Great video! I just got boîte chapeau Souple in Empreinte leather, I love it. BTW, I believe the vachetta on boîte chapeau Souple has already been treated so it won't get ruined. I think it's a plus for this bag

I still love my LV reverse monogram*preluxz* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
Love your video. I recently got the boite chapeau but would you say it patinas just like the regular vachetta or would it remain clear/clean? I was thinking dark leather trim/patina wouldn’t look too appealing over time on this model 🤦🏽♀️
I feel like the SUPER dark patina doesn't look that appealing on any model haha In my experience with my boîte chapeau I've only had it for almost a full year and the color is still not even that honey golden. It's around the same shade as my alma bb that I've had for over 3 years now! But then again I don't wear any of my bags every single day straight!

Dye it black, i got my new alma monogram but I was so scared of water damage I dyed the vachetta all black with leather dye so now I can bring it out when it rains

How do you take care of the untreated leather on your bag? Do you spray it or leave it as it is? I love the look of monogram but i dont want to ruin the vachetta leather :(
I’ve actually never sprayed my bags with anything. I’ve heard and seen so many people use baby wipes or apple guard. But all my bags have a natural patina. But after the incident with my Alma bb I’m SUPER carefully when I handle the fresh vachetta. I make sure my lotion sinks into my hands for a solid 7-10 min before handling. It’s a little time consuming but after it patinas properly then it becomes a lot less fuss. (Sorry for the long reply lol just wanted to be thorough with my answer 💕)

The alma bb monogram is Kendall Jenner's favorite bag. She wears it all the time. It's such a beautiful bag, I think it looks better than the dammier version.

You can go check out Luxmommy. She shows how she cleans vachetta leather with water baby wipes. The video is called "How I clean my LV canvas bags". Her bags are all in pristine condition, and she doesn't do anything really on them. But she explained how she lift water spots that were not too intense.

You can get a free lock replacement from Louis Vuitton for your Alma. I recently got a new one since my old tarnished without ever using it.

The Alma bb is so pretty but gosh I hate how the strap is so long and I won’t be able to wear it on my shoulder!!! :( especially I’m petite
I agree the length of the strap is really long, but the top handles are a really good size and super comfortable and I normally hate using top handle bags!

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅

No offense, but if you're going to say the names of items, it's worth the effort to take a couple minutes to find out how to correctly pronounce the names (ie: souple (pronounced "soo-play"); victorine (pronounced "vic-tor-een"); and samorga (pronounced "suh-mor-gah"))
I fully agree. Americans don’t give a shit about the bags they’re dropping thousands on. Is it that hard to respect the French speaking viewers and learn the pronunciation..
Souple means soft and is definitely not pronounced how you think it is. Not even close. Maybe you’re confusing it with soufflé?

@@AP-qr5vy a quick listen of the word in Google Translate gives the perfect pronunciation of Souple (pronounced more like SOO-pluh). In my earlier post, I was trying to "make it easier" to pronounce the word so that hopefully the original poster could remember it better
