The issue is that either the renter or the owner must in some way pay insurance and property taxes if they want a "permanent roof" with utilities like electricity, gas and water. Because of this, many people at least in California, where I currently reside are living in tents. No taxes, rent, mortgages, or insurance. The number of people who tell me they live in their car that I meet amazes me. Its crazy out here! The prices of homes are really quite ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%). Sometimes i wonder if to just invest my spare cash into the stock market and wait for a housing crash or just go ahead to buy a home anyways.
Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.

Zillow's estimate of house value is beyond ridiculous in how incorrect it is. In California coastal regions, land is typically more valuable than than the structure (the house) on that land. But, you will see that the value of the house estimated by Zillow ignores the lot size. Furthermore, when listing comps, Zillow will list a lof of houses with much larger lots in the comps and then use that to inflate the estimate of value of a given house. It seems Zillow wants to tell the owner what they want to read, that their house is much more valuable than it is. Assuming Zillow still has some tech workers all they have to do is compute a proper regression to estimate house prices, where lot size is included in that regression. The fact that they don't do this makes me wonder why they can't do something so simple.

I got cut $300 a month because of Medicare, Erma. I sold my home. I agree SS is failed. It has to be faxed. Not fare to those contributing. Not fare to those who did contribute. Not fare to strip $300 from SS when no other income available to make up the difference. What is the point of saving if SS is going to punish you for being responsible.
Monthly benefits went up average 10-15$ a month and Medicare premiums went up at the same time so I don’t know who received this increase you are talking about??
I don’t know about everyone but I worked 40 years paying into SS, I worked my last 9 years in a county job paying into a pension. So when I retired SS deducted 25% of my SS payments. How is that fair? I make a total of 1523.00 a month with both checks. I’m single, disabled, that’s poverty!😢😡😡

Zillow has contracts with NAR for their data This data is used to generate automated values which are all horse hockey. I was in residential valuation for 20 years. I wish I had a dollar for every person who quoted a value listed on Zillow.
I have been a real estate broker for 28 years and I am disappointed with the NAR and it’s affiliates. It was a wonderful professional organization and now it is tainted by greed and poor management habits. Their ruined their own model. It’s rare IMO to find a Realtor that cares about the transaction more than their income from it.
I think we could move to a system where residential real estate transactions must ultimately be settled in gold coins or bouillon, so price discovery and fluctuations would be less volatile. There is just so much greed, misallocated resources, and distortions in the housing market that imposing some monetary standard seems like a good place to start.
I think Zillow disrupts markets with their Zestimates putting undue pressure on appraisers and agents, creating unrealistic expectation on sellers - a nightmare

