Love the cow dog. She puts some miles in!
Everyday!
My favorite shedding tool is the loop of steel that connects at the ends and can be reversed for a sweat scrapper. When unattached it fits the contours of their bodies so well. How satisfying it is to pull off loose fur!
Hi nice to see you again.I simply use a rubber currycomb and a lot of musclework ;) Best wishes from Germany.
👋🏻 hello again!
That method of haltering works, if you are 6'3" and the horse is 13:2. If you are 4'10", and the horse is 17:3, now what? Not picking on you, I love the way you handle horses, but not everybody can do things the same way.
Yeah a horse is only as tall as the tip its ears when his nose is on the ground. So however I showed it, a small child could get it to work. Not picking you and I teach a lot of different ways to do all things so anyone could do it.
Agreed, but I've been picked up by a horse several times, so it would have to be a really good horse before I would give him a hug where I was counting on his good nature to keep my feet on the ground. I've worked with some pretty bad horses, which weren't mine, so there was a limit to what I could do to correct them. I've worked with one really vicious Thoroughbred mare who had the reputation of having killed someone in the past, and she tried twice with me, once with my husband, once with a coworker and nearly succeeded with the equine dentist. So that is in the back of my mind with whatever I'm watching. @@peartreeranch
@@thirzapeevey2395- Why did you acquire a horse with that reputation, or did you learn its history only after buying her? Why did you keep her after efforts to kill both you and your husband? Riding is dangerous enough with the gentlest horses, I see no benefit to higher risk horse.
She wasn't mine. When you work with horses for a living, you don't always get a choice as to which ones you work with. You do the work you are assigned. Hubby and I both worked on the same horse farm, and we both had to deal with her.@@finngamesknudson1457
Your doggie looks like hes doing 5he circling game 😅
She can go!
An old rasp is the best shedding tool I’ve found.
That has the most votes so far
We love Pear Tree Ranching !❤
Thank you!
Haha! Sounds like UK weather....😊
New to your channel via Ryan.
Ok with haltering, what if your horse is taller than you, when putting the halter on and you can't get your arm over his neck?
Welcome! You can slide your lead over the neck and use it to teach them to lower their head. Eventually when you reach for them, they bring their head down to you.
Watching for a video update on the buckskin that was flipping over
That horse is coming in June! So stay tuned.
Love ya Buddy. Love watching your daily goings on. I knew I wanted a patience pole but now I know I need one. We all here in So. Oregon are prepping to see you at the end of May. Hugs to Steph and Johnny.
Excited to be coming and you get the pieces ready I"ll help weld it when I come if you want!
