I know a knife accessory video that you should make that will attract many thousands of viewers to your UA-cam channel ✅ I want to make this video, but I don't have a good speaking voice.
I’ve seen that you said you use different methods. I use a Spyderco sharpmaker and a lansky kit. I also use a couple of ceramic pocket stones for free sharpening. I can get my knives sharp with these systems but I can’t get them to the next level and they aren’t really appropriate for largefixed blades. I’m ready to upgrade and realise it won’t be cheap, but could you make a recommendation for me please on what I should consider next?
I would consider the TS Prof, then get a good angle cube like the one I’m using, the single clamp, and maybe the other clamps as well, consider getting glass platens and using lapping films on them. You will be set for a long time if you do that. The main advantage to a system like the TS Prof is it’s adaptable and you can use any 1”x6” stone. I like that a lot. If you can’t afford the TS Prof, then get the Work Sharp Pro.
@@DS-kg4do Xarilk gen 3 is a knockoff of the TS Prof Kadet, super stable and the clamps are very rigid. Mine is within .2 degree difference on flip. It comes with 3 diamond plates that are aluminum backed that are serviceable but get you some good 1x6 stones to go with it. It is just over 100$ on amazon and worth every penny. If you dont want to go Chinese knockoff then the Hapstone RS is probably the best bang for buck guided system from a big company, the TS Prof stuff is great also but just very very expensive for what you get. I love worksharp, but their guided system is to small for 6" stones even if you buy one of the adapters from gritomatic you are going to be using the middle 4" of the stones.

Do 1-3 tip to heel strokes to remove the burr first before grinding it off. Will make your results better
If you run it on a leather strap last you will get an even sharper finish

@ that’s great, thank you very much for your reply. I think I will go for the TS prof as you recommend.

Why would anyone mirror s90v? Totally kills the performance of that amazing steel.
Some people just have awful taste.
