- If you are looking for a classic car and want to know the current state of the C3 Corvette marketplace and values of cars for sale, this is the video you need to watch!
I spent a couple of days at the Daytona Speedway filming and collecting data of C3s offered for sale.
The 34th Annual Spring Daytona Turkey Run took place Friday, March 22 through Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
And although the first day brought a rainy and windy start for the show. the weather improved considerably starting Friday at noon, with perfect car show weather for Saturday and Sunday.
The car corral included eighteen C3 Corvettes offered for sale ranging from projects to ready-to-drive-or-show Vettes of all years.
Prices also indicate an increase in how these cars are valued nowadays. Gone are the days of "cheap" good C3 Corvettes, and I think the upward trend will continue for at least a few more years.

True enough: 1st rule of buying a C3 is having a mechanic that knows how to repair and maintain them.Not "guessing"; really bad experience$.
@@that_thing_I_do The days of “cheep” C3 parts are long gone. Parts and labor makes restoration likely more expensive than buying a finished car.

It was parked in the Car Corral, so most likely yes. I believe they had close to 1,500 vehicles for sale at that event 😊👍🏻

Funny how prices seem up for the later run of the C3's, but lower for the early run of the C3's.

I believe that most buyers are finally realizing that buying a good car equals savings. Restorations are time-consuming and extremely expensive, so taking the time to find a great original example of what you want is a sound financial choice. Thank you for watching! 😊👍🏻

What most people don't get is that the miles on these type of cars are not actual miles, the odometers didnt go up to 100k. These are roll over miles. Still nice to look at and evn own.
These people are hiding the true mileage because collectors want low mileage examples, which are very rare. I have a hard time believing that a person bought a brand new Corvette in 1969, and ordered a 427 big block engine and only drove it 3 thousand miles in 50 years. Why would they pay 7 grand way back then making $3 an hour and just garage it ???

Interesting. The 1974-82 'Boulevard Cruisers' were basically considered junk by many for decades but are now getting their day and due.

But it doesn't. It's possible that the hood decals were changed, but they do not match the video. Just saying. People will claim anything to get another dollar from a classic car. I had someone try to pass off a 1978 TA as the one used in Smokey and the Bandit. Nice Try

They really need to show us a receipt or a title with Mellencamps name on it for me to believe that. Car flippers will fake anything just to get your money and run. And those people are destroying the classic car market by selling fake cars because they have no respect or money
