Dear Mr Huber... I am neither a musician nor a music critic... just an old lady who happens to appreciate classical piano, and who favors this piece so much she returns to it regularly. If there are "flaws" I don't know about them and don't care. As for your expression, I feel it is totally appropriate and the smile at the conclusion is very well earned. Please post more videos! (Can I put in a plea for some Chopin?)
You are so kind Dear Lady Sheryl. I only wanted to you thank you for your humble comment. It's nice to know that there are still good people in the world. And I’m so sorry about my broken English. 🌸 Goodbye.🌸
Yeah...that "smile" was 'kick-ass'-as I found myself smiling, too!

Bien sûr... pas du tous de la merde pour likes.
What a stunning, honest and unaffected performance. Found it by accident, what fortune? Totally generous and devoid of ego on the part of the pianist who only shows any sign of self indulgence with his understated smile at the end. Beautiful, thank you.
My favorite symphonic work of Beethoven. The melody is transcendent and timeless.
Love seeing and hearing my fav Beethoven…..thought the piano duet in the movie Bonfire of the Destiny playing this piece was great!,
the gradual progression up to the climax just feels extremely epic.
Where you from?
Great job. I like the editing and the score being visible is a great touch.
Absolutely loved the editing
Your performance of Beethoven's 7th Symphony, 2nd movement, was absolutely breathtaking. You captured the deep emotion and gravity of the piece with such sensitivity and played it at the perfect tempo, allowing every phrase to breathe and resonate fully. Too often, this movement is rushed, but your thoughtful pacing brought out its true soul. Truly a masterful interpretation!
I think that the very consistent tempo may have been felt as 'unemotional' by some people, but to me made it feel more powerful and forceful, without sounding overly deliberate.
It depends on what piece you are playing. If it has a "march" feel, like this piece then consistent tempo would be good. But if it very slow and emotional piece, like Barber - Adagio for strings, then it will sound shallow and robotic, like a midi player.
it isn't even that slow. Gould's version is actually slower.... :)
@@Bigblackpiano Gould never played this piece, sadly.
@@AwibaeGibbon You can hear it here: ua-cam.com/video/AnS1i9bVGHU/v-deo.html

Oh, this performance is divine. Right to the end with your smile and relaxation afterwards. What a salute to this work of Beethoven. Many thanks!
It is one of best I've heard. The amount of work is obvious. Thank you
Wow, this is now one of my favourites interpretations of this movement.
I thought it was beautiful and honest playing. I really enjoyed it and noticed your smile at getting through it. Very well played.
This song to most may be fit for the end of the world, where the villains won and all hope is lost. But I think it represents beauty. This beautiful piece represents beauty... and knowledge... seeing the world evolve in front of our eyes and flowers blooming in the sun...
Amen ... Ludwig Van Apocalypse
@@PaulGruendlerBeau to me it conveys the feeling of doing something morally questionable for the benefit of everyone, and in front of those close to you. they know that what you did was right and inevitable, but your relationship with them may never recover.
I was really touched. It was a great performance.
Smile at the end says it all. Amazing job, thank you for this!
Thank you! I am speechless. What an emotional journey!
Thanks for the uploader. Beethovens inmense talent... wow! He is speaking about his life, about his feelings, about his thoughts, his beliefs, his victories, his failures. We all have thoughts, beliefs but most men are not gifted with musical prowes like beethoven.
What a touching performance. This is my favorite Beethoven piece - I’ve only heard it in an orchestra - never heard it strictly on piano before. You beautifully brought it life. Thank you that. Look forward to hearing your next work. Keep going! You got this 🤜💥 +1 sub
Dude... that Liszt with his brilliant transcription. Can you imagine Liszt listening to the orchestral piece and thinking... "I'm gonna transcribe that for piano and it's gonna be just as powerful as an acoustic single-instrument piece" ? That's why this video is so special. It highlights two powerhouses: Beethoven and Liszt. I think that Balu der Bär knows this as he plays... with his little smile at the end of the performance.
I love that put the score at the bottom of the video and that we can see your hands playing the keys. Thanks for making the video and well done for learning that piece
Absolutely fantastic piece of music, and I love how you play it on the piano! Sounds absolutely incredible.
Sehr schöne rendition! Danke für's hochladen.
What variations in this astounding movement. The pianist even looks like Beethoven!
What a beautiful performance. I really, really liked the beginning!
I love how you use the sustain pedal on the 1st section. Most pianists don't, and it always sounds a little abrupt to me. Nice!
totally agree
Yes, intentionally ignoring what's written in the score. Very innovative...
@@tonihanemaayer9387 its a piano transcription of a piece composed for violin, so he is being innovative
The smile at the end is for great musician Ludwig van Beethoven... I can feel it :)
Thank you I have been looking for a beautifull played on piano version of this. I am in love with this piece of music. One day I will get there if it takes me years.
To me this Allegretto movement has always felt like it’s telling the story of overcoming hardships through determination, willpower, and sacrifice. Movement III Presto, which follows in the 7th Symphony is the payoff: the joy of the fruits of your labor, knowing that you have accomplished what you set out for. Personally it’s one of my favorite pieces of music and a signature example of Beethoven’s ability to express nuanced emotions.
You played this beautifully!! Thank you for sharing!
beautiful. played with such expression
Wunderschoen gespielt. Vielen Dank.
Amazing 😍. That was flawless. Great job.
Great playing, great sounding piano, great everything!
Very beautiful
this is an awesome video, excellent editing and remarkable playing, thank you!
I’m learning this for me first sheet music piece, this is a great reference. I don’t know if I intend to do all the pages but I will try until I want to play something else.
Beautiful, soulful playing. Thank you.
So beautiful
Great editing and perfect sound! This is a recipe for an entertaining and wonderful video. Thank you for making this!
Beautiful execution
You playing is just perfect, and the steady tempo isn't really a problem. But when it comes to the part somewhere around 3:26, it's written "Marcatissimo", which means it should not be as soft as you play it. Nice job at playing it though!
Excellent rendition ~ Thank You for your effort and for uploading!
...to be this consistent in tempo throughout this piece is a feat in itself....
A magnificent piece played magnificently by a magnificent pianist. It's definitely harder than my level, but I will still try it...
(portuguese)

