- I rarely bother with diplomatic, trade-focused builds in 4X games... but AoW4 might be the rare exception where peacefully vassalizing the world is actually MORE viable than outright conquest, especially when paired with the Silver-Tongued trait on an Order culture. Absolutely absurd value for very little effort.

I think a power game of this build would be when you create your custom realm and pickup the Bannerlords Misc trait, with either as you stated, Chosen Uniters or Bannerlords and Silver Tongued. This was all-in-all amazing, it's pretty cool you can literally be a generally peaceful Empire and just focus on Diplomatic Relations with Free Cities & other good aligned Empires to become allies etc., and you're not forced to wage wars on others.

Yeah, I now have reason to use Enchantment instead of Horde as a starting tome. Roots and Glade are still the best #2 and #3 tomes.
Glade runner spam is so very broken.
As for befriending free cities en masse; it's the best way to deal with enemy wizards's capitols. Make 'em a free city.

'become pretty darn good'? what an understatement, lol
Dusk Hunters don't become pretty good, the potential for +3 range (Awakened, Legend rank and the range enchantment) along with the AoE enchantment, on top of all the other buffs they can get, allow them to become borderline op - I genuinely can't think of any other T1 unit that can match that damage potential.
Maybe Mystic culture's Arcanists could come close but they're limited to single target.
Barbarian culture's Sunderers could do some work because they also get the AoE enchantment, but their ranged attack is about half the damage potential; base 16 single hit vs base 10 multi hit.
There is a society trait i havent seen before in your game called Artifact Hoarders. Is that a mod?
