I love the tempo you've used for the fills... it's not too slow and not too fast. Once you get them down then you can speed it up. But knowing the fundamentals that your teaching is super important. I still have my rudiments on a huge poster off to the right side of the drum... so I can glance over if need be and get back to basics. I also enjoy you putting the actual notes up.

That's how I play, my left hand leads and my right foot leads. Have no problem playing this way but a few moves must be practiced with more attention in order to ensure everything goes as expected. Sometimes, I need to change the first hit another hand or foot, but nothing too hard.

@drumgroovy Yes that's the another main reason for trigger use. I would recommend triggers for 170bpm and over because of that.

I always felt like Cozy Powell is someone that many beginner Metal drummers should study, especially if you're planning to use double bass. I'm not saying his fills are easy, rather I think if you take time and learn some of his fills it'll help you immensely even when you're playing more extreme sub genres!

NR. Three is awesome if you increase to 32'nd notes in the solo 4 bass drum notes.. It's only 160bpm in 16'th and if you use slide or heel-toe, then it's pretty easy aswell.. Try it :)

Not really. In my drum line class, we have exercises with our left hands. I need work on my left hand btw. Anyways, its just visual things. If you're behind a kit, it shouldn't matter.

Hell yeah, i am doing the same. As a guitar player i’ve always wanted to learn drums and wanted to be able to record all the instruments in a song. I haven’t posted anything in a long time. My buddy has a kit at my new house in the studio. I have the basic beats down and my double bass and foot work is getting really good. But my fills are garbage 😂 i have been practicing these fills to a click and it’s a great starting point.