Mitch we need you in California
Every state.
LOL, Travis Mitch doesn't need to be in politics. That's just too inhumane. Mitch would be better off being a detective that he is. Travis you should be working side by side with this gentleman on anything he uncovers. You've got the platform and Mitch feeds you the information. What an awesome team
HALLELUJAH TO YOU TWO 🙌 🙏 👏 ❤️ ✨️ 😊
Thank you Mitch ..your a beast !!!
Greetings from Oklahoma Travis and Mitch
I have one question about the hurricane why can't they make wood out of all those trees give each homeowner a little sawmill
Right… I would have started to rebuild on my own. Pull up them bootstraps as they say
Because most of the wood is either damaged and twisted and toxic....
😂
You might make a temporary teepee-like hut at best with that kind of wood. Probably very unsafe to even burn that wood.
How does a hurricane cause trees to become toxic?
I think that Mitch should talk to President Trump! I believe the insight and information he provides may be invaluable to turning our country around.
100/ agreed it’s scary
So you just overpaid 45,000 for your house knowing it needs a new roof in about 5 years and it needs a new furnace, the housing market falls 40% and interest rares go through the roof ....good luck
that is the recipe for a strategic default
I think it's time we got this straight....it is the master bedroom not the owner's suite or main room. Master
PAYCHECK FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES ARE NOT INCOME 👈
I research Zillow for entertainment. Absolutely hilarious! On occasion the values match the properties .Just on occasion.
Oil giant BP laying off thousands and Starbucks to lay off thousands of corporate jobs by March. That was a busy Friday.
Mitch needs to run for local office. However, he doesn't have time to babysit.
Monthly benefits went up average 10-15$ a month and Medicare premiums went up at the same time so I don’t know who received this increase you are talking about??
My Medicare premiums went up by more than my 2.5% raise so I’ll be living on less this year than last year.
Yes
I don’t know about everyone but I worked 40 years paying into SS, I worked my last 9 years in a county job paying into a pension. So when I retired SS deducted 25% of my SS payments. How is that fair? I make a total of 1523.00 a month with both checks. I’m single, disabled, that’s poverty!😢😡😡
Now that the so-called “windfall elimination provision” has been repealed, you will receive your full Social Security benefit. And I believe you will be reimbursed for the last two years of deductions.
Ha my little shack is valued at 40 thousand which is more than I paid. It is kinda nice. Taxes 420 a year lol
40k? Man you be living lavish lol Mine is low 30's 😁 Mobile home paid for, new metal roof, 350 a month lot rent and low taxes too. Let's go
Yes he should run for Office....He has the knowledge and Passion.
I am not in Texas but yes Mitch please do and /or start some training programs for municipalities. I live in Pauls Valley OK and the “too small to care “ is happening here. A run away train and no one knows how to stop it. We need your help guys!
Mitch, so what were the results from your meeting with Congressionals ?? Did I miss that video ??
Good people who want to participate in government are prohibited. Voting is moot. I tried to get involved in my small town and the opposition to me was stunning. I wasn't even trying to run for anything, just appearing at town council meetings. I suspected corruption but it's far worse than I had imagined.
I’ve bought all of my real estate sight unseen. Got pretty lucky tbh
If something can't go on it will stop
Travis I can’t see the link to Mitch’s article/doc please can you post back
Zillow has contracts with NAR for their data This data is used to generate automated values which are all horse hockey. I was in residential valuation for 20 years. I wish I had a dollar for every person who quoted a value listed on Zillow.
Well said guy ….
Garbage in and garbage out, imo.
Mitch Vexler for Governor of California!!! Save that state from itself.
Can one go from negligence, if it is truly negligence, to become fraud?
I have been a real estate broker for 28 years and I am disappointed with the NAR and it’s affiliates. It was a wonderful professional organization and now it is tainted by greed and poor management habits. Their ruined their own model. It’s rare IMO to find a Realtor that cares about the transaction more than their income from it.
Why price gouging not working for them???? Anymore ?
For the algorithm. BONKERS
Mitch is too smart to become a sleazy pol. I saw him smirk at Travis suggested Go Swamp! 😏
I think we could move to a system where residential real estate transactions must ultimately be settled in gold coins or bouillon, so price discovery and fluctuations would be less volatile. There is just so much greed, misallocated resources, and distortions in the housing market that imposing some monetary standard seems like a good place to start.
There's not enough physical gold or silver to accomplish this. Do some study!
Can you please arrange to discuss top 10 banks financial situation,
Another one. Wowsers.
I think Zillow disrupts markets with their Zestimates putting undue pressure on appraisers and agents, creating unrealistic expectation on sellers - a nightmare
😂😂😂😂 $$$36.00, wow, i can get bread & butter😅😅😅
Run Mitch run
Run
It's all pump and dump
TGIF! 😘
Doorstur!

Yup! Mitch for president, clone him, and send him all over for local, state, and Fed.
WE ALL Need Mitch to somehow get moved to the highest levels of Politics. Help!!!
No- any honest candidate gets corrupted or bought off. Mitch can help the most doing his current gig.
Mitch is awesome👍 25:16

Gavin newsome and Karen bass needs to go. Yes they belong in jail. We the people will be held financially accountable for they're terrible decisions.
Companies like Microsoft can't fail, they are backed by the full faith and credit of the US tax payer.
Mitch for local office!
