smh...some people are never satisfied. First everything was too dark, now it's too bright. 🙄
THIS! 🗣
I was about to say the same thing 🤷🏽♀️🥲
To me it was still too damn dark. Will it kills them to open more lights in the sea scenes 🤣
Right?!!
I know!!! Right!!
It really annoyed me when people complained about lion king not being animated enough
I mean come on it’s supposed to be live action based movie and last time I checked lions don’t many facial expressions and do more body language and sounds
The reason for the over saturation is because they received so much hate for the film looking “DARK” the underwater CGI did look more realistic with darker tones but everyone was crying it was too dark and they had to brighten things up
Actually some scenes are daytime and some scenes are night time and some are party scenes which is why they are brighter lit. Everything we saw that was "too dark" was night scenes
@@GopherCakeStuff false go rewatch the teasers and look at the full trailer the same scenes in the teasers are WAAAY brighter than they were in the teasers
@@malibuisrandom9555 that is true but literally the scenes shown in the first teaser take place at night😭 same with some in the second and in this one
@@eternalbliss330 her sisters swimming was during the day In teaser.. was brighter in trailer .. same with Ariel on the jellyfish and blowfish is brighter in the trailer than the teaser
Seems like all of the reactors have become experts in storytelling and CGI.
I saw several reactions today where they complained about the "fake" Giraffe on Last of Us which happened to be a real Giraffe
Right so fawking funny
ppl just want to find something to complain about bc they have no idea what they are talking about lol
They don’t realize that throws off viewers, they are literally nitpicking everything to show off nothing!
Lmaaoo what
I mean, that is what they are...reactors
IT WAS DARKER BEFORE BUT A LOT OF PPL COMPLAINED SO THEY MADE IT A LITTLE BRIGHTER BUT ITS STILL DARK ENOUGH PPL WILL ALWAYS COMPLAIN😂
I think the underwater sequences looked good in my opinion. Sebastian looks acceptable in my opinion because he looks both realistic and a little cartoony. Halle Bailey's Ariel looks extraordinary. Her tail with green and a little rainbow and the way her hair moves underwater is stunning. It looks a lot of fun I'm excited.
They designed this new Sebastian as a Ghost Crab, which is one the few species of crab that would actually drown underwater. You’d think that a studio that spends months making everything look realistic could have spent a bit more time picking a crab that could actually swim lol.
@@SLAYJENSEN It’s a fantasy movie. Not a National Geographic documentary.
@@SLAYJENSEN No one can sing or talk underwater either and I see you are not complaining about that.
First it’s too dark, now it’s too light??? You really can’t win. Omg 😂😂🙄
I really think as adults, if more of us could at least try to see this trailer/movie through a child’s eyes, we’d all be freaking out with excitement. The kids aren’t analyzing bit by bit. They’re excited for the characters, songs, and magic.
This is exactly why I’m excited to see the movie, with a child eye
Exactly, this is for kids , not Adults, Do these people really believe in Mermaids and talking fish , it's for kids people,
I’m always confused about the underwater lighting concerns. If anyone has seen the Great Barrier Reef, the clarity and vibrancy can be really unbelievable. If you’re used to swimming off the coast of North Carolina of course you’d be right, but there are some reefs that are stunning.
This trailer made me so happy ... and Halle's continuing to make me emotional with her killer vocals.
"He's a human, you're a mermaid!" Also, maaan is that scene gonna hit if its the same as the animated (when triton wrecks Ariel's Grove)
Should've been...you're black and he's white...wait I'm Hispanic...but I'm you're father...yeah right
@@nothx512 this is a movie about mermaids not some historical documentary.
@@nothx512 LMAO, what are you even TALKING about? They are mermaids and mermen who have differently colored tails, hair, eyes etc., and you draw the line at the idea that some might have darker SKIN tones than others, and that it might be possible for mixed genetics to produce mixed children who have darker skin than one of their parents???
My friends and I think the biggest change is going to be the ending. I bet it’s Ariel that ends up defeating Ursula not Eric.
I agree!
That would be cool! Or maybe they work together
That’s what they did in the stage show. It’d be really cool if they took some inspiration from that.
Early test screenings said that Ariel does finish her!
It’s perfect! It’s going to be award winning. It’s beyond mediocre! It’s better than all other Disney movies so far now.
Literally, it’s going to make history
Yasss its brilliant
I know that it's live action CGI but I am just going to enjoy it as is because it looks like they are trying their best to get the right footage so maybe just enjoy it as is.
