Bizen is a tradition, and Donatuki is a sword smithing lineage coming originally from the Yamashiro tradition. There's a common misconception that a Dotanuki is a specific type/profile, but they made a lot of different ones.
I wouldn't deal with Ronin Katana again; worst wrapping I've ever gotten on a prod kat, but man, the blade is a tank. Ryansword never gave me any issues. I got the sword built exactly the way I wanted it, and they sent photos throughout the process. I think there biggest "controversy" has been in their marketing and certain representatives that couldn't meet their obligations to the company and/or was disseminating misinformation.
