Thank Justin for this UNIQUE video. As of today, August 1st, 2024, yours is the ONLY one on UA-cam that talks about update 2.0 for Zoom F6. That's strange because it includes a feature that allows 32-bit float audio interface support. I have one question, please. Four years ago, when it was first released, some people reported that Zoom F6 has Line Out issue. Has it been fixed in 2024? Or do the users still have to use the workaround? Thanks again.
I wish there was overdubbing on F6. Sound of the preamps with 32bitfloat is so good i've used it to record the sound before hitting the Zoom R16 for multitrack and then synced all the F6 tracks

Using with Rode NTG3 for external audio and discerning Senheisser MKH50 or Audio Technica 4053b for Internal dialogue/audio. Would love your thoughts on Internal Dialogue Mics in a future video, if this is something that you think your community would benefit hearing more about. Thank you for all the content you create. We all have to move and grow. Great will come and go but I still love the F6. One day I’ll move on from it but I would need a reason. Either for work or maybe a solid price of gear I can use for UA-cam. Thanks for checking out the video!
I've just checked. The most annoying thing (buzzing via Line out when levels are down to -20 to -40dB still there ... this does not impact all the F6s, but early batches.

Is there a possibility to link two channels with one mic input? To have two separate levels, in case one is peaking, I have a back up of the other input. I haven't found useful video anywhere yet. Thank you so much in advance.
I have a quirk. I always update my hardware even if I don't use it often. Before, with my TentacleSyncE and F6 needed a 1/8 reverse (R&L) stereo cable. After months of not using it, now all of a sudden it takes a normal cable. And the reversed cables no longer work. What happened? Can an update had switch left to right connection inside? I also updated the Tentacle since and as I said didn't used those gear for months almost a year.
Updates can change a lot of stuff. Direction of audio be it LR or RL could happen. But since you updated both devices, I’m not sure which one could be the culprit. Maybe try factory resetting the F6 and see if you still have the issue. Not sure if it’ll help but it would be my first step. Thanks for checking out the video!
Hey guys, I dont know why, but my F6 is visible in Win11Pro (64-bit) just as Stereo Mix (as audio interface) and i am able to record in 16 bit only. When i change setting to Multi Track as audio interface, windows system detects F6 (also with beep sound when i plug/unplug) in device manager, but not possibe to see driver or "choose" F6 as input device. I have changed cables, ports etc.... still the same. I have new firmware 2.0 and windows audio driver properly installed from ZOOM support page. Any ideas why this is happening and how to resolve this problem please?
To confirm, please. Are you saying that the F6 does not pass through the independant channels to your DAW as audio interface? If so, that is a deal-breaker for me. I am looking for an audio interface and am considering purchasing the F6.
Seems that 2.00 starts a bit faster but maybe it's just me. I bet they haven't fixed line out issue ... which is really annoying :(. I do not use it as interface, but updated regardless :D.
@@kurokid2441 Yeah, that's actually a cable with build in resisting element. It costs 30-40$, and it's impossible to get in EU :(. Maybe I should have RMA created on my F6, since I bought it in 2022 I think when new good version has been already rolled out. But there are work arounds ... one is to have a camera with actual Line in, like any Panasonic or Black Magic :D.

Are you strictly looking for an Audio interface? Just for cpu use?
Same here. F6 works in Stereo mode or Multitrack 24-bit only. Not recognized when using Float. Seems to be a Windows 10 problem, too.

yep ... you need a cable that can split the signal to two(camera & Phoneout) according to what Curtis Judd had ever mentioned.
