You could also manually create a Daily Loss Limit for any/all accounts in Rithmic to prevent yourself from going on tilt.
Very good analysis and comparison Andrew, I'll definitely have a proper look at topstep in the future 👍
Valid points. Trading is difficult enough as it is--Apex's arbitrary rules like intraday trailing drawdown and slow payout approvals only work against traders to encourage failure. Check out the starter accounts with MFFU too. Great price, no activation fees, EOD drawdown, up to 3 total SIM accounts, and lightning fast payouts. I've been very happy
the tiny catch with topstep is you can withdraw only 50% out of the profits you made, also for each withdrawal you have to have at least 5 profitable trades to withdraw.. not a deal breaker at all. I am also building up my XFA and aiming to scale up to 5 xfas... Thanks for the content brother and happy trading!
Hi Rob, definitely valid points and ones I was aware of perhaps should have mentioned but like you say I don’t feel like that is a barrier. We’ve all had many days over $200 and 5 days on Apex without being eligible to take a payout
How is that different from Apex? 10 days for apex....and consistence rule. You can actually take out 2.5k or more with top step in 5 days with good trading days.
@@Carminocat Agreed
Nice work APEX very valid points
With Apex PA’s just get $400-$600 each day (on 20 copytraded accounts) and log off. Hop on your personal account or other prop and keep trading as you wish.
That’s what I was doing to be fair and I’ve had enough payouts. I was just suggesting that different trading styles should determine what prop firm favours it
I understand your point here, but I think you really should address the risk management aspect of your trading. Also have to learn how to be a good loser. I recently came out of the mindset that DCA is sustainable when I noticed on many of Words of rizdom panels that NONE of them DCA. If it was sustainable other largely consistent/profitable traders would be doing it at their large account sizes.
I do agree. DCA is something that should not be considered lightly however if used correctly you should not be penalized for doing it. I’m also working on my Psychology. Trying to keep things to paper cuts but it’s inevitable at some point we will all go on tilt
Static accounts are the way to go. At least 10 accounts
The biggest hurdle with Apex is the trailing drawdown
trailing drawdown?
