Bro, nice flight! I’ve been looking at that frame. My motor has low hours and I was thinking of swapping it to a different frame. This might be a good one from what you show and a few others. 👍 keep up the good work buddy!!
Thanks for showing us that machine. I do like the Powerseat comfort. That frame looks so close to the ground when you come in, does it clip your lower legs at all? I don't think I have seen any of these designs in the UK. As Anthony said, sweet edits.
Yes this is cheap copy of the Flat Top that is designed as "actual" protection from the prop and to absorb impacts from the ground transferring energy through the cage structure, has saved bunch of people to date.
Great video Tom. I have a Maverick, but that Skytap is growing on me. The one thing I didn't like about my BlackHawk Travel cage was the hang points. It was a high hang point harness, which made it kinda hard to launch. This one (the skytap) is a low hang point harness, right?
I was diggin the weight shift effect. How much of that is due to the the glider characteristics? What is the rating of the wing you were using? Nice video, as always. 👍
Could the ease and range of weight shifting on this have any downsides? Centrifcal force sending you to one side make a spin problem worse if in an spin for example? Newbie here.
So, what did you think about the comfort bar geometry? You think it would be feasible to fabricate gooseneck type j-bars that could fit into the comfort bar roots & velcro in? I noticed you weren't doing many maneuvers...
Maybe... They were fine honestly. There's a cut out for your arms at the back of the bars. And yeah, I had that riser twisted so I was just taking er easy.
I actually did it this flight! Wasn't hard at all. We moved the pull start location from behind the seat to over the shoulder though. SkyTap offers that mod as well. 🤙
@@Tommyflies Thanks for the feedback Tom. I am considering the Angel for my first PPG. I have never seen one in the wild here in the Washington NW area so I am depending on reviews that have been far and few except for David's who has been a great friend to me long distance. Shelling out 8 to 10 grand for something I have never even touched and on a fixed income is a little uneasy for me. Your water rescue video was also enlightening. Also, Andrews last cage drag/crash video was crazy good.
@@Tommyflies Tom, OK you have a brand new Angel and a band new Parajet Maverick in front of you. Which one would you pick to own? My first motor decision. PS thanks for setting off my Goggle Home 6 times from your last lost phone video. :> )
Actually, Dell Schanze, the owner and designer of the Flat top paramotor trained Andy Fuller in 2012, he is the owner of Skytap, aka round top... and he totally used Dells design, but made it worse somehow.
When I first saw the Angel I was happy as heck. Finally, I could get a paramotor rig that I like, and at the same time not have to support a sociopathic narcissist. Win win for SkyTap.
I have a 2005 WalkerJet frame that looks just like this as well, the original Walker Jet frame is where Dell stoke, I mean got his flattop design from...lol, great video Tom
One of SkyTap's own videos clearly states they took what they thought were the best parts of the Flattop, so it seems clear the Flattop (for better or worse) was there before the Angel.
If your going to do a review at least be honest. The guy that designed this paramotor admits he originally flew Fat top paramotors for 5 years before designing the SkyTap Angel, not the other way around. He may have made some changes but the crumple zone, the quick release harness and the seat frame was taken from the Flat Top. All he did was to make a round frame and add some manufactured parts that you can buy and put on any paramotor, i.e. the Dudek power seat and the anti torque Lamells. SMH
Not quite a “rip off”, Rather “inspired by”. I believe the angel is the superior paramotor but that doesn’t mean the flattop is suddenly no longer great. The flattop is a Mercedes, the angel a BMW. All the others are merely Fords or Chevy, or even Hyundai.
Just purchased the entire package from Dell. Training starts in September. Yeah, I saw the videos where Dell is training Andy. Andy looked so grateful as Dell praised his abilities. Dell made Andy everything he is. That’s why I think it’s funny that you lied about Andy’s Paramotor being first. Glad I’m smarter than you clowns.
Tom Kubat You lied Dude. Your credibility is in serious question. It’s OK. But as you can see, people lie when it comes to providing for themselves. It’s just that you aren’t selling anything. Just a straight up, for no reason lie. Keep making videos. They are enjoyable. And I’m jealous of your hair. Can’t stand buns though. Guess it’s my age.
Yeah it can definitely happen, especially if you're shorter. You need to lean a bit forward when launching it, which is different than a lot of other motors.
I have watched this video at least 6 times over the last year! Can't get enough of this paramotor!
SkyTap Angel all the way. I’m so glad you did a video about this awesome Paramotor frame. I hope to have one soon!
Getting saucy with those edits dude!!! 😁
Looks comfy in the air but big on the ground.... Thanks for the review.
Nice review, love the edit. Great job Tom.
Aye Tom this is my paramotor now!!! Got it from Andy and love it man 🤘🏼
Thanks for the review. Very informative. Great video
Most sports one ball, this sport both. Can't wait
Tom.........you like it so much..................................surprised you didn't buy one!
Looks like a sweet machine. Nice video!

