And then I came back to record this about 3-4 days later and took me like 7-8 attempts to get the clear on this recording.
Interesting how different you're run looked than mine. I don't think I saw an 18 diamond sigil break in my attempts. I did it with OB0 Kamura and OB6 Maritime Sword/OB10 Skysplitter. I sneaked in a Breath of the Earth in between Thunder Lance and Heavenly Strike. That only works with Barret as the tank. My main struggle was my DPS dying later on. 236 MDEF and 12.1k HP was the magic number to survive. Anyways, good job! Its nice to have that fight out of the way!
@@ReviewFriends yes, perhaps the single most interesting thing about this fight is the variety of patterns all based on different dmg scenarios and who/when you break the gauges. Frustrating for sure, but also very cool.
@@BobBob-pr4eh My Barret has Firey Cape(costume), OB0 Sharkslayer, OB1 Electrocannon, OB4 Stream Slasher, OB6 Bahamut Cutter, OB10 Bahamut knuckles. Stats are 12.9k HP, 40 MDEF from branding, 24 MDEF from materia, 14.9% MDEF from Highwind, and 30% MDEF from guild weapons adding up to 273 MDEF.
if it helps the highest you can get on % stats is 18% and additionally, dont worry even if you flat stats on MDEF/PDEF we've seen builds reaching 300-400 MDEF/PDEF if needed on units, so its certainly possible, definitely not needed to switch on materia as well

Yeah, I have 2 of them now. One is that HP one and then I have a PATK at like 10.3%.. but I now have like 5 useless 5* mats lol
