- D-Link 2750U can actually work both as an Adsl and Ethernet WAN Router. However, the Indian firmware only enables the Adsl wan and 95% of users don't know about it.
In this video, I have provided complete easy steps on how to convert your DLink ADSL Router 2750U to a True WAN Ethernet Router. I have included the latest firmware in the link below.

You will find all the Versions inside the post in the above link along with steps mentioned in Hindi & English both.
Download the Firmware. You will find two folders. One will be in .zip format. Extract it to get the Latest Firmware. You have to choose upload & use the file name GAN9.ET235B-B-DL-DSL2750U-R5B028-ME.EN_2T2R_update_1.16.img to upgrade to the latest firmware. While recording the video, this latest firmware was not available. Use this.
I recommend you to watch the complete video & follow steps along with me. I have kept it so simple that anyone in the house can perform it if followed step by step.
Quick Steps:
If you are having firmware update issue using reset button, you may follow these steps:
1. Go to Management Tab.
2. Select "Firmware update" option located at left pane.
3. Select the image file using the "Choose file" option
4. Hit the update firmware button.
Wait for 3 to 4 mins for update.
Disclaimer: It may happen that If you miss a single step, your ADSL router could stop functioning. I have shown you live in the video. It worked and I am still using the same. Please watch video completely at least once before installing the firmware if you are not comfortable. Just follow along with the steps in the video & you will find guaranteed success. Thanks.

Works very well but if you are having firmware update issue using reset button, you may follow these steps

But it only works, if you are updating with same version os. I converted my etisalat UAE modem to Indian firmware. It can't be possible with the method you mentioned. But, it is the easy way for firmware update.

I had an old Dlink 2750U lying around and after doing the said process I made it into a wireless repeater in my living room because I had told my cable provider to also supply extra ethernet cable into the living room in case I needed to use their router outside. But now that won't be necessary as the Dlink one has become an extender/repeater. Once again thank you for the steps and also to make us realise this router can work as a repeater after a small firmware upgrade. :)

Remove static IP from modem, and enter static IP in PC.
May be the reason, ISP should provided username and password.

Old version 1.03 hi try Kiya aap Jo video Mai bataye so hi. Per setting Mai static IP address se Kiya. Phele connect nahi howa phir Maine hamere boardband connection ko call Kiya aur Mac address use ke system Mai phele ka add tha use remove Kiya phir Maine refresh Kiya setting Mac address add hogaya. Kiyon ke main phele D-Link ka WAN Port wala alag se tha woh use karta tha par woh single range ka tha. Isleye Maine single range badane ke liye Kiya. Thank very much. Sur

Hello Saurav, once u select Ethernet, it has pppoe option and other options. Contact ur local Internet service provider, ask him to provide u with username & password for ur internet connection. Once u do that, tell him that u have installed a new router and he will map ur dlink 2750u mac address in his software. U can use it thereafter. Back in some years ago I have a Modem Router Combo unit named as TP-Link W8968... which was having a RJ11 port ethernet cable with PPPoE protocol connection provided by ISP....
and now I wanted to connect my New router named as A9 AC 1900 ....So how do I connect it? does it require modem support of my previous router/modem? Does.it.require PPPoE connection? or does it require Dynamic IP? to connect?

I and Aditya Kaushik has the common issue due to H/W ver I1 and all the firmware update provided by you are not compatible with it. Please provide a relevant firmware which can be used for this H/w version.

Let me clarify something to everybody whoever has commented below. The version which is being used & shown here is the Middle East Software Version(ME) & it is not anything like, 3rd Party/unauthorized firmware. Now coming to the compatibility, you can go to the D-Link Australia website(AU) or Middle East Website(ME) & download the latest firmware which will support both WAN & ADSL.
Any version which is written as IN, such as IN_R_01.00.10(India), it is an Indian version which is solely made for India.

The new speed will not depend on your router however your internet plan. For speed releated issue, have a word with ISP. The video helps in converting your 2750u adsl router to use as a wan ethernet router option. Hope I answered your query. Thankyou
@@Kushalsonkarvlogs Please try to understand, the LAN Ports of these router is 10/100 MBPS which means the maximum theoretical achievable speed will be 100 MBPS over LAN & 300 MBPS over Wifi(Depends on various factors such as other 2.4 Ghz enabled devices, distance of these router from the device). If you want to get 150 MBPS speed then either you need to go for a Gigabit router (10/100/1000 MBPS) over LAN & at least AC750 for Wi-Fi.

