TBE (1950)

Casey Jones is one of the best engineers there is and it is his duty to get his cargo to its destination on time via train. He sets off but is set back by a number of unfortunate circumstances such as a rain storm, a cow on the tracks, a mad bomber, and finally, when his train starts falling apart. Worst of all, he is on a collision course with another train coming in the opposite direction. After a terrific crash, the man at the train station assumes the worst when Casey doesn't show up but, to his delight, Casey finally makes it to his destination a total wreck but on time (almost).

When I was a kid, I thought this was fictional. Now as an adult, I found out that this cartoon was based on a real person. John Luther "Casey" Jones was definitely a brave engineer.

I live in Mississippi. Casey's wreck site near Vaughn is down in Yazoo County a couple hours south of me. One of these days, I'm going to drive down there and visit it.

at 5:19 casey should add at least seconds to change the points or the swiches soo he would not crash against that heavy goods train hum casey engine in the cartoon is a 4-4-0 and the engines that are pulling the goods train are in my opinion two 4-8-0 CRP

@jase7474 Yeah, They only show stupid live action shows and phenais and ferb all the damn time, I wish someday, someday disney would turn to its original state and show only good cartoon like this one,the last piece of true walt disney animation i saw was alice in wonderland god i remember that one i think disney should remove disney branding and call it crappy channel :'(
