I'm a new drummer, and this channel has seriously helped me more than any other teachers.
That's a beautiful drum kit
that bass drum lugg is BLESSED :D
yess, its enlightened
Man, that drum sound is AMAZING! Freakin' love the bass.
These videos from Sean Lang helped me to go on... no... to break through! Just awesome. Waiting to see another one and also for intermediate and advanced drummers.
Great Job and thanks for taking the time to share this!!!
Love this... Thanks for all the fill ideas bro...
thanks for the lesson!! i have been practicing punk style drum for a few years, and ive always wanted to learn metal :)
This dude/channel is awesome. Thank you for your service.
Amazing kick dude....thoroughly enjoyed...helpful
I had no idea that gonzalo higuain played the drums. xD
Your kit sounds amazing!
oh gawd, i was looking so long for a beginner tutorial, i love your videos :x this helped me alot to get a better drummer :x
nice easy and fun presentation man
I love the tempo you've used for the fills... it's not too slow and not too fast. Once you get them down then you can speed it up. But knowing the fundamentals that your teaching is super important. I still have my rudiments on a huge poster off to the right side of the drum... so I can glance over if need be and get back to basics. I also enjoy you putting the actual notes up.
awesome set up bro
Great lesson my friend.
it is always good to go over the basics, even if you have a lot of basics
Nice..Beginning to get the hang of it..
You guys always have a good bass drum sound. I was wondering how you got it that way
awesome job
It`s sounds so cool and clean! :D
@Villex93 It's a mix of trigger and acoustic sound. He mentioned it in the live metal lesson he did a few months back.
Love the intro !
Loved the bloopers!
Very good sound
He's got a double pedal.
Joe Granger we to I am 10
Yea, what's your point?
Joe Granger if you don't use a double bass in metal, you're doing it wrong(I found out the hard way as a begginer)
Sucks when you’re watching the video and don’t own one
It's metal so yeah duh unless he has 2 basses
Killer tom sound!!!
that is the most beautiful sounding rack tom ever.
really neat vid
Thanks for the tips, I'm a shitty drummer who just got a double pedal, but this has helped me a ton.
That bass drum sounds soooooo nice
Wow, sheet music for drums makes learning it SOOOOO much easier, JESUS
James Deal some famous drummers in bands don’t know how to read sheet music and play by ear
Said noone ever
That's how I play, my left hand leads and my right foot leads. Have no problem playing this way but a few moves must be practiced with more attention in order to ensure everything goes as expected. Sometimes, I need to change the first hit another hand or foot, but nothing too hard.
@drumgroovy Yes that's the another main reason for trigger use. I would recommend triggers for 170bpm and over because of that.
Greetings.
Why is the snare written on the third line instead of the third space?
dude that's sick
very nice
what type of tom heads do you use? Top and Bottom? drums sound great
I always felt like Cozy Powell is someone that many beginner Metal drummers should study, especially if you're planning to use double bass. I'm not saying his fills are easy, rather I think if you take time and learn some of his fills it'll help you immensely even when you're playing more extreme sub genres!
that ride!
@drumgroovy I know :) I use triggers too to boost the sound when I play myself. I don't record anything though.
That ride sounds beautiful! Which HH model is it?
@Villex93 I think he uses it more to define the kicks because he does go pretty fast at times.
NR. Three is awesome if you increase to 32'nd notes in the solo 4 bass drum notes.. It's only 160bpm in 16'th and if you use slide or heel-toe, then it's pretty easy aswell.. Try it :)
I have a question for Sean:
How often do you break your cymbals?
THAT BASS DRUM IS A FUCKING EARGASM EVERY TIME YOU HIT IT!
that means i HAVE to change how i play? do you think i can still play if i use left-right technique for my feet and right-left for my hands?
What I was trying to say is that Sabians are very durable cymbals. Sabians AAX-series along with Meinl's Mb20-series are some of the most durable cymbals on the market.
Nice
I am having troubles separating my kick foot from my right hand as in playing off beats on the kick. Any suggestions?
What program use for sheet music/scores?
@TheLeagueoffailure
Not really. In my drum line class, we have exercises with our left hands. I need work on my left hand btw. Anyways, its just visual things. If you're behind a kit, it shouldn't matter.
What bass drum do you use during this video?
i know that. im asking, can i still play if i use left-right for my feet and right-left for my hands?
yyyyeah. thanks for the advise, much appreciated
as a guitarist learning drums, this was very helpful
Hell yeah, i am doing the same. As a guitar player i’ve always wanted to learn drums and wanted to be able to record all the instruments in a song. I haven’t posted anything in a long time. My buddy has a kit at my new house in the studio. I have the basic beats down and my double bass and foot work is getting really good. But my fills are garbage 😂 i have been practicing these fills to a click and it’s a great starting point.
@@SheaRecordmetal learn fraction fills. they make you sound way better than you actually are
this kit sounds great, does anybody know the name of it?!
can beginners try with double bass as soon as comfortable with some groove on one pedal
?
Your awesome
GREAAAT! Thanks a lot!! o/
@DzeboVolodija I've only broken a few in 15 years, so....rarely!
are you gonna be posting any intermediate/advanced metal stuff? we all know the basic stuff
What are thoes AAX Crashes? Xplosion, Stage?
Yes
yesss
What kit are you using?
I finally understand why I have to learn mallets.
can anyone tell me, if i start from left hand and left foot, are there gonna be problems when i play?
How do you tune your drums
how do u get ur bass drum to sound so deep ??? #earorgasm :3
cool
Fairly
What kind of cymbal did he use?
Learn and master to play both ways, and I suppose start with whichever is most comfortable.. When you practice, try switching which foot is your lead foot (and you should already be doing so with your hands :P)
Yes.
what is the name of the ending song?
Basic are beautiful when you go faster
lol I thought in the beginning you said your name was Shia LeBeouf xD
Milkitalix JUST DO IT!
"The sky is literally the limit". I don't know about that, but great video.
Shut up
Bballguy1121 Make him
I much prefer Zildjian as to Sabian, however as Albin said, it IS all about preference
what do you mean by intermediate/advanced? Because you can come up with your own sick fills jusyt by knowing this basic stuff.
Subscribed................ "Island of Mindanao Here, Philippines"
Im a really good drummer...im just getting used to the tempo and 4th and 8th notes and all that stuff xD so yes...these videos do help beginners
Sabian have the best price/durabilty/sound-ratio in the cymbal world as of now. But it's all personal preference. If you like Meinl or TRX or any other cymbal brand, that's your opinion.
waiting patiently for the advanced part...
can someone help me answer my question? im in a full band and im a drummer how do i like make up like beats? when i try to make up stuff... i just can't and i took drum lessons for 1 year so far. respond asap please :/
what is the name ex. 3 ??
nice tune uhhh
1:13 sounds familiar.....
How do you tune your bass drum to get that sound? It's got so much attack but it doesn't ring out or lack any bass. I can't make mine sound like that :(
dont know for sure but i think its miked or triggered
Gretsch Drummer I put a pillow inside and somehow tuned it. Sounded pretty much like that
Jesus Christ it's obviously triggered!
I put a pillow in mine
i wanted to hear you play them fast...
what is with awesome drummers all having last name Lang?
that is a sexy kit
which drum kit are you playing ?....
Indranil Aich the 3rd one
ABOOOOOOOOOOOTTT!
are those dw pedals? they sound phenomenal
That are Axis pedals.
Lia The pedals don't make the sound...
dat sound of floor tom ...uff
its a casey drum stain series
Are you related to Thomas Lang?
