Hey everyone! Appreciate this is a bit of a different video for any regular viewers BUT felt that given the chaos of the internet these days, I would chime in for anyone looking to get started! FREE Hybrid Training Plan to get your started here: www.omnia-performance.com/freeplan P.s - I'm no longer 26... As the thumbnail indicates... A decade just felty neat and tidy... That is all...
Brother, you probably won’t see this but just wanted to show my gratitude for your content. I’ve been on and off with hybrid training for years, but I’ve been slacking on the cardio aspect of it for a while and my mental health declined because of it. Your channel has helped me shift my perspective and I enjoy the balanced lifestyle this type of training brings. We move🏃🏻♂️
Great video, just sat and wtsched it with my teenage daughter qho has taken a keen intrest in my training lately and started her own hybrid journey, have downloaded the free plan for her to peruse. Thank you 🙏🏻
Been working out for 21 years, I started out with cardio and strength training through weightlifting and calisthenics and have maintained it since. To Fergus´s advice I would add learning to warmup and stretching properly, if you are into running look at proper running form (these two points are to prevent injury which, depending on their intensity, you can carry for the rest of your life). Don´t neglect lower body strength, it works wonders for daily life and gives you an important advantage for cardio (and also is important for injury prevention). Finally, if your resources for working out are scarce, don´t discard what some dumbbells and increased repetitions can achieve.
Great video Fergus, I have shared with my son. You have helped me to double down on the same principles, hopefully he doesn't get sucked into the shiny Insta-world. Respect for putting this out.
Fergus I am watching you couple of years , I did a half marathon in 1:30 full marathon in 3:31 and now I am training triathletes and this is what I am loving now The problem is the money for a 21 student in university for triathlon competitions there is a half Ironman in my city (Athens) that I wanna go but the entry fees are like skyrocket and I don’t know what to do I prefer triathlon over running now
All movements are a skill, which is why I don't like it when people say "anybody can run" because, I'm sure you see it Fergus, while you're out there yourself that a lot of people are hopping up while falling forward and that's not running; running is done in the hips not the feet. It's just like watching people walk with bad hips and they walk in two different directions at the same time. They can still develop the skills but they need to fix the issues first Everyone can learn for sure but not everybody can just get up off the couch and go running without hurting themselves
great content as always Fergus. Question for you, I see you've been hosting lots of running events in London recently. Will you be hosting any in Edinburgh at all?

Most sensible "fitness" information I heard in a long time, well done 👏
Of all of these you described to control, sleep is the hardest.
