in Denmark we have two kinds of crepes: food crepes are traditionally thick and used for dinner meals where they're rolled around meats, but with the introduction of tortillas they've gone out of fashion (it's basically the same idea as an enchilada). So the idea of the sausage roll crepes is not that strange. And then we have dessert crepes which contain sugar and are a dessert similar to what you get in Germany and France

Canadians would see the drive to Norwich in hours driven, and honestly, a 4hr drive would be a lazy Sunday drive for most of us. I'm about 45 minutes closer to Ottawa than Toronto. You sweet lil Brits with your "long" distances!
It takes 24 hours (one full day, non-stop) to drive across Ontario on the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 17) (this goes from Ontario to Manitoba on the west side, and Quebec on the east side ((though the QC side is much closer to where I am right now))). It takes 8 hours to drive Ontario's longest freeway (Hwy 401) from end-to-end.

Chocolate with hot sauce is hardly an unusual combination; lots of dishes from central and south america use it (yeah, you wouldn't have the actual éclair). Also, sausage crêpes are fairly common in several European countries. Sometimes the crêpe is breaded (after being wrapped around the sausage) and fried, as well.
So those weren't really "crazy" combinations, just crappy (crêpy?) versions.

The sausage roll experiment came close to a traditional northern French market food: The Sausage Galette. This is basically the French equivalent of a sausage roll or hot-dog, with a decent quality sausage wrapped in a galette, which is an unsweetened crepe made with wholemeal flour. Typically served with onions and Dijon Mustard, though you can have them without either of those.

GIVE ME THEM RUSKS RIGHT NOW, I may be 26 years old but I will still eat a box of them any day, and I have gone to Asda and got two boxes before and went to check out and the lady was like "oh your baby must love them" and I just looked at her and went "No they are for me" the look on her face was priceless, the look on my mums was embarrassment and the look on my was Heaven for I now had more Rusks =)

i had supermarket sushi a couple of times, it is not that bad, one specific supermarket actually has a sushi stand and they do them fresh and pack them , u can even order it to be made and it takes around 10 minutes , sure, it tastes nothing like the ones from a real sushi place but for that price, it is nice to take home and enjoy it for what i think is around 5 pounds ?

I just looked up how far London is from Norwich, it's a shorter distance than driving from where I live to my brother's house, and we both live in MA one of the small states. Keep forgetting how Massive the US really is.
New England is twice as big as Old England for example xD

The counter they are using was probably meant to be a bar for cocktail parties. It seems to be a mid 20th century middle class home. They could pass dirty glasses back to the kitchen and pass trays of hors d'oeuvres out of the kitchen.

Oohhh, we used to go buy cheap crepes with a selection of fillings when we visited Flensborg. Dude who sold them was really nice. Super good crepes too!