In my opinion... the part with the most vibrant colors in the ocean is the coral bay so yes it can be bright and vibrant in colors but the bottom of the ocean is actually quite dark... In my opinion people will never be 100% satisfied with any adaptation since, if Disney makes cartoonish they complain if it makes realistic they complain. I believe that even this middle ground will not please.
A lot of this will take place on land ya'll. Also didn't people complain that Lion King wasn't cartoonish enough. Now ya'll want this to be realistic. What do ya'll want? Also people complained it was too dark now it is too bright. Why are people being extra harsh on this film. I feel like people want this to fail.
Thank you!
I’m actually glad you guys look into it and actually find the real reasons why it kinda feels off but it looks good because it’s never that bright underwater and it definitely looks better when she is in her little treasure cave it looked better because it was more dark and low light people find ways to complain and not like it at all but you guys actually get it and look into it and still give props
Beauty and the Beast’s Be Our Guest was severely dark and so is Aladdin’s Friend Like Me. They were far from the animated and yet were spectacular. I’m pretty sure Poor Unfortunate Souls and Kiss The Girl is going to be explosively colorful like the animation but with a different take.
I agree! Under The Sea will be like rainbow land too!
It feels like Ursula's look was always going to be tricky to get right. They could have really leaned in to the animated version and given Melissa a Divine-style look, but that might have been too comical. We really need to see a full body shot of her appearance.
There’s a new poster that was released with the trailer that shows her full look.
I have an interesting thought about how the underwater scenes look. Think of yourself as an underwater creature watching Ariel's story. You have "underwater" vision so you so you can see everything better & brighter. It looks gorgeous!!! Halle Bailey's Ariel & her vocals are about to lift her popularity into the stratosphere!!! I predict this will be the most successful live-action remake Disney has ever done!!!
One thing we have to remember.... this supposed to be for kids!!! If we made the underwater scenes as dark as it truely is, these kids will fall asleep lol. So having it bright will keep them engaged
I love this trailer. Halle Bailey is absolutely beautiful. Her voice is incredible!!! However some of the CGI in the underwear scenes don’t look good. I’m also still a bit nervous about how Melissa McCarthy will sound like when she sings Poor Unfortunate Souls.
Some of the deep sea environments are typically dark. The bioluminesence on Ursula would correctly demonstrate what some sea creatures look like. The drawing of the animated crab was exaggerated in the original film where , in the live action version, we are looking at a real crab and the physiology is correct. We need to look at this film differently. 😊
Say what you want about everyone else, but Javier Bardem as Trident looks like A BOSS!
This looks amazing Halle such great casting
My only thing is the hair color ( i dont expect clown red) and the scene when the wave hits the rock in the original is soooo iconic and here looks lauckluster
It's not about lighting, it's about quality itself. Remember Aquaman, it was bright too.
it looks good we cant pick at it because at first people were complaining it looked too dark so they lightened it up we cant have it all.
Love your channel guys
Unartistic people usually make all the bad comments. This is perfect. The designs of the animal characters are genius.
I'm not really into Disney princess movies, especially the live action remakes. But I gotta admit that Halle's voice really nails it. The movie itself doesn't really catch my interest, but I'll still give Halle credit for the voice.
" So help me Ariel, I'm going to get through to you and if this is the only way, SO BE IT"
Melissa looks bomb! Halle was always going to slay…but now I’m 100% in!!!! They look AMAZING!!!
so don't worry about this being shot for shot. If you were able to pick up the new book about this movie now you'll see they added a lot of lore. If you notice the moon is pink when ariel finds eric, they added something called the coral moon, so ever daughter of triton is given a territory and magical power on a coral moon. It also is implied that instead of three days ariel will have till the coral moon. So theres a lot of world building
Absolutely love the cast and trailer 😢😍🥹
The underwater scenes, where they are out on the open and it's bright, look like they are in front of a green screen backdrop. When in the cave or dark areas it looks better.
Can't Wait For Halle To Kill It As Ariel. Her Voice Gave Me Goosebumps! Plus The Trailer Almost Had Me In Tears.
I need to watch this on the biggest screen available, pls.
The ocean can be that clear depending what part of the world you are in. 🌊
Bringing the little mermaid to live action is still crazy I think this trailer does make me think they will do a shot for shot I hope they can add some new twist, like Dustin said once it's seen in full in theaters it should put it all in perspective the underwater scenes will make since later
Aww the wittle mermaid 😂jk. Tbh Everything looks beautiful. And her voice whew! I can't wait to enjoy this in the theater. ❤
I’m pretty certain that if Halle Bailey sang at full power she could shatter every glass window in Times Square.
