Very cool riff! I like that you allow the time for the notes to ring out (chime). All too often, in my opinion, guitarists use tapping to shred as fast as possible, ala EVH. Impressive as that can be, it just becomes a blur. I had a teacher once tell me that the spaces between the notes are just as important as the notes you play. Your riff is quite melodic somewhat hypnotic. You might consider something like that for the anchor of a new movie score. Best of luck with the new release. Be well.
Hey John, thanks so much for the lovely comment. So glad you liked the riff. I agree, I am not motivated by speed at all, more melody. If the riff or lick doesn't sound good then I don't think I'd ever be won over with "but look how fast it is!?" those days are gone. Haha. Thanks for the wish of luck!
Holy hell... everything you play is inspiring (even the stuff other people wrote). This is brilliant and gives new insight into the single. Thanks for sharing your composition process. Love it! ⭐🌟⭐🌟🌟
I appreciate that! Thank you. I tried to do it in a contemporary way. The tapping isn’t for speed, it’s just the only way to play it with that kind of hypnotic cycling quality. 👏🏻👏🏻
as I MENTIONED in a previous lesson of yours.....I think it's cool you're in a band with Sophie....rock on bro....I'm in the US so I won't be making a trek across "the Pond" to come to any shows....

Definitely a cool riff, thanks for sharing the secret sauce that goes with it 🤘 Good luck with the gigs, I've got a really lame excuse like being 12,000 miles away.
