Your response is misleading, to begin with. Of course no one is perfect. That has been a fact since man has been civilized. There are mistakes that are obvious and mistakes that are made due to a lack of training. Who is talking about judging anyone? Unless you were in the cab while the driver was making this turn, you need to step back and move on since there is nothing you can do to help.
These rigs cost upwards of $200,000.00 including the trailer. This is a rookie mistake. Well, not really a mistake, it was a bad decision. He failed to determine a safe turning radius. That rig is about 70 feet long . Really stupid move.
He had a bad day. He has to pay for his mistakes not us. Unless you have been In one of these then give the guy a break. I have been since 1991 and its no fun. No I haven't done anything like this but I have had my Fuck ups. Have a nice day!

Completely disagree with your response. I have driven for a number of companies. With that being said, I have been with Prime for 12 years and have over 1 million safe miles. While there are drivers with all the major companies that should not have their CDL, the companies with the better training seem to have less accidents.

Where was this taken? This place reminds of a shipper I been too somewhere in Pa where there was a ditch from the main docking area and enough to maneuver where there was no margin of error.
Brand new trailer, and considering the situation he was in, the damage was actually minimal. Not saying it was great driving, but he got off lucky with that.

However, a public video of space that can be viewed from a public area has no grounds for a lawsuit.
David I forgot my trailer for multiple reasons. All night in a yard riding without one, then hooking up sideways in the snow, seeing the trailer you disconnected and thinking you dropped the one you had and cutting through some parked trucks. This all after arriving at night around midnight.
Seeing this reminds me of taking my time driving my rig carefully thru tight spaces. there are some shippers and consignees that are not designed to handle truck traffic. But hey, we are professional drivers. just taking your time backing into tight spots and no problem.
yup there’s a warehouse that i know that has one loading dock and make things worst it’s right next to a 7 lane street with a middle turning lane in the middle. you can only approach from south to north and back up in a angle going south west. drivers usually park right in the middle turn lane and wait for all 6 driving lanes to clear so they can get angled blocking almost all lanes just to back in the dock. this dock is also right next to a busy intersection. sometimes they be seating there waiting for an hr or more unless they get lucky and the cars stop to let them do their thing.
+SkilledEddie You can't bend a kingpin. Primarily because they're too short, and also the way they're mounted in the skid plate. They're not just a pin welded into the bottom of a trailer. They're machined from a larger plate that is dropped through a hole, then the whole thing is welded into the skid plate, top and bottom. I was rear ended in Waukesha, WI in '99 by another truck doing 55+. The kingpin held, and it ripped my 5th wheel right out of the frame. I talked to my dispatcher the next day from the hospital, and I was told my Freightliner and their trailer were both totaled, and the tandems had to be cut out from under the trailer to clear the crash site.

I hate when people sit there n walk around the truck to record the truck number n shit. Do you think prime wasn't gonna find out?
And everyone thought swift was the only trucking company doing demolition work
One hell of a severe mistake, but all went well at the end.
Right side mirrors must be optional equipment on Prime trucks.
