His delivery is exquisite and, to me, feels like the punchline is always a fraction of a second slower than I would normally expect. They say comedy is about timing and his builds anticipation.
His timing is perfect, because the pause he always builds-in allows your mind to come up with your own punchline or twist, and then bam, his own unique twist comes in and its always not what you were expecting.
You said it perfectly. His humor is bright. Somehow, Anthony's delivery of dark subjects is so amazing that we understand from the beginning that he is joshing, no matter how evil the actual words. He is a comedic genius.
With Anthony it's a lot about misdirection and subversion. He takes his time, letting you wonder where the joke is going, and if he's able to surprise you, the joke works.
One of the great things that makes Jeselnik stand out is how he does his act. Most comedians do some storytelling and some quick one-liners; a mix that gives them more wiggle room to get through the act. Jeselnik's performance relies on the clever switch mid delivery, so every single joke has to land. The switch has to work, because that's where the real laugh comes from. It's everything.
I have seen him live and he was amazing but jokes and punchlines aside; if everyone could speak as slowly and clearly as Anthony there would be no wars and conflicts in this world... He speaks the truth about the prayers...
I don't know that there is any comedian that has that precise kind of delivery. And he is *committed* to the bit. Rarely ever breaks character. Love your channel! Peace.
You should react to Daniel Tosh specifically the bits called Black and White. He is hilarious and is like Jeselnik and Burr he says some things that “cross the line” for lack of a better term.
There's a King of the Hill episode where Hank makes Bobby smoke an entire carton. He caught Bobby smoking, and decided that he was gonna make sure he'd never want to smoke again. All it did was get Bobby addicted, and re-addict Hank and Peggy after they had quit for 20 years. Good episode.
When he's talking about the "thoughts and prayers" at the end. In his special he makes a great comment during that deliver. He says "you know how I'm not making fun of victims when I tweet about tragedy? Because victims aren't on twitter the day of a tragedy, they have victim shit to do that day." So true, and too funny.
Remember in Rush Hour 1 when Chris Tucker's character was surrounded by badguys, and he was about to fight one of them, and suddenly a kick hit him from the side, and he was all like: ".....Which one of y'all just kicked me?!" I feel like Anthony Jeselik's punchlines are like that.
I only recently discovered your channel, but I’ve already watched over a dozen of your reaction videos in the last couple of days. I love your genuine reactions and your great sense of humor, and the fact you can actually take a joke (so rare these days). Keep ‘em coming.
How's it going @BrittReacts? Just catching you for the first time. Really enjoying your responses. Also, your mic seems to be over gained sometimes? You may want to take a look at your levels. Otherwise, super professional production!
Well, this was a pleasant discovery. He kind of reminds me of Jimmy Carr's darker stuff. If you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend that you do (I know you've done some Jimmy Carr but he goes a whole lot darker than he has done in the vids that I've seen you react to). Meanwhile, I'll be checking out more of this guy. There's something about brutally dark humor that just works for me.
One of Anthony's influences is a comedian named Stephen Wright. However, While the delivery is simular, Stephen Wright never did the controversial humor that Anthony does... Stephen did more, weird type humor with a slow, straight delivery. (I have seen modern reactors, react to Stephen Wright and most do not enjoy him as much as I did in the late 70s so maybe it is a case of you just had to be there at the time.)
Jeselnik has possibly the most offensive thing that’s ever been televised. It’s honestly darker than dark. He got literally thousands of death threats for it. Idk if you’d post a reaction because I wouldn’t be surprised if you watched it and just said: “Nope, there’s a line and he definitely crossed it.” It’s called “Shark Party”
I love Anthony. Dark, dry humor and he has an obvious pattern: The setup line and then a hard left turn to some dark punchline you didn't see coming. What makes him brilliant? Even knowing the left turn is coming, you STILL cant predict what it is.
Love the channel. You seem to have a mind to stuff that probably offends. All respect. It must said, speaking as an middle aged whitey, your skin is translucent, just freaky beautiful!
For a minute there it looked like you were you biting the inside of your mouth trying to not laugh at the wrong joke. It didn't work did it. It's because all his jokes are wrong on many levels, that's why they are sooo funny. Love your reactions. Damn girl I just scrolled through your library looking for Daniel Tosh, doesn't look like it but WOW do you have a broken leg or something you have created more content, more subs in only a couple months than alot of reaction channels in a couple of years. Hope you didn't turn this into a 60 hour a week job. Unless you just changed names and started a new channel don't burn yourself out too quickly. Would hate for this to be like an amazing 1 season sitcom. Keep up the good work.
5:18 I knew a kid who had parents that busted him with chew........they made him eat and entire can of copenhagen. He was 9 years old, it didn't work, at 10 he always had chew in his lip. He threw up a bunch due to what his parents did........he also became a rabid nicotine addict. The year would have been around 1988...........so yeah.......things were different.
I'm so worn out from lmao 1st at AJ's punchline and then bursting secondary lol when Britt doesn't get it. Such as being concerned that Jessica is a real person , the to go box, etc.😅😅
React to one of his whole specials. You are going to have to break it up into 3 or 4. You know how UA-cam can be lol. "Shakespeare" is a good one! We'll be here for it. Much Love!
the best way to describe his humor, one of my friends said, its like youre listening to his jokes, and you can tell hes going from A to B, so youre like oh here we go, then, causually and nonchalantly as ever, he goes to Z. and it makes your jaw drop
My mom caught me smoking one of her cigarettes when I was 11 y/o and made me smoke a whole pack. My god was I sick 🤢 I didn't learn my lesson though smh
The last bit was in reference to how Anthony will tweet a really dark joke the day of a tragedy. Nothing is safe from this man, and yet, we must protect him at all costs.
@4:52 I think that joke is about a kid being caught smoking, so his parents made him smoke the whole pack to torture him into hating it...but misinterpreted the punishment.
I adore yours reaction, sometime you talk to much, but your so cute and beauty that I forget and don't bother me,god channel, one of the few I'm watching, your smart and intelegence woman, beside pretty face, charm, grace, and sex appeal that is the most important thing, send you a lot of kisses and hugs from Serbia, former Yugoslavia🍀♥️🌹
If you want another comedian like him check out Jimmy Carr. I always describe Anthony as the American version of Jimmy Carr even though jokes per minute Jimmy smashes Anthony out of the water but I love 'em both. 😉✌
I love Jeselnik performances........he is almost the adverse of my favorite comic. Doug Stanhope. Jeselnik does jokes and lets everyone know that he is playing a part, they're just jokes. Stanhope has jokes because he has done/lived those jokes and often people mistakenly assume they are just jokes. I believe both are the best at doing their entirely different styles.
Another really good comedian with the dead pan delivery is Steven Wright. I highly recommend watching some of his stuff. If you ever saw Half Baked, Steven Wright was the "couch guy" in that movie.
I think you are just amazing at what you do ! Cheerful, beautiful, funny and smart. Damn, are interested in a 57 year old man child who lives in Sudbury, Ontario Canada ?
Mitch Hedberg would be someone I think you would enjoy. Was a legend. One liner king. Delivery can be like this or can be him laughing at his own jokes while telling them
His delivery is exquisite and, to me, feels like the punchline is always a fraction of a second slower than I would normally expect. They say comedy is about timing and his builds anticipation.
His timing is perfect, because the pause he always builds-in allows your mind to come up with your own punchline or twist, and then bam, his own unique twist comes in and its always not what you were expecting.
Dudes nothing short of surgical.
😂😂😂 Anthony’s dark humor makes me happy!!! More ppl should experience dark humor bc they’re wrapped too tight.
I've always appreciated dark humor and Anthony has shown me the edge boundary where I'm not sure I can go beyond.
You said it perfectly. His humor is bright. Somehow, Anthony's delivery of dark subjects is so amazing that we understand from the beginning that he is joshing, no matter how evil the actual words. He is a comedic genius.
I concur
Norm Macdonald and Daniel Tosh both have somewhat similar delivery styles in their comedy. Both are worth checking out for sure.
I love Norms newlywed game joke that involves a popsicle.
With Anthony it's a lot about misdirection and subversion. He takes his time, letting you wonder where the joke is going, and if he's able to surprise you, the joke works.