Brilliant
How many had he killed? Had he ever thought to count? How much cruelty did he embody... and to what end? How many did he condemn to hell and who did it benefit..?
Two defeats at the hands of the machine had changed Gabriel. The world of the one supposed Will of God was now shattered and only he was left to put the pieces back together. They collected before the light of a dying fire that fresh fuel couldn't sustain, this new light showing the truth to Gabriel:
The pieces never fit together to begin with.
The supposed Council of "the people" who boasted a God that wasn't there. Gone. Vanished. The Council still chased after the light of God's fire, their memory of its words and will grown twisted and warped, and the rest of the aimless masses of Heaven follow their footsteps. The angels still act in The Father's name but His kingdom has changed.
Now the fire was dying, sputtering out as the heat failed to gain purchase. Gabriel looked upon the embers with a perfect clarity. He drew his blade and held it in contrast to the dying light.
In its reflection he saw a weapon reborn, no longer wielded by the will of another, but his own. He knew words alone would never sway the masses. He chose to do something drastic.
Death stains the auditorium. The littered corpses of the once mighty council now strewn against its surfaces, their last gasps of life dripping down the dissident blade of Gabriel's sword.
The last councilor, now backed up to a wall, scrambles for words between panicked breaths as death approaches with measured steps.
"W-wait! Y-you can't do this! Our status forbids it! This is treason, heresy, murder! We are the supreme authority, our law commands you!
"You command nothing. Your words hold no power over me, or anyone else. Lest you truly believe you can talk my blade back into its sheath."
"B-but the people are on our side! The citizens of Heaven know that we are just!"
"The masses only follow you out of fear and desperation. I will show them there is nothing to be afraid of, for there is not species nor origin, vested rank or holy status that will stop the sharp edge of a sword.
We all bleed the same blood, and the cushions of your thrones have made you weak and impotent."
"P-please, Gabriel, see reason! The council follows the will of The Father! You seek to go against our creato-"
"Face it, brother. God is Dead. The fire is gone. You're chasing phantoms."
Gabriel's silhouette now towers over the councilor, his shadow cast upon a soon lifeless corpse.
He raises his sword for the final cut as the crying mess on the floor stammers out its final feeble argument.
"B-b-but the Father's light! Without me you cannot hope to reconnect with it! I-i-if you kill me, you'll be dead in a matter of hours!"
...
"I know."
A clean, silent cut glides through the councilor's neck, severing his spine with elegance and ease. His head falls onto the marble floor, the rest of his body following soon after.
Bereft of status but brimming with purpose, Gabriel gave a final message to the angels amassed at the gates of the auditorium before leaving Heaven for the very last time.
His arm outstretched, without a word, the people saw. In the silence the message rang out to the far ends of the cosmos.
amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for that...

Great performance. It's been a while since I've been able to sit through and entire youtube vid performance. you captured my attention. Curious is it just me or does that Yamaha sound just like a Steinway? Very close in timbre.
Well done!! this one gives me shivers. Don't pay attention to comments like Michaels. Don't need comments like that.
Why does ik take almost a minute before the music starts? What is the use of the silent intro?
