I am not a painter either Stephanie. But I did like the color choice. We had company this past week and he was complimenting the painting in the dining room. He was wanting to hire our painter. My husband laughed so hard. He said good luck, she's not the easiest person to convince. She is pretty quick though, 2 days as long as you leave her alone and give her music. My kids piped up with she isn't friendly when she paints. That poor guy asked if we were going to give him the contact info, my 3 busted out laughing again. I finally let him know they were talking about me. But I wasn't for hire. Brandon you were doing great fixing the drywall issues. The tiny house is coming along great. I couldn't imagine living in a camper with 5 other humans no matter how much I loved them. I give you all credit. Hopefully someone soon they will start back in your forever home. God bless
TIP::::: When your done painting put your roller and paint brushes in a plastic bag and keep in the fridge. You don't even have to rinse them out. They will be ready for you the next time you start painting again.
Keep the bag tight so air is pressed out. I'm painting right now and can only do a wall at a time bc of shattered ankle and I'll be ready to go in the morning. Itales it souch easier.😊😊
I’ve wrapped mine in glad wrap and done the same thing it makes it so much easier when you can’t finish in one go. Plus it’s less waste of paint as you do lose a lot if you are cleaning rollers out to reuse them.

Love that you're never afraid to try something and learn as you go. We always added just a pinch of water to the mud to help make it spread and sand easier. We learned as we went too. You did great Brandon and Steph. At least you had videos to watch and learn from. We didn't have that back "in the day"😂 Dad showed us.❤ Sometimes you are better off doing things yourself. You care more about your home than some random stangers. Man do I have stories when it comes to building and working on our homes.😆I couldn't imagine so many in a camper for so long. My goodness, the inside of the home is unrecognizable, what a great job. I love painting, and love Glidden paint products. Have a suggestion, put your damp, used paint roller in an empty plastic grocery bag and press the bag around it..this will keep the roller from drying out and save you from having to replace them so often. If I was you I'd put two sets of bunk beds in Leigthons room for the kids ,and a full size bed in the other area ,tv, couch and cook in the trailer ,it would be a lot warmer then sleeping in the trailer. Just a thought hope y'all have a lite winter ❤🤗🙏from🇨🇱
I ordered blankets from Temu when you put up a video showing them awhile back. I got them for my 2 sons & I monogrammed their names on them. They were beautiful & my sons loved them! Then i ordered another one for my daughter-in-law.. she also loved the blanket. They were so nice & great quality.!
A few tips- keep a bucket of clean water to keep your mixing paddle clean, you dont want any small chunks of mud in your paint or your gun when texturing. Otherwise you did great there. I would have used "PVA" primer for the new sheetrock then straight to the finish paint. The tinted primer works fine but PVA works best for "raw" sheetrock.

At Doss Farms, they use Guard Donkeys which really helps them from Animal Preditors. Fowler farms also hangs a cd cassett it hangs down on the side of the pen, they have not have a problem with birds from the air.
I think the color will be just fine. Don't beat yourself up, you're not living in it and only going to work in there. So I am guessing most of the walls will not even be seen.
You can freeze your paint roller in a plastic bag, take it out of the freezer and let it thaw out and continue painting! Same thing with your paint brushes. You only have to clean up the roller and brushes when your finished and not waste all that paint!! My friend paints a lot of stuff and he told me about that secret many years ago!!! You should of did a knock down texture on your walls an ceiling an the finisher should of prfiled that bad part in the celiybefore tape but its a easy fix just gonna take a few coats to fix

If you can see it or feel it in the drywall finish work when you paint it the paint will not cover up bad areas after you paint it will show all the bad sports that are not flat and smooth at all the seems and screws and before you paint it you have to prime it all first with primer only on you can still fix bad spots after you fix the bad spots then prime that area then you can paint it good luck

Doing a small space like that in a darkish color will make it feel smaller.u should have gone with white...i did that in my house that was painted a sandy tan color .im glad cus it feels a bit bigger...u can always repaint if u start feeling like i did.add color with trim parts..and use a washable finish to last longer..just an opinion
I love the texture you put on the walls. The smell of paint really gets to me. I put a little vanilla extract in the paint and it takes the smell completely out of it. It does no effect the color of the paint
Don't know if you are going to do more dry wall work but add some water to your mud what you got out of the box is too thick. Sanding the texture is normal for what they call knock down it can be done with a trowel but sanding gives similar look. When using the texture gun use a random pattern some right left some circle. what you have done looks really good. When painting cut in the corners first then it will blend in and not show the brush strokes.
I've been paying almost 20 years they do make Paint & primer into one choose your color and get it Paint & primer in one then put two coats on it save time and money you don't have to go with by primer separately just get Paint & primer in the one with the color you want because when you buy primer separately it's White so when you put it on your walls whatever color you going to put over that the primer you going to have to put two coats over that so instead of putting one coat of primer and two coats of finish just get your Paint & primer in one with the color you're going and just put two finished coats on the walls and if you'll paint seems too thick put a little bit of water if it's latex paint when you put a little bit of water in it Smooths it out and stretches longer and it's easy to work with and they do make little samples that you can get in the color you want and go back and put a little brush in it and put it on the wall and see how you like it before you go and buy a whole gallon of paint and if the paints mix where you can't take it back some light colors tend to dry lighter had some darker colors tan to dry darker and you got to keep in mind how many coats is going to take to put on my wall so with the color you got on there if you decide to put two of their it's going to be darker so anytime you Peyton you got to keep in mind how many coats is going to take to cover this fall depends on what color you want the wall today what's already on the wall that you're trying to cover but I love your videos good job on the tiny house

If you mix your paint with the mud and roll with a thick roller makes a tuxtured wall in one swipe. Looks very good that way. You should try it .

The flashiness actually scares them away and the movement it mand with the breezes, and so does using things with eyes, like owls.
