Thai House Build Week 4

@RetiredTranquilinThailand - RAce Country Thailand Cottage Week 4 build update. This week the footing pits/columns were backfilled and the land under where the house will sit on the framework was also raised. The carport & workshop floor beams were poured into place. The builder then discovered they were set in place - 35 cm too high - creating options (1) to have the been removed and repoured correctly, or (2) accept it and raise the house 35 cm to compensate. The carport was to be at ground/road level so this mistake provide a 1.5 degree upward slope to the carport to ensure rain would run off - & a better solution so we accepted the mistake as a better design outcome. It creates a bit more work for the house construction as the footing column and plinth/main beam will need to build 35 cm higher than planned - but all doable without a problem (we are told).
