Alan Young and June Foray are both in their 90s and they still came back for this game. Respect.

Was amazing how they actually got all of the voice actors from the show to come back to do the voices again.

Graphics are so good, it almost looks like an interactive cartoon more than an actual game.

June Foray isn't far behind him and and still doing Magica de Spell. We already lost Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. this past year. I'm going to enjoy them while they're still here.

Total props to Alan Young for reprising this role. He did Scrooge McDuck's voice at the ripe old age of 94, and for me it is nostalgic given my childhood included watching Duck Tales.
When the final boss turned gigantic, that was a legitimate moment of fear i experienced...

Does anyone else find it funny how Magica De Spell keeps summoning platforms for Scrooge when trying to burn him?
She bought the beam spell from a discount store. Of course they'd have defects like that. Not exactly Magica's choice there.
Glad they made this game when they did because in the years since we lost 4 of the original cast - Alan Young (Scrooge), June Foray (Magicka), Russi Taylor (Huey, Dewey, Louie) and Chuck McCann (Duckworth, Burger Beagle). They did a great job!

They actually did a great job on this. One would almost forget that this is 2-D.
7:18 "you won't beat me" proceeds to throw rocks on opposite side of room as the player

I love how all the bosses (Except the intro boss) are reminiscent to their original variants. The statue only jumped around in the original version, Magica only turned into a bird and ocassionaly shot lightning bolts, and so on.

The last boss is a Vampire Duck?! And Magica!? AND A MASSIVE VAMPIRE DUCK!? And a fire ball breathing duck dragon!? CRA-HE-HE-ZYY!!!

Never played or even seen this game before, and Magica immediately comes off as a difficulty spike.
...And looks super-fun to fight, especially in comparison to the first two bosses.

It is on the wii U I got it for my 16th birthday, word of advice search for the hidden extra hearts to increase your health there is one in each level. When I was up against the final boss I only had 4 hearts ( or was it 3?) either way I lost so many times that I some how glitched the game ( nothing game breaking just bad audio).

Watching all the bosses in the NES version, followed up immediately by this video, makes each battle look like a rematch against each boss where they REALLY beefed up their game!
Why aren't they remaking DuckTales 2, Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck (especially this one :D ) is beyond me...

Scrooge looks like he's is having too good of a time for everything happening around him.
You're insane! Also, the 8-bit music mode has no recreation of the Dracula duck boss fight.

My dad finished the entire old ducktale. He wasn't able to play this though. He died in 2012.

Of you can, get this game, not only is it challenging(There are three difficulty settings), but the voice acting is from the original cast, and the fact Alan young in his 90's has still got that magic voice, is well worth playing. It's a little pricey $9.99 on most app stores, FREE on Amazon underground .

The bosses have certain charm about them, but they are kinda repetitive after while
Did you play the original game? Probably not. The bosses back then were far more repetitive and easier to kill. This is a remake of the old game, and that includes remastered bosses too.

It's honestly amazing that WayForward was able to get back all the surviving voice actors for this game - particularly Alan Young and June Foray, who were 93 and 95 respectively, and they admittedly both sound their ages here. We lost Alan last year, aged 96, replaced as Scrooge by David Tennant. June is still around for now; she turns 100(!) in September.
Sadly, even if she was willing (or was even asked) to do it, I doubt she's physically capable of reprising Magica in this year's reboot. Finding a worthy substitute for Scrooge was one thing, but who on earth can fill the shoes of the greatest voice actor to have ever lived?
Just amazing this remastered version.... RIP alan....

Strange how a safe falling on his head just stuns Big Time Beagle but an old man bouncing off of his head hurts him more.
It would have been better if Scrooge said "On second thought,get us out of here,Launchpad" because it sounds funnier.

I've been playing this on my Kindle--and boy, is the maneuvering difficult. You'll be bouncing on the cane, and then you won't be able to move left or right. I'd like to think I'd have more success if I were using a real controller.
+KB Yea it took me a while before I got good, I don't think platform games work very well on touch phones where you have to use 2 combination buttons. And yes you can use a with your phone but i'm not carrying that around for adhoc journeys!

This game may well have the very definition of "time-waster bosses". I know they were trying to make things more interesting, but in the end, they just made these battles more tedious...