Seriously the only other time I hear voices that powerful are in anime like Dragonball Z whenever characters power up!
They added more scenes hence why the the movie is 2+hrs
I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED FOR THIS THIS LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL you best believe this will be one of the BEST movies of 2023 SO HAPPY THE TRAILER IS FINALLY OUT AHHHHH MAY 26TH GET HERE ASAP
They’re not gonna totally win with this movie. They went with a darker theme initially and the complaints forced them to change it. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be at this point 🤷🏽♀️😂
First, it was too dark now it’s too “bright.” Can never please people. SMH.
You guys mentioned a Super Bowl trailer, I do not believe there was one. 🤷🏼♀️ They postponed it last minute do to Halle Bailey having trouble with her boyfriend on social media.
The trailer they were referring to was a 30 second teaser released a few days after the Super Bowl to mark 100 days until the movie is released.
This official trailer was supposed to drop during the Super Bowl but they switched it for a new Indiana Jones 5 trailer at the last minute. It would make more of a splash at the Oscars as the only trailer debuting during the ceremony, rather than competing against the other trailers that aired during the Super Bowl. It was nothing to do with Halle Bailey’s personal life.
I think this looks good, and looks like it should be all sorts of fun - just like the animated version it is based on. There is plenty of well-done spectacle and amazing music and sound. I'll go see it, and probably enjoy it greatly.
No matter how great the live action animation is, they will never be as great as the animated originals.
Scenes take parts in different times of the day underwater. Some are closer to the surface some areas will be brighter and some will be dark lmao
There has been a trend of trailer houses "brightening" footage for the teasers & trailers. Ive seen many instances where the actual film is much darker.
Ofc y’all got a problem with this😭😭😭😭
That hairstyle is working for ya bro. 👍🏻
I love it!!! Excited to see it.Not everything is perfect! It looks great It is a movie after all and in the cartoon under water it was bright and no one complained. Ariel is beautiful voice on point. ❤️🥰
I agree that the scene that looks to be the ‘Under The Sea’ sequence is quite bright, and I would be ok with it being darkened a bit. That said, sometimes when people go to the movies they seem to expect something different than what is being offered. I am glad that you pointed out that this is a DISNEY movie, and who their target audience is (fans of the original, and young people/ children!! People need to accept what comes with that. Don’t expect Academy Award level acting. Just go in looking to be entertained, and have a good time at the movies. You do that, you should enjoy it for what it is! Great reaction video though…..
Avatar had a 450 Million Dollar budget and had 6 to 12 years to do the Movie compared to the little Mermaid where they had a 150 Million budget and filmed and edited under 3 years plus the Avatar isn't on planet earth
It's going to be different you guys they added some new characters that could be human or creature, new song add written by Alan Menken and Lin-manuel Miranda and you get to see Ariel sisters more in the film. Rob Marshall also changed the bird Scotto to a female diving bird voiced by Awkwafina instead of a Seagull like in the original film. They want the character in underwater scenes to interact other sea creatures. People who already test screened this movie already praising and amazed by this movie.
FUN FACT: the director of the film was so amazed by Halle Bailey's phenomenal voice at the Grammys performing with her sister that he knew she would be perfect for the role of the iconic mermaid princess. Chlöe and Halle are a sister fuo who's big in the music industry and was discovered and managed by the queen herself Beyoncè. You can look at their UA-cam videos covering some songs and mainstream music videos.
The VFX isn’t all the way done yet and I don’t. Think the cgi isn’t done yet either I think it will be done at the end of this month Rob Marshall said
The jarring part of the underwater scene for me is that you can see that it’s supposed to be underwater with the CGI hair moving around, but everyone looks dry. There is no motion blur happening, which does happen underwater.
I think the main big reason why the underwater scene didn't hit the spot either its too dark nor too bright or maybe doesn't look like they are in the water is because, it takes a lot of tuning & filters like how editors did on Aquaman. Mistakes can be seen clearly from this trailer itself, cus why do they have the thoughts on making triton having eye balling out in tears while they're under water 😅 those small details need to be corrected & put on notice.
