People from San Francisco hate the term “frisco” and never refer to it as that. Only people who aren’t from there say that. That’s why they were booing that guy at the beginning
One thing I can say is this: Jeselnik just proves that it doesn't matter about what you joke, as long as the actual joke and the delivery are on point. P. S. Gervais says as much as well: there's nothing you can't joke about. It depends on the joke...
People hate it here when someone calls it Frisco... that was the big groan.... he should know better or isn't really from here. It sounds like nails on a chalkboard when we hear it. You could tell the room didn't like it at all. It actually makes people angry. This has been the case for generations... my parents and grandparents hated it too.
@Mike Ross SF is very transient. Lots of people move here from other places for a period and try to act local. One of the first things they do is call it "Frisco" like they are local, but it stands out that they aren't. For some reason, it creates a visceral reaction with actual locals. It just sounds wrong and fake, and we hate it. Can't really explain it better than that, but it's definitely a thing.
The Boo's when the guy said "Frisco" is because anyone who is really from San Francisco doesn't call it "Frisco". That nickname is actually despised by SF natives. Source: Am from SF.
I first saw Jeselnik on a Roast on Comedy Central...I don't remember who was being roasted, but I remember thinking he was really weird and just moderately funny. He is one of those comedians that you are not sure about at first, maybe you don't even like, but by the time you see him a third time, he becomes one of your favorites of all time. I must have been sleeping during that Roast because this guy is HYSTERICAL... It hurts, I am actually in pain right now from laughing.
@@kongvinter33 While you’re mostly correct as far as most jokes on the roast go, like with celebrities that aren’t comedians, but I’m pretty sure Anthony writes his own jokes for Roasts. And is probably on the writing staff for the ones he’s in as well.
@@kongvinter33 Jeselnik was actually one of the writers for those Comedy Central roasts. Comedy Central loved his work so much they put him on the Trump roast, which he killed, and they signed him on for more roast appearances, his Comedy Central show, and the Caligula special. That Bieber joke about the, "What do you get when you give a teenager 2 million dollars? A bunch of has-beens calling you a lesbian for 2 hours" has his fingerprints all over it, no?..lol But yeah, he could never be his fully offside self on one of those shows, it's a roast, not a slaughter..haha
I'm from Reno, a few hours away and "Frisco" is even red flag here. "San Francisco" or "SF" is okay. If you live there, you're more likely to refer to what part of the Bay you're from. SF: West Bay, Oakland/Berkeley: East Bay, San Rafael: North Bay, San Jose: South Bay. If you're in SF proper and someone asks where you live, they'll say their neighborhood (the Mission, Castro, etc)
Hey Ben subbed for a couple years now since beachchairs scraping the walls. I just found out when they say " Aww SH*T this N***a trippin" actually means : I find this quite amusing
Some good comedy is from a guy named Nick Di Paolo. He is pretty damn funny! He doesn't have the dark humor of Anthony Jeselnik, but he is funny! Another guy to check out is Jimmy Carr. He is a master of the hidden punchline!
i have to stop. i kept wanting to give this guy a chance bc u guys seemed to think he was funny but sorry this guy just comes off with huge trump supporter vibes =/ not for me
Was waiting for part 4, more Anthony Jeselnik, and more Tosh if you can find any more. Also I want Frank’s dad back reacting!

on the Roasts of CC, other writers write the jokes. I dont think any of those jokes were written by The Jesel

He talks about it on his podcast. He def wrote every joke.

They boo'd when he said "Frisco" because nobody from the Bay Area says "Frisco" or "San Fran". That's how we know y'all ain't from around here. =)

Where did Anthony''s astronaut uncle have lunch that day ?...............
All over Florida.
This is some dark comedy lol
People who live here don't call it Frisco.
The knowing world calls it
San FranCESSpool.
Own it.

No one on the planet calls it Frisco. Except for douchebags. Which primary live in Frisco lol.
You should react to Joy Diaz sister hyacinth
Just out of curiosity… How do you guys feel about marijuana?
dark, slightly uncomfortable, guilty for being funny
3:46 audio started to echo here
These two always look like they are smoking the best buds in the world which are grown here in South Australia
i cant wait for the rest of this special. its so funny. 😂
I love dead baby jokes
It’s okay to laugh because they’re not real babies. Comedians tell jokes - not sure why some people don’t get that.
I just had a vision of Frank and Rondo doing videos in their 70’s as 3D holograms lol. I’ll still be watching

Love how Jeselnik doesn't stop until the whole crowd is groaning! 🤣
This was a great series!
I laugh too hard at Jeselnik sometimes. Love the reaction guys, can't wait for Part 5.
During an autopsy 😯😂
In the Bay Area we call it Frisco amongst other names
People from SF don’t call it Frisco.
Jeselnik is comedic genius
If a serial killer was a comedian.
If you think This is dark…..:)…just wait!!
Also, Sam Morril is great.
Hey check out Doug Stanhope "Jews"
Damn, the guilt. He might be sick for real. 😂😂😂
I've been catching you guys from the get go. Bravo.

I haven't heard her in a while, but maybe Kathleen Madigan would be fun to do sometime soon. She was a favorite of mine for a hot minute.
"Fuck them kids" - (Probably) Anthony Jeselnik
I'm still trying to figure out why "Frisco" would be a nickname 🤔
goddamn
Why don’t you guys kiss anymore in the intro, Can we bring that back?

I'm in here like swim wear.
Wise man said "the first million is always the hardest" who said that. Hitler? lofl

It's about time!
Oh lawdddddd

I liked this before watching. Intro still going cuz I type fast on my phone.
He definitely doesn't come across as funny as Daniel Tosh does. Jeselnik seems to be more of a cringe/uncomfortable laugh.
I do like Jeselnik, I know his style but can't laugh at dead baby jokes, call me a hypocrite or weak....I just can't.

You should watch Anthony on the Donald Trump roast. You can search it. He tells Trump to his face, "No one will be sad when you get cancer."
