She also has a beautiful heart.

I can relate to Lana so much, especially with this song. I lived the exact same life in my teens and early 20s. A lot of women and femme-presenting people can say the same. It hits you hard - and even if you can’t relate with your own personal experiences - Lana still makes you feel the effects of those experiences with the way she writes her songs and delivers the emotions.

How different things look to different people. So many write about the freedom of this song.
But I find it incredibly sad. All I'm reminded of is one of my old friends spending her youth desperately throwing herself into one man/situation after another, sometimes getting into serious trouble, and lying to herself about her choices. All because of her childhood trauma.
According to her, true happiness and freedom didn't come until she took the responsibility for her own life upon herself.