I'm no hate for the swap or anything related to it BUT you just got to admit that disney been milking this iconic titles with VERY POOR art directs & quality. The best I can say on disney remakes are the one from Jungle Book. The art directs & quality editing was warmingly good. even some will say the animals are lifeless but i dont see much problem from Jungle book then lion king itself, maybe because theres humans character in jungle book ig. Also I love how the designer did jungle book posters cus TLM one is quite weak on how they compose & edit it.
My point is, I was expecting picture perfect frm this one cus we r talking about an iconic title that gave Disney animations life back. But yea.. let's just see how the whole movie looks like once it come out, then we can bring it back to the table for a solid review.
Ursula is based on a drag queen, she is supposed to be over the top.
❤️I Loves Trailer Little Mermaid Live Movie is Beautiful & Fantastic & My Favorite Disney Trailer
Is beautiful trailer bought 100 ticket!
I have that shirt dustin was wearing
Halle nailed the singing. I think you'd have to be crazy not to agree. But I am concerned with her acting in this movie. So far, she hasn't come off as believable or passionate. But there is plenty of time and hope left! Some of the "magic" feels very Ghostbusters. It's a strange mix of CGI, animation, and bad visual effects. This is my favorite Disney movie, so I really want this to be a win. Fingers crossed!
This is gonna be awesome
First Encanto, now live action little mermaid
Night scenes/deep down in ocean dark. Can't satisfy everyone.
I was kinda waiting for this video...
Have y’all seen the tmnt mutant mayhem trailer?
That trailer is different then what was shown at the Oscars last night. 🤔 They did not show the scene with Sebastian, Scuttle with Ariel and her human legs. I have to admit that the trailer looks pretty striking! Her tail is beautiful! 🧜🏼♀️ The visuals, the music, the colors! Saw a sneak peek of McCarthy, excited for Ursula! The only thing I am still not sold about Halee Bailey as Ariel…🤔. She does not really have bright red hair like Ariel does in the animated. Who knows she might blow me away when I see it. 😐 😊
What replaced the scene with Sebastian, Scuttle, and Ariel at the Oscar’s?
@@Militant-Mane They just didn’t show it.
Good thing Scuttle looks good and can emote unlike any of the animals in The Lion King.
Too bad Sebastian (even though he can smile) and Flounder don’t look better.
They’re modelled after their creatures from reality…
I see reactions to Sebastian and I have to wonder why people take these type of movies this seriously. It’s Disney. I’ve always expected not to take it too seriously in regards to what I’m seeing with my eyes.
i still have a problem with her hair. Her voice, nails it i think. Melissa Mcarthy nails it as Ursula but i agree she needs to nail her when she sings. Sabastian and Scuddles idk. The thumb that comes out of the shell, huh i can see that LOL.
They originally tested it out early in production & it didn’t translate well on film. The natural ginger color she has fits WAY better.
I think the thing that’s throwing me off is scuffle sebastian n flowder u saw a glimpse of him but I’m so used to the animated version n it’s just no expression on them but hailey seems to be nailing ariel
She’s going to be a great Ariel
@@Barbara_Briar_Isabel well I guess u can say that about the animated one to lol

The only problem I see is that her hair should be more colorful

Tbh im tired or Disney capitalizing on nostalgia. I’m over it! I won’t be seeing this movie even though Ariel is my favorite princess and I love the original. Come up with something original!!!
I wish the PART OF YOUR WORLD REPRISE EPIC SPLASH.. WAS FRONT ON.. NOT TO THE SIDE>> AND THAT COULD BE SO MUCH MORE E P I C.. IT IS A MOMENT!!!!! I will see this HALLE does look beautiful
I don't like it. I luv it. 😄
Yay!
I done Disney remake
I will watch on mcu and dc James gunn
Best live action Disney movie is the lion King period . 😌😌😌
Nope Aladdin will never be defeated!
Cinderella
Aladdin & The Jungle Book were the best imo (also critically praised). The Little Mermaid looks like it’ll be up there.
There wasn't a live action lion king....
@@DinkLover69 In the context of it being a hyperrealistic remake with one frame actually being shot in Africa, it is considered “live-action.”
Or I’d say “pseudo live-action.”
This movie will not make anyone happy for sure.
Still feel too dark and Sebastian look creepy and weird
Y’all are never satisfied. It’s sad.
The cgi is cringe… looks worse then a strait to dvd movie… don’t do the movie if you can’t do it right so far they haven’t gotten it right… how does the cgi look worse then the lion kings cgi ?? Im confused
Even aqua man looked better then this. I’m excited for Ariel and Eric but the rest of it looks a complete mess.
