    I actually really liked Thor grappling with depression and having it negatively affect him both physically and mentally, because of 1 key scene. When he travels to the past and calls Mjolnir, it comes to him, signifying that his failure and consequential depression does not render him 'unworthy.' It's a quick, but quite resonant moment about self-worth when grappling with feelings of inadequacy.

    • @MrJackfaire
      @MrJackfaire 4 роки тому +2

      She's a Splinter. There is a reality where in 2014 by the Terran Calendar Thanos and his entire army vanished from the cosmos. What that reality looks like is anyone's guess. Gamora is a traveler from that reality. It was the only way to restore Gamora that wouldn't also open up the ability to just bring Natasha back and negate her sacrifice.

    That Bucky thing bugs me when people say he was "healed"...
    Shuri only removed his brainwashing and subconscious suggestion state, he's still a traumatized man out of time with the memories of mass murder and the killing of innocents. You don't just "fix" trauma.
    I can attest to that first hand. I died when having my lung removed during a series of seizures, and I have nightmares about it pretty regularly years later. Also, I get anxious and sick just thinking about times when I was an asshole as a teenager and it makes me cringe and keeps me up at night, I couldn't even imagine how much worse it must be remembering murder and death and beingcontrolled to do awful things.
    Bucky is not okay, and I'm sure one day he will be worthy of the shield, but not yet.

      Right, even when thanos reversed time to fix the mind stone, he had to reverse the explosion that destroyed it in the first place and repaired vision. My guess about Dr strange and rewinding Tony's death is that you can't undo the power of all six infinity stones, so Tony's death took place and it scarred his body forever, withstanding even the power of the Time Stone and Soul Stone. The only thing capable of bringing him back would be another snap, and no-one around was in a fit state to even attempt one.

      Sadly no, because they never go over that anywhere. One thing that irritates me with time travel plots is that they'll write up time travel as a thing, and then be like, "you can't change the past", completely undercutting the time travel they put in.
      They actually did a beautiful job with it in About Time. It's not that he can't change the past. He can't go back past his birth because he quantum leaps into his prior self. And he can't go back before the birth of his child, not because it isn't possible, but because he wouldn't have THAT child anymore, because of butterfly effect (that one sperm that makes it through can be changed by the instant.)

    Consider this for Tony's death. The thing that caused his death was the snap itself. The snap which the Time Stone was a part of. Rewinding Tony to the moment before the snap would undo the snap AND force the Time Stone to alter its own timeline, which would cause a paradox. BUT! Technically it would also undo the snap, therefore returning Thanos and his army back to existence. It's sort of like in Doctor Who when something is a fixed point in time and altering it shatters reality.

    To the "Why Tony?" question, I'd like to think that he may have thought that there was a "Monkey's Paw" thing with the snap, where it will take everything literally and it could go wrong if you aren't specific enough, and to Tony, he probably thought he was the only one available to account for all the details for his snap.
    Ex: if he tossed it to Cap. Marvel, she may have said, "dust all the aliens", and the only ones left would be earthlings..... in the entire universe.

Trying to find a better strategy for Iron Man than snapping is a fools errand and every fool who tries - ends up like Josh, just revealing that they don’t understand how the stones work, how the gauntlet works, how alternate timeline work, or how movies work for that matter.

    For the Time Stone, I find the explanation rather simple.
    1. Thanos was still alive when he used the stone on his own wound, it was also a wound inflicted by an axe, not infinite cosmic energies.
    2. When Thanos undid Vision's Death with it, it was a death inflicted by Wanda, not the full gauntlet. Also, Vision is, at the end of the day, a robot. Artificial life.
    3. If Tony had died any other way, the stone could have reversed it, but because Tony died because he used the full power of the Gauntlet, the damage was simply too much for even the Time Stone to undo. Even if juiced up by the Power Stone.
    Those are my reasonings on why the Stone wasn't used to bring Tony back. Personally, I think it's more of that last one, since the Time Stone has proven capable of reversing human death. However, those ones were caused by Dormammu's attack, not by using an Infinity Gauntlet.

    • @summertyme5748
      @summertyme5748 4 роки тому

      Alice 1) Correct, and he could use the power stone also to heal his wound. The Thor wound is not caused by the Infinity Gauntlet, what Josh misses - among *many* other things, is that Thanos wound from the Infinity Gauntlet to his arm and left side - is permanent. It *did not heal.* Josh and his frankly not too perceptive followers just missed it.

    • @summertyme5748
      @summertyme5748 4 роки тому

      2) The key point with Vision is a delicate bit of logic, that too many still miss, and given their inability to even grasp why Peter’s friends are still in school, this one may be too hard for some of them, but anyway.....
      -> Thanos uses the time stone on Vision. Vision has the mind stone. Remember this. Again...Vision has the mind stone, not the time stone.
      -> When Vision is turned back in time, the *mind stone* goes back to Vision because he had in the immediate past.
      -> Now, if you use the Eye of Agamoto to turn Tony Stark back in time -> the *time stone* goes back to Tony Stark - because he had it when he snapped, which is what killed him in the first place.
      *Once the time stone is not in the Eye,but is in Tony’s Gauntlet again, then you don’t have it, and you *can’t use it*, because you have *turned the time stone back in time along with Iron Man.*
      He would just be laying their dead. *Granted.* One can keep taking the time stone off of his dead body and trying again...over and over, if you’re feeling especially retarded about it. 😂

    There's another reason why Tony Stark was the only one who could have performed the snap beyond the fact that he was the closest. The glove that Thanos was wearing in the end was made from Stark nano-tech, which means that since every attempt to get the glove off of Thanos in both movies had failed that logically Stark could remove the stones via manipulating the nano-tech on Thanos' hand via the same nano-tech in the Iron Man suit that Stark was wearing. If you watch closely when Stark grabs the glove he's obviously not trying to remove the glove so much as buy enough time to snatch the stones.