Thank you Ajey. I am able to convert my D-Link 2750 U to WAN ethernet. But my speed reduces drastically... changed few settings like channel etc but not improving...
Its a dsl router which has its own limitations, however you can use it in multiple ways, use its strong wify signals, after upgrading the firmware as shown in this video, use it as an extender using bridge mode. And moreover you have converted it as a wan ethernet router which you can use anywhere.
Hey Ajey, I used the above steps to upgrade firmware. It got updated. I have a ethernet of 20Mbps speed but I am getting output of only 600Kbps from Modem. Any idea how to fix this?

First upgrade firmware using the method explained in this video. Then configure it using Bridge Mode - it will start working as a repeater. (the setting would be at the place where you configure Static, PPPoE, Dynamic, Bridge). The external cable should connect to Port 4. Try it.

Bilkul karega dost, sabse pehle aap hardware version nikalo apne router ka, usse upgrade karo taaki usme ethernet wan ka option aaye. Phir aap dusre router se ethernet cable le kar iske port 4 me laga do aur router configuration me isse as a bridge mode use karo ( aapko pppoe, static ya dynamic na select karke bridge mode select karna hai), uske baad aap dlink ke wi-fy ko use kar sakte ho.

Aap jio modem ki wired speed check karo. Same lan cable ko aap D-Link 2750U Router me laga sakte ho and enjoy its good range.

Aapne ethernet setting mein user name aur password dalne k bataya hai par JIO GIGA fibre ki taraf se aisa koi username aur passwrod nahi diya hai.

( Jaise aap pppoe connection me username password dalte ho, wahin sabse pehli left tab par click karna to automatic wizard wali screen aayegi, usme aapko bridge mode select karna hai, (don't select pppoe, static, dynamic, but select bridge). Finally configure D-Link wify password and connect devices with dlink ssid name and its password)

I did same, n tried to use this 2750U (N300) as main router instead of Archer C6 (AC1200) for USB port for sharing it on network. It worked greatly, usb was visible on network but
Its has a speed limit of 30mbps, m my need n plan os 75mbps, so had to use my Archer C6 only.
That's the only drawback that it limits the speed. If you can work with that speed like browsing or doing office work, the router is usable.

Inform your ISP that you have installed a new router, ask him to reset the mac address. As soon he does, it will turn into green
It does not allow to change service name settings though.
No need to change service name. Simply change pppoe username and password and get the mac reset by isp and net will start working.
@@AKGInfotechwe tested it but didn't work.. my service provider said until Service Name is changed it won't work..
@@sandeepsutar3260 you tell you have added the same service name he is telling you to enter and then check. Still if he agrees to you, tell him you have connected a fresh new router and its asking for mac reset and pppoe username and password....once done net light will turn green and will start. Trust me
Where is splitter connected pls explain
Mtnl rj11 cable coming from outside house - connected to 'Line In' port on splitter, another rj11 connected to adsl port on splitter going to adsl port at back on modem. This was the setup when u have adsl service provider. If you want to convert this adsl modem into wan modem, its restricted by default by dlink. I explained how to remove that restriction. I am doing the correct steps, however still getting the same error. The firmware updates gives an error file is too large. My firmware is IN_R_01.00.10 which i have updated today through firmware update process. Please check it at your end and i am not restoring the backup of configuration as you have mentioned earlier.

1. After firmware setup and configuring isp id pass in this router. But, I have Hathway gtpl isp provider...does we need to tell him to register this new dlink router's MAC id in their system? Then only our internet will start??
2. After doing this your given firmware update, still internet does not work, then how can i set back to previous firmware settings??

Bro, I am sorry to update that the firmware used in video is only for DLink 2750. I searched and found that there is an updated firmware for DSL W200 as well - I haven't checked this model, request you to keep a note of existing firmware version & try latest firmware from: bpedia.co.in/bsnl-dsl-w200-sy-firmware-upgrade-solves-dhcp-problem/
Hi Ajey, does the latest official Router image support this functionality? Since it is a router image, it is better to make sure what changes are made in the custom image!!
Its not the custom image, in India they restrict us to purchase separate models (adsl and wan routers). In European countries dlink flash the image which works both with Adsl and wan. The image in the links of description is European countries one. Use it without any issue.

Definitely, you can use DLink 2750U in ethernet as Router (with pppoe, static ip, dynamic ip options) or extender as well.
