Kobe and Shaq playing together was exactly like Curry and Durant playing together. You could argue those were 2 of the top 3 players and it made basketball boring unless you were a fan of LA. The thing with kobe is that his greatness is not only dependent on his individual achievement. He is revered so much because of his skillset. He played the game beautifully. He was the perfect player. His form, body, dribbling, the face.. For people who actually played competitive basketball, like me, he was just the player i wanted to pattern my game after. He was the MJ of the 00’s. Now, ask basketball players if they want to play like Lebron. I bet almost none will say they like how he plays. He has great achievements yes but when you throw a paper to a trashbin, do you say “Lebron!!”. No. You say “kobe!” Or “Steph”.