    I have 2 theories for why Doctor Strange couldn’t save Tony.
    1. The time stone wouldn’t be able to undo his injuries. The snap has a really terrible affect on the user and it doesn’t appear to be undo able. Thanos was able to heal his chest wound but he still had the injuries from both snaps.
    2. Healing tony would also undo the snap. Since his injuries came directly from the stones, healing him without affecting the stones seems impossible.

    • @soraceant
      @soraceant 4 роки тому

      Your theories are wrong. The time stone easily can reverse death. the only death it couldnt reverse is the death of someone related to the soul stone. If you remember from the first movie, thanos using the gauntlet didnt injure his arm, only the gauntlet itself. The idea that the gauntlet hurts the user when they use all stones only came to be a thing in endgame. The second time he uses it in endgame its to destroy it so he cant heal himself afterwards. Healing tony would not undo the snap. They only need to use the reality stone not the whole gauntlet to heal tony or just the time stone so they can easily get him to a hospital. Its just bad writing.

    • @irondolphin9387

      Jude Ceant I was saying that it couldn’t undo damage caused by the stones, not just death itself. If you look back at the end of Infinity War, Thanos is injured. When he is watching the sunset, you can see his arm is burned. His chest wound was healed but his arm wasn’t. Why wouldn’t he heal that as well? They also didn’t undo Hulk’s arm when they had all of the stones. If the damage to Tony came from the snap, it could mean undoing it could undo what the stones have done.

I see it as the only one of the 14 M futures Strange visited had them winning with A)the mouse activating Scott's machine and B) Tony being the only one able to steal the stones out of Thanos' glove like that, since he designed both their gloves. Perhaps even if he could use the time stone to position himself near to Tony before the snap (as Thanos did resurrecting Vision), all the possible futures had Thanos retaking them before anyone else powerful enough to survive could get the glove on and take Tony's place. If they were on an airplane then it's a long way down without a parachute. Also how did everybody, newly returned dusted or not, get together and organize for the finale battle. That seemed vey fast.

      Hulk willed everyone to return "safely". Meaning that people snapped away in planes and on cruise ships or in space were blimped back safe on land. And anyone else who was snapped away from safety were just put back where they were dusted.

    #6, also because Robert Downey Jr's contract was up and he wasn't going to renew. Btw, He could still comeback, as an A.I. like he did in the comics.

    Stupid to expect Falcon to wield that shield, he has no superpower to launch it with any purpose.

    I'm more curious on how the sudden death if half the universe affected any Ghost Riders out there.
    Even if only 1% were innocent enough to cause a Spirit of Vengeance to awaken, that's still 1% of half the universe. That's still a lot of people.
    If Thanos snapped the host, the spirit likely would have just jumped to a new host. Unless, in the MCU, the Spirits themselves are not as resilient and powerful as depicted in the comics.
    I also just want more Ghost Rider, tbh...

    What I'm mad at is how they never explained that the bald chick whose the sister to the green chick, forgot her name, but the bald chicks past self was killed so how could she still exist in the present, like wtf they slipped that shit

      Josh Bautista : You are too lazy to even keep track of the characters name. Your middle name should be *WTF* because you will likely go through your whole life confused.

    Besides I heard Thor's appearance was a direct homage to a certain legendary movie character played by Jeff Bridges. Much like The Dude gave on life after his 60s radical heyday, and became a lazy slob Thor did the exact same thing after his defeat at the hands of Thanos. What do you expect from the guys behind "Community", but a cleverly placed reference to another movie.

    Falcon was not genetically engineered like Captain America so he can't be him.

    What about the earpieces? How did all the folks coming back from being snapped, like Falcon, all have the right earpieces to communicate with Captain America and have the correct frequency?

    Just HOW did Scott Lang's van get off Hank Pym's building and into storage?

      John K Now that’s a good question, considering they must have used Pym Particles to shrink the van to get it up there in the first place. I guess maybe Ghost or Bill Foster new of their mission, as they were after more quantum energy, and after the snap they located the van and put it in storage.

      Paul Burton Casey was alive, and would have had the police track her daddy down to that location. After which they might have assumed that he like all the rest was snapped.

    There not being a post credit scene makes sense in hindsight. They're focusing more on the shows right now and there's no way to coherently sum them all up in such a short amount of time.

    Think of pronouncing Mjolnir like this
    Me-yol-near
    But say it fast, like Me-yol is one syllable
    I like to think of it kinda sounding like "meow near" lol

      Chris Proves little. He also knows Natasha’s father’s name. The point is he is now a spirit or demon or ghost, essentially existing in a version of hell, he is not really a living man.