please next time make comedian bigger and that black dude smaller
I have seen him live and he was amazing but jokes and punchlines aside; if everyone could speak as slowly and clearly as Anthony there would be no wars and conflicts in this world...
He speaks the truth about the prayers...
Let me help you Brit... Find Mitch Hedberg, Stephen Wright and Sam Kinnison. Tell me what you think.
As soon as she said "that is awful" I paused, disliked and posted this comment.. now I'm gonna exit out.
Ty
I don't know that there is any comedian that has that precise kind of delivery. And he is *committed* to the bit. Rarely ever breaks character. Love your channel! Peace.
You have to check out Louis CK!! The unofficial king of comedy from '08 to '17!
Damn, you are stunning. 🔥 Jeselnik is hilarious. 😆
His delivery is genius, he is legendary, easily in the top 3 comics, he's one of a kind
I love watching your face change on his punch lines 😂
His delivery and timing is ON POINT!
I am also a recent fan of A.J. He has one of the most unique delivery styles I have ever seen.
He’s mastered the art of holding the punch line just long enough for you to forget that it’s coming.
You should react to Daniel Tosh specifically the bits called Black and White. He is hilarious and is like Jeselnik and Burr he says some things that “cross the line” for lack of a better term.

Why is she still talking?!
Don't you tak to me like tha, gurrrl. You know your married.
When he's talking about the "thoughts and prayers" at the end. In his special he makes a great comment during that deliver. Anthony reminds me of Christopher Walken. Rip. Very similar cadence and rhythm. Go watch Christopher talking and you will see what I mean.
First video on my UA-cam reel of the day. Amazingly beautiful and sweet person to "wakeup to" lol.

Jeselnik roasting Charlie Sheen, watch if you wish, if not busy watching NF lost or NF outcast or NFclouds.
I love Anthony. Dark, dry humor and he has an obvious pattern: The setup line and then a hard left turn to some dark punchline you didn't see coming. What makes him brilliant? Even knowing the left turn is coming, you STILL cant predict what it is.

