Um so my 3D printer is even. I even it multiple time but at some spot it not even how do I fix it?
Just got into 3d printing and this has got to be the best video I've come across that explained my problem the best.
This is so helpful! Thank you for being so in depth, and showing so many side by sides and examples! Subscribed immediately 🙏🏼
Very good clear information for a first time printer. Just like the printing, the learning curve is step by step as well.
Definitely giving these a try! Had major peeling on left side coincidentally somewhat close to a window and it's 20 degrees outside..tried raising bed from 50c to 70c and the print turned out significantly better, but still warped. Going to make an enclosure to block the window and also slow the initial layer speed down. Thankyou for the great information.
Thank you so much for this information!! Just bought an Ender 3 S1Pro and was very frustrated by the filament going all over the place... After watching your video, your instructions made everything work!! Thank You!
I was so frustrated with my PEI bed for the K1 max, turns out Creality's slicer had the fan on for the first layer and the temp was too low. Those tweaked and now it's sticking beautifully. Thanks so much!
I appreciate the tips after cleaning the bed upping bed temp lowering the Z offset and slowing the first layer to 50% I was able to get the first layers to stick thank you 🙏
Fantastic advice, just got my first 3d printer today. The first few pre-loaded prints worked but it started warping and not adhering. Gave the print bed a good cleaning, leveled it, and changed some settings (increased bed temp first layer and slower printing first layer) and now I'm back up and running!
We slowed the first 2 layers to 25% and that did the trick for us.
Great instructional! Loved how quick and to the point you were, love the lists after each section to re-enforce every point made. Love your accent!
Thank you so much for such a helpful video ❤
The best video I have seen so far regarding first layer printing. So well explained and very useful footage to explain each issue. Thank you!
thank you so much! I was having issues that drying filament, cleaning bed, etc wouldn't resolve in an easy-to-use printer. Reducing the z-offset was MAGIC!!!!!!! thanks!!!!
You are my 3d-print hero! Packed with information, solutions, and in-depth knowledge. Also your website is very helpful (Greetings from Austria) ...
That was awesome! Great video n very clear & cut to the point ! 👍🥂
Thank you very much! I was getting failed prints because of bad first layers but after making the first layer smaller it worked way better!
Really clear and helpful, you got my first print on the road!
best printing info i have found yet
you are a life-safer... I was fighting so hard with a certain brand of filament. But with these tips, I got it to work... happy!
I appreciate the wide variety of tips!
this video has helped me so much that i was ready to sell my printer but i found this and haven't had a problem since. no other video explained that i had to slow down the initial print speed and just told me to relevel the bed so this was a god send.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for putting this together!
This video was extremely helpful, well done
This worked SO much better then I was expecting, no fails this time :D
I've been 3D printing for several years with varying success. I have an Ender 3-Pro that I have upgraded heavily through the years (usually causing most of my own problems, at that) - all buck-converted Noctua fans, 4.2.7 board upgrade, CR Touch... It's been really fun. But recently my build plate stopped heating (or sensing temp) properly and would fail, so I shut it off entirely. I've been facing new issues with adhesion that I normally didn't deal with. The bottom line is, even as someone with a moderate amount of knowledge and experience with printing - I very much appreciated your clearly communicated, marked, and succinctly-spoken approach. Very great video for users of all expertise! Dankeschön, mein herr.
Was having trouble and watched a few different vids. Yours was the last one bc you explained what to do perfectly! Thank you:)
Díky za užitečné informace 😊👍👍👍👍👍
Great video, pumped up the temperature, leveled the bed, slowed the print, put tape on bed and now will see how it works..
well?
Can you help me with my problem i have the same problem where can i solve and how to set temp
This was the most helpful video for beginners I've found! Thanks!
Much appreciated my friend they all work perfectly
I use Elmer's purple glue stick and it works great. Never had a fail after starting to use it. Best part is that it's 6 bucks for a pack full of them and lasts months.
I know works wonderfully
Thank you so much for this video. It's saved me hours trying to fix my Neptune 3 Max adhesion problems.
Job well done this helped me out a lot. Thank you friend!
