I was a village boy in my family we never had any engineers or doctors a simple farming family we are , so i just picked up bca after school no one told me about engineering preparation, but with my cbse class 12 percentage i was getting a scholarship at bca collage so i took it , and i don't regret it at all ,it's my life and i am ready to go the way it takes it doing the best i can at the moment in time , i didn't know about coaching or books for entrance So i didn't do engineering didn't even try but i had my ncert and Rd Sharma so i just did 12th and it's been 3 yrs to that , i have a mba offer from Singapore University and queens collage London , and i didn't even strive for it just did the next best thing and best thing today
So to all keep going don't think of the future too much

Worth it means if you think it adds value to your career then only go for masters or if you feel that it is just taking your 2 years of time and hell lotta money from you in the name of better job security then don't do it. Because you can work in those two years first and will get better experience than masters

For a typical product company (not a remote one) We can easily expect a salary hike of 50% average as a fresher every year in the beginning few years (either job switch or promotion/increment in same company) and maybe slightly less in later years. How is the scenario in remote companies which can offer like 40-50 lac base pay to a fresher?
The increament is not that great but after exp of 2 years if you switch atleast 50%hike
It’s international companies, and that 40-50k not so much for that it’s the starting salary as a fresher in that country

Bro , India does have great competitive programmers , Priyansh Agarwal recently scored global rank 6 and AIR1. There's another legend - Utkarsh Gupta too. Tier 1 clg students within few years perform that much , Erricto n William n other foreign programmer started coding from school days ( they've around 10yrs of experience ).
IITians have the ability to become a great competitive programmers easily if they invest more than 4 yrs but would they ? They are smart enough to get into research, higher studies or some best job or even something much better, It's a smart descision i would say.

Hey a thing about mass recruiters. They also have pretty good roles for FRESHERS ONLY. For example IBM pays 11.5 lpa for the data consultant role,Accenture 10lpa for advanced application engineering analyst, Wipro 11 lpa for Turbo Star, Capgemini 7.5 lpa.
they are also introducing new role nowadays that are paying a bit high...

I've checked a number of platforms like AngelList, Linkedin, Indeed etc but I couldn't find any job openings that allowed people from other countries (like India) to apply. The remote opportunities were only for US or Canadian residents

I don't believe what you said about remote jobs. Your achievements , job and salary are highly suspicious.
@Computer Science and Careersthen it should've been mainstream , people doesn't care if it's development or cp or DSA or open source, wherever there's money and hope of getting a job , people will put efforts and try to crack it.
But I haven't seen or heard much about remote jobs , either selection ratio is very very very low or there's no such actuall path which people may follow to get that job, it sounds like making efforts in random directions and if its in the right direction (which we may never know) then only we might get that job which he's talking about.
And he's rich already its clearly visible, so he doesn't care about risks , he's just doing stuff which he likes - that path is not for everyone.

I'm a self learnt Frontend Developer, i did bca(open college, IGNOU) and graduated last year. When I got my first job all they asked about is the skills that they needed which was ReactJs. It was Indian startup and the pay was 2.4Lpa, it's too less but as it was my first job i accepted the offer. I worked there from November 21 to April 22 and now I've a remote job at us startup which is paying me 10lpa. Just 6 months of experience gave me 10lpa.
None of them asked me to show the degree, i interviewed and got selected for 2 other company as well, they also didn't ask for any degree, they wanted skills and i got them. So there you go.