His punchlines, delivery, awkward jokes are literally just a Daniel Tosh 2.0.
Hey Britt 👋. If you like some dead pan delivery then you have to check out Steven Wright 😉. Hilarious 😂
Oh come on. Love the reactions, but Jesselnik? Norm MacDonald! Start with the alcoholism bit!
I'm so worn out from lmao 1st at AJ's punchline and then bursting secondary lol when Britt doesn't get it.
Such as being concerned that Jessica is a real person , the to go box, etc.😅😅

I'm crushing on Britt. She is beautiful. But yeah, A.J. also happens to be hilarious.
Oh you should do Ben Bailey's Nearly Flightless Birds.
ua-cam.com/video/waf5VxpvU2U/v-deo.html
the best way to describe his humor, one of my friends said, its like youre listening to his jokes, and you can tell hes going from A to B, so youre like oh here we go, then, causually and nonchalantly as ever, he goes to Z. and it makes your jaw drop
He jokes about the dark things, and the world becomes brighter. From Russia with love.
Best comedian right now... fantastic stuff!
Your sound in the video was kind of bad, a bit too loud and with some kind of interference in it.
Cheers
You should check out Steven Wright. The King of dry sarcastic humor.
Deadpan, the style of delivery he uses is known as deadpan. Steven Wright is another famous deadpan comedian
What ur experiencing is called high-brow comedy.
Anthony's voice being so serious in beginning to unravel to comedy is CRAZY
Britt, check out Mitch Hedberg. Anthony reminds me of him but he's a little smoother.
I think his delivery was influenced by Steven Wright. Wright is even drier, though not so dark.
My mom caught me smoking one of her cigarettes when I was 11 y/o and made me smoke a whole pack. My god was I sick 🤢 I didn't learn my lesson though smh
The verbiage you’re searching for is “dark irony comedy delivered deadpan.”
gr8 dumbnail. Definitely don't change those.
Brilliant take on this man’s delivery. It’s all I can hear now. Ps~ also kinda pissed @ u about the whole thing.
Anthony Jeselnik - The Worst Crowd I've Ever Had
his favorite comic is steven wright --- and his delivery style actually gives this fact away
The last bit was in reference to how Anthony will tweet a really dark joke the day of a tragedy. Nothing is safe from this man, and yet, we must protect him at all costs.
Need to check out Steven Wright, also dry and someone Anthony says he modeled his delivery from.
@5:12 my Mom made me smoke a pack in 3rd grade lol puked like hell, still a pack a day Mom for 25 years since 13 lol
Anthony is a master of his craft and a true one of a kind.
One of the greatest properties of a Jeselnik set is the steady buidup of "oh hell no" he has going on. It's frankly remarkable, borderline amazing.
@4:52
I think that joke is about a kid being caught smoking, so his parents made him smoke the whole pack to torture him into hating it...but misinterpreted the punishment.
Yeah, Anthony Jeselnik is one of my favorite comedians. I wish he had more comedy specials. His comedy is dark conceded perfection.
Only two different dates on video's for "first time reacting to Jeselnik" ? 😂
wow
He's the master of the swerve... you follow him in a logical flow and then he goes in a direction that is so unexpected.
Dry,Monotone with a bright spot that makes the jokes work and I think damn good.
Only thing this channel missing is some Louisck
Plz react to Louis ck
Anthony grew up a few neighborhoods away from the one I grew up in but he is much younger than me
He's known as "THE DARK COMIC".
You need to check out daniel tosh stand up please. Love your reactions.
A joke of his on CPR is his best.. Short but, the best!!!!!!!!!
That last bit isn't even a joke to me, that's just the straight damn truth, lol.
Funny stuff, but prayers are only worthless without intent.
"Thoughts and prayers" by Jessie
Oh nevermind he did the bit at the end
Deadpan is the word you're looking for.
His roast of Charlie Sheen is epic, i almost fell of my chair
The master of macabre misdirection...
He is always misdirecting the audience.
At first I thought you were Alicia Keyes
his delivery is norm MacDonald level!
"His delivery is like, um, [silence]"
i cackled
Jeselnik Worst crowd I ever had
cadence ...his cadence is sooo good.
You mic is too hot. Pull back you levels.
his delivery is considered "dead pan"
Its hook line sinker. Then repeat
Jeez your lips are sooo gorgeous
Haven't seen a reaction to this guy yet. He has a different style, but brilliant if you appreciate it. 👍✌❤
Anthony is awesome!
“What happened to the 5th child, Anthony?” Anthony was the 5th child. He didn’t need protection bc he had the gun. 😂
If you want another comedian like him check out Jimmy Carr.
I always describe Anthony as the American version of Jimmy Carr even though jokes per minute Jimmy smashes Anthony out of the water but I love 'em both. 😉✌

Loving this channel, as I've never heard of this guy and this is opening up new avenues,
Funny thing is ! Funny American humour! Who knew.
Mitch Hedberg would be someone I think you would enjoy. Was a legend. One liner king. Delivery can be like this or can be him laughing at his own jokes while telling them
For the algorithm