Great tips thanks!
Thank you this helped out so much!
Thanks a lot, the water and sugar solution worked like magic
IT WORKED UR THE MAN FIRST 3D PRINT DONE!!!!
Helpful and cheep. Thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you for the informative tips.
Very helpful was able to finally get a new filament to adhere properly!
Thank you very much will try this later
Thanks man! Great tips😁
Thanks, this is so helpful!
well done video, great job, and great advice!!
Helpful! Thanks! Already getting better results! I'm a pro now 😉
I have am ender 3 pro and just slowed the speed down on the first layer. Now it's running great! Thanks for the tips
Well done mate, speed is key!!!!
Thanks for these Tips. I am a noob at all of this 3D printing and UA-cam University is my go to for just about everything. Your tips here resolved my issues!
Thanks!
I have only switched to FDM coming from Resin printing about 3 days ago, Neptune 3 Pro, but I was having bed adhesive issues, not all the time, sometimes, slowing down initial layer speed and zero cooling seems to have fixed that, so ty, sir!
I'm so glad I found this video. I've been having problems with my new Ender 3 V2 (my first printer), and I wanted to solve the adhesion problem without using glue or hairspray. I don't know why I have a bug up my ass to avoid these things, but I do. But your talking through all the variables that can be modified helped my understand Cura better, and I'm happy to report good bed adhesion for a couple of prints now without needing the hairspray. I loved that you showed video samples of the differences and explained how each change improved adhesion. THANKS!
I’m with ya on the not wanting to use glue or hairspray. The way I see it, those are bandaid fixes and I want to figure out how to make do without them!
Awesome video. Loved the sid-by-sid3 visuals. Please keep these videos coming. I am your newest subscriber!
Thank you sooooo much for this information this fixed my problem
worked perfectly thanks
Thanx man, very very complete video, greatings from argentina! 😊
I reduced the print speed to 5 mm per second as suggested along with wider and taller initial layer lines and it works great (I previously tried mouse ears prior to watching this video and it didn't work, the whole ear will get pulled off because of the speed). I no longer have to print a raft, which will save me on filament (print time maybe slightly faster than with a raft but not by much). Still need to figure out curling issue, but thank you for solving this issue that have been bothering me for a while.
what helped me with curling was creating a simple enclosure out of foam core boards to surround my printer. this created a thermal buffer to protect my print from sudden changes in temperature, for example from the air conditioner turning on and off nearby. that, and slightly increasing bed temperature. the main cause of curling is the print cooling unevenly, so it helps to prevent that however you can!
thank you this video help me fix my problem almost instantly
Thank you so much!
Thank You, reduced speed on initial layers and used magig adhesive to solve problem. New to this and was quite worried when it would not stick. Ender 3 V3 SE.
Thank you my issue was fixed by scraping, cleaning, and leveling.
thank you worked great :)
This worked wonders, especially the tip of having the fan at 0% for the first layer, thanks!
thank you so much for this :)
Thank you that help I lot
I have a Ender 3 2v Neo and have tried all your recommendations. I have the flex steel bed and it worked perfectly for the first 24 hours of printing. Now I can't get anything to stick to the plate. Thanks for all the great ideas and things to try.
Same for me with the Ender 3 S1, no matter what i try, i get no adhesion.
s1 user as well everything is ok for like 3 percent then everything just falls apart
Man, i have the same problem whit ender 3 v2 neo.
i print some things, and now i can't make anything, i'm so frustrated, can You solve this problem?
I'm with you guys. I think most of my problems stem from my model ender not having an auto level bed and me struggling to keep everything aligned when manually leveling it.
I just got the ender 3 the test print worked fine I can’t get anything to stick now
Thank you so much! This has become a problem for my printer and now I have a way to fix it
This helped out so much, I could not find anything that worked for a while
Thank you!
That video is just perfekt, Thank you very much 👍
this has very helpful
Danke! Thank you!
