  • This episode features Pravachan by Vidwan Shatavadhani Gannavaram Lalithadithya on the qualities of a Guru and the meaning of a Parampara.
In this episode, the significance of Guru and Guru Parampara is explained.
In the Advaita tradition, seeking refuge in the feet of the Guru who imparts Atma Vidya is a prerequisite for a seeker of Moksha .
The Guru is not only a Stotriya (authority in Sastras) but also a Brahmanishta (always abides in Brahman) and is free of desire & sins.
Guru Parampara refers to the lineage of such Gurus.
Sri Shankara had setup four Amnaya Peetams in each direction of Bharat. The Dakshinamnaya Peetam at Sringeri has been blessed with an Avichinna Guru Parampara i.e unbroken lineage of Gurus who have been showering blessings on devotees.
