Hi, my pleasure! I’m glad this video was helpful. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. Feel free to comment suggestions for future videos as well! Thank you for watching and supporting!
Thanks - I'm using Claret + 4 pre - this similar tutorial really helped me Sus the whole latency situation. I'll be popping back here I'm sure for further help!
Thumbs up to you for this video. My buffer size is set to 256 in Pro Tools 12 and when i sing into the microphone i hear my voice right away .. does this mean my buffer size is good to go? Thank you.
Thank you Sean, I’m glad this video was helpful to you! Yes, if you don’t hear a delay and your computer doesn’t stop and give you a warning size while you’re recording, you’re good to go 👍🏻🟢!
Thanks for the Video! But what if instead of muting my channel in the daw, how can i mute the signal coming from the focusright? I perfer this way if possible so i can still hear my plug ins on the channel while im recording. Can you help ?
Nice interface, I’ve been wanting a Scarlett Solo for a bit now lol. For what you’re requesting, you would not use the direct input button on the interface. You would unmute your channel in the DAW and listen to the playback only to listen to the fully processed vocal. It’s possible for sure. Your latency will also be affected by the amount of plugins you use. Test a few buffer sizes and see how much your computer can take.
Yeah, that works to take the latency out of the headset but when you record the latency is in the recorded track. The vocals are recorded late behind the beat.
Please help me ‼️ I’m having pops on my studio speakers and headphones but not just on my sessions while trying to record, (I can’t even record) because it pauses by itself, I think because of the cracking sounds, but even when i’m not on pro tools, when i’m just playing anything on my laptop a beat, song etc it pops! Btw I’m using a new interface i just brought today (Presonus audiobox 96) i had an issue with latency and the phantom button on my old interface (Presonus audiobox usb) but never had this type of problem that i have now with the new one! My settings are all the same as before, I’ve tried changing settings and everything but it keeps making those weird sound when i play anything! This doesn’t happen with my old interface just with the new one, I don’t know what to do because I don’t think it’s the interface, maybe settings or something on my laptop but I already tried changing everything, buffer size, etc… and nothing! And when I’m trying to record after 5sec the audio is gone!! I even got this message on pro tools session. “Audio processing could not complete due to conflicts with other CPU tasks or a potential clocking issue. If this occurs often, verify your sync cables or try changing the HW Buffer Size setting in the Playback Engine dialog. In most cases, a larger HW buffer size will prevent the problem. (AAE -9093)
Hi Woke Pusha. I'm sorry that you're having those technical difficulties. Let's resolve the issue. It could very well be the new interface. Try using a different USB cable on your new interface or even the cable that your old interface uses. Secondly, test the interface on another computer and see if the problem persists. If the problems persist for both, you should exchange your new interface. You'd expect your new interface to not be the issue because its new, but new products can be faulty. I just bought a microphone that didn't work and had to exchange it for a new one. This isn't uncommon. Also, explore your options in other brands such as Focusrite or Universal Audio. Both deliver quality audio for reasonable prices. I hope this helps.
@@DezaviProductions thank you so much for the response! I didn’t tried using the old usb cable but I don’t think it was that because my old interface worked with the new cable as well, I didn’t tried the new interface in other computer, i just got back from getting a new interface (Focusrite scarlett Solo 3generation) let’s see if this works!!
Thank you! I used to rap but haven’t done so in quite a long time lol. Maybe I’ll get back into it, we’ll see haha. Thank you for watching and supporting!
Thank you i was having the latency problem.

I'm one of those "quick fix" guys; I knew about this, but had the rules reversed. Thanks.