Thanks sir good information
I can't say how much of a difference and relief of a headache it is to have you z offset and leveling done properly. I took a shortcut because I didn't have a sheet of paper nearby, it was okay on the first 3 prints but eventually that gap grew larger without me noticing and then I completely ruined a hotend because it jammed up in the fan and nozzle to the point it burnt the wires and ripped them out when I was trying to clean it. I got a whole new piece and it printed 1 object with a few spots not being great and the adhesion to the bed was horrible, then another piece and sure enough it backed up into the nozzle again but i caught it early enough to clean it off. After completely resetting all the settings I noticed the z offset was way too high, so I followed the instructions and used a piece of paper this time and wow it was 1.9mm off. Starting to print the object again and it is completely printing like it should be. Emphasis needs to be put on this step being done exactly as described with paper and all.
Thanks
i love this guys voice it makes me wanna learn
thank you
excellent video
Thank you
My ender 3 s1 had a great first print, but nothing would stick after that. I used all of your tips and the print finally stuck! Thank you so much!
Thanks! I was having issues with getting the first layer to stick. Longer strokes of fillament in a continuous motion worked fine, but shorter and qicker motions... oh boy... the 5mm/s on the first layers did the tirck. Cura was configured to do this on the first 2 layers. Not sure if this is an old setting from when I found this profile as a starting point a few years ago but I thought that it would help before it'd become an issue. Start of the print looks mighty clean so I have high hopes it 'll work this time.
Thank you for all the information. My problem was the speed.
Just got a Sovol SV07. Tried everything, lowering speeds, reducing extrusion, changing the z-offset
Nothing helped until I watched your video.
Turns out the Slicer software set a bed temperature of 50°C and a extruder one of 190°C
Yeah guess what, your video shows 60°C for the bed and the PLA Filament I'm using is labeled with 195°C - 210°C
After changing the Temperature in the Slicer it works absolutely bloody perfectly
And I thought I had to put glue on my plate...
Thank you so much!
What settings do you use
Really nice I have problem with my sapphire Pro maybe this solutions my problems
Never heard about using salt solution, looks cool while the bed is heating :)
The initial layer speed was the problem for me- thank you so much
I just find it baffling that most slicer programs have it set so high- I wasted countless hours cleaning and cold-pulling over and over again just for it to be a slicer problem. Makes me wonder how many people gave up on printing just because of this setting. I know I was very close to.
Ty bro
Excellent
Bravo!
Why is this guy not popular
Im not even home yet and just started to watch this video, and I just realized it was the start speed of the print, fuck. I gave up on this shitty printer but now I've got to try
just tried slowing my first layer to 5mm/sec and did not start cooling until 2mm - a simple skirt works like a champ. no more rafts for meeeeee
I have a glas plate and on it kapton tape. That surface slightly ruffed up, cleaned with alcohol and I use a normal piece of paper to level the bed to the nossle
works in 99% also on ABS prints
Thx i was looking for the shity first layer... 2:20 this helped me alot !! initial layer speed
I was printing using creality cloud instead of prusa slicer and it wasn't sticking very well until I lowered the speed thank you
i use spray hair gel, works well with no issues
spoiler: Dehydrate your filament.
I had an Ultrabase that had lost all adhesion after 3 years of frequent use.
Sandpaper, solvents, first layer slow...nothing worked and was resigned to printing on blue-tape!
Then used a food-dehydrator on all my filament..6 hours at 55c for PETG, 10 hours at 45c for PLA.
Now I'm back to the other adhesion problem...getting the model off the glass without breaking!
Most the filament I got came with the printer, so it's 'aged'.
There was a roll of glow-in-the-dark PLA that crumbled into bits when I dried it! [Hatchbox]
I'm getting all new filament soon...
I have this bed plate at the end you’re talking about but still have adhesion problems, unless I make a raft first
I like this channel
I have had to increase my PLA temp to 215 and bed to 65 and seems to work well also
I'm printing at room temp 20c or 77f. I have no problem getting prints to stick. I'm using craft spray glue. Nice thick coat.
Gr8 video. Im a total beginner to this 3d print world. I've a used neptune 2 , and so far all my prints have just been a load of spaghetti . Could one of the reasons be that its not sticking to the bed , or is it possibly something else entirely?
