When I worked an evening job I used to watch The Judge every weekday morning. Would love to see this series on DVD.

As an adult child of an alcoholic myself, I can understand this episode. My dad, fortunately, did recover and went to AA, but it took me awhile to make peace with him before he sadly died of cancer at the age of 50, the age I am now.

1:20 - “What you are about to see is a dramatization of an actual case in family court. Because of the emotional and sensitive nature of the issues are presented here. Judge Franklin’s courtroom is closed to the public. The proceedings are to begin.”

Judge Judy needs to watch a couple of episodes and see how a Judge should conduct themselves in a courtroom.

I don't know why some of them were taken down. Maybe the person who put them up on his account closed his account?

"No it's not fine!" It's not? You want your DAUGHTER down that same path, too? Dorothy, you and Owen want what's best for Marilyn, right? Well, this is the only way to go.

They haven't actually lost their son to drugs, but I guess you could look at it that way if you think he hasn't gotten help yet like Marilyn is trying to.

I liked this show, but I liked Divorce Court better. Didn't care for Superior Court though.

    • @iandotson9090

Superior Court was ok. There is a clip from an episode on UA-cam. It was about the Mormons, which they referred to as the "Church of the Latter Day saints". They questioned a man in the church and called him "reverend". There are no reverends in the Mormon church. They are not like Catholic and Protestant churches. They also got the church history totally wrong. It was clear that not one person on that program did any research about the Mormons

I watched the judge as a kid. It made me want to be a lawyer. This particular episode was terrible. The acting was terrible especially the woman who played the daughter. The woman who played the mother wasn't much better. Way over the top.

Well, it is supposed to be that way, I guess. I was moved by this episode where the father finally admitted what they were doing was wrong.
