On Vbands like this I usually set my machine at about 50-60amps and point the tungsten towards the thicker flange. On tube to tube I'd lower it to about 40amps and I always run my machine higher so I control the puddle by the look and wash out of it. I always back purge my stainless at 10cfh aswell. I make a easy one out of a gas lense by using a 1/16th lense and hammering a 3/32 tungsten in the center. Then you have a purge. Hope that makes sense

why not 100amps? Doesn't 60 amps cause too much heat to go into the part because it takes much longer to weld? @@latenitefab