I've really enjoy mine!
That weight shift did seem crazy! Nice

Great review Tom! Great video.
Next stop, search cage dragging a Paramotor! Thanks for the vid!
Pluma or Sky tap I'm going to own both at some point =D Andrew is the man!
Stay tuned 👀. ^^^this guy must know something^^^
Thanks for the review !
Nice review, Tom.

Jason Gut yes it’s a low hang point.
Uploading on my day again. Smh
You make videos?
Bwahahahahaha
Gotta lotta nerve
I was diggin the weight shift effect. How much of that is due to the the glider characteristics? What is the rating of the wing you were using? Nice video, as always. 👍
It's a hot glider but I've flown it on a few different frames.
Could the ease and range of weight shifting on this have any downsides? Centrifcal force sending you to one side make a spin problem worse if in an spin for example? Newbie here.
Lol, cool machine for long hair man. U just andrew fullered yourself👍👍
Hey, do you know when Mark Huneycutt is coming out with more videos?
I'll ask him 😔
So, what did you think about the comfort bar geometry? You think it would be feasible to fabricate gooseneck type j-bars that could fit into the comfort bar roots & velcro in? I noticed you weren't doing many maneuvers...

Like the things you put on there for the torque twist. Also I like how much room the frame has mines pretty tight. It’s a mini plane frame.
Tom, can you restart it easily in the air? I’ve heard it’s hard.
I actually did it this flight! Wasn't hard at all. We moved the pull start location from behind the seat to over the shoulder though. SkyTap offers that mod as well. 🤙

@@Kevin-oz9fw Personally, I'm choosing the Maverick. But it all depends on what you value.
❓❓❓ you got wheels on that???
Want to stay in touch with you and your great company. I have a mission. More on that later. :)
Wow. That new one is way better than the old tech flat top. After seeing the Angel, why would anyne want to fly a flat top?
🤷♂️
Lol, "And I am not Andrew Fuller" 😆😆 Do you get that a lot?
Yep. People constantly mistake us for one another...🙄
Yep, if you recognize me at a flyinn there’s a 59/50 chance it’s Tom
your hair is gorgeous. what conditioner do you use:P
The secret is to only wash it once a week 😉
I wonder if he know that it is an engine not a motor?

I honestly thought you two were the same person for a while.
You're not alone bud. Lol
When I first saw the Angel I was happy as heck. Finally, I could get a paramotor rig that I like, and at the same time not have to support a sociopathic narcissist. Win win for SkyTap.
Have you already bought a skytap?
Haha flattop parented their frame on this frame, i can’t tell if your just trying to grind dells gears or if that’s true haha.
😏

I had a Riser Twist last month !! D@&$ IT !!
Aaaaggghhhhh! FUCK! LMFAO!
Maybe call it the Fake Top instead?
Wierd seeing the Z-blade on here now. I see it all the time now since you sold it to Tristan.
If only you were flying a dominator too. 😂
I'd love to fly one actually. But I've flown the sky Cima PWR, which it think is very similar if not the same... I liked it btw....

He didn't do anything, he just sent his Flat Top to some random dude in China to clone
If you need a frame that strong (& heavy) you're probably doing it wrong.
@highflyinbean That's surprising.
Cage design completely ripped from the DELL SCHANZE'S FLAT TOP
Not quite a “rip off”, Rather “inspired by”. I believe the angel is the superior paramotor but that doesn’t mean the flattop is suddenly no longer great. The flattop is a Mercedes, the angel a BMW. All the others are merely Fords or Chevy, or even Hyundai.

Omg The Roundtop I freaking love it the 1 dislike must be Dell 😂👊👍
You didn't even know it's a copy of a Flat Top and u launch with a riser twist 🤦♂️

Yep, was just joking bud. Most people know the Flat Top came first (SkyTap acknowledges this). Just trying to get a rise out of people ✌️
Tom Kubat Groovy. Why do we like this sport? UN-regulated. Yeee haw!
Tom Kubat Well, when I show up to a fly in with my FlatTop, I just hope I can meet some of you guys.
I guess Dell was here to give you a thumbs down. Didn't you feel like your ankles were going to hit the frame on takeoff and landing?
Yeah it can definitely happen, especially if you're shorter. You need to lean a bit forward when launching it, which is different than a lot of other motors.