This that threw me off.... apparently everyone is a CGI expert after Avatar 2 which took over 7 years making! It’s either too dark or too bright... as Long as the Main character is what she is y’all gonna keep looking for faults!! How about not pissing allover the numerous artists‘s work that have been working tirelessly for 2 years to deliver this trailer and still working on the film. If you’re stuck on the cartoon then don’t bother reviewing!
I love the part when Little Mermaid steals The Oscar and says: WOKEKANDA FOREVERRRR
Ariel don’t look right , love it when the bird says their something diff about you, you thinkkkk bad casting foe Ariel
Disney no longer cares about working on visual effects, although it still looks passable compared to how much the graphics have deteriorated in Marvel. But after Avatar 2, it's like everything starts to hurt the eye.
Why wouldn't Disney care about special effects? They know how critical people are nowadays.🙄
Avatar 2 was boring and repetitive lol Don't always need the best graphics to tell a good story. Cgi doesn't bother me if they are telling a good story. 😂
@@queenjohnson5097 This! 👏👏👏
@@queenjohnson5097 And a remake of an old cartoon is perhaps the best reason to be creative and show an interesting story🤣? Against the background of the new Little Mermaid, even "Avatar 2" will be the peak of drama.
From blockbusters or entertainment films, first of all, you want some kind of creativity and immersion in a different and unusual world. And remakes of old Disney cartoons lose the magic of the original (with the exception, perhaps, of the "Jungle Book"). I'm already tired of everyone in modern blockbusters spitting on the technical component, which greatly spoils the impression when viewing. After all, in expensive entertainment projects, this is one of the most important aspects so that the film pleases the eye with its visual component. Against the background of Disney cartoon adaptations, Avatar 2 is much more creative and interesting. From the point of view of history and drama, it is also more interesting than remakes of Disney cartoons.
Do you want to tell me about an interesting story? I don't remember the last time Marvel and Disney presented an interesting story or other blockbusters from other studios. Against the background of what has been coming out lately, Avatar 2 has become an outlet.
Cameron has been waiting for the appearance of advanced technologies for 13-14 years, thinking through concept art. He was preparing the cast for filming underwater, and the timing of the film was even set at 3 o'clock, which rarely happens with expensive films at this time.
Avatar 2 in 3D is just an explosion, the work done is incredible. The most real thing I've ever seen. Obviously, the team worked with him as closely as possible at all stages of production.
Otherwise, it is simply physically impossible to achieve such an effect.
Almost every frame in the background seems layered, lively and voluminous to the smallest detail.
And against the background of remakes of Disney cartoons and Marvel films, this is very impressive, because there is a huge amount of work done here, and not a careless attitude towards the audience, who will eat anything.
@@TheYoungblood46 Well, I do not know, probably because in the latest Marvel films and many Disney fairy tales, the graphics are very bad or overdone. I don't remember the last time they did a good job on the graphics there. If they had at least a good script, I wouldn't find fault, but in most Disney remakes it's just a pathetic copy of the original cartoon with overloaded storylines that don't really affect anything, or less emotionally working scenes from the original.
And as for Marvel, in phase 4, only Spider-Man 3, Black Panther 2, Shang Chi somehow pleased emotionally and characters, and the rest is just a failure. Not only will there be terrible graphics in almost every new Phase 4 movie, but they will always add one character to the script that will not affect anything and will only stretch the timing by unnecessary appearances, killing all the dynamics.
Some of the pettiest reactors that I've had the displeasure of running across. 😬💆🏽♀️ Yikes
Also....
Along with being an extraordinary vocalist, she's a.... multi-instrumentalist, composer, writer, actor and seemingly all around incredible human being.

I’ll pass on this movie. No thanx. I smell woke agenda all over it. I’ll pass 😴
Its gonna be dissaster Like Mulan...
Hater
Not at all , Mulan's actress had zero personality so it's a very different thing
And Mulan also had a lot of behind the scenes issues that affected it's succcess
And also the lack of music
The two can't be compared , the Lion King wasn't that great and made over a billion even Aladdin had directing issues and Jafar wasn't great and it made over a billion too.
If the good stuff hits mainly Ariel and Ursula it will be a hit
Nah we could already tell from the Mulan trailer that it was going to be bad 😂 People were like where is mushu 😭 and so many things we could tell were wrong from trailer. Disney has learned from their mistakes!
How can you just tell? People said the same with Aladdin and it did fairly good
