Sorry for my absence, real life responsibilities were calling my name. But I'm back with another remix!
This song is honestly one of my favorites from the OST of Sonic Mania, and yet it doesn't get remixed often. I've only see a few attempts to remix it. So, I figured "Why not?"
Enjoy this climax of the long journey Sonic and his friends take through Sonic Mania, ending up inside the giant mech that looks like Robotnik which was literally...built to rule.

Not actually, he was referring that when he (Robotnik) was a toddler, he was capable of solving mathematical and physics formulas, while when Dount Lord (Tom) were a toddler he was spitting up milk (infant formula) a alternative source of proteins to infants. What he actually were trying to say is, I was born a genius and you're just only basic man, incapable of digesting simple natural milk (the breastfeed ones).
When Dount Lord (Tom) replies "I was breastfeed, actually". He was smartly saying "I am like you, I am a human". And Robotnik in answer replies "Nice... Rub that in my orphan face, why don't ya!?". Meaning, that "I must be like you, but I am one who doesn't needed a family to survive", and the "why don't ya!?" Was used in misunderstanding to Tom's intentions, Robotnik was feeling that Tom was actually feeling superior to him (Robotnik), when not! His arrogance, extreme rationalism and pride of his genius is incapable of seeing him as a human like anyone else, but someone who deserves to be praised a fully narcissist.
I always thought the 'Titanic Monarch' and 'Built to Rule' things were referring to Heavy King.
Of course, he is the mastermind.

@@DerpaTure9503 they were trying to accomplish different things, this is trying to be dark and foreboding, the robot looming over you, but you can never get a good look at the whole thing (especially the moment right before you enter the elevator with the crimson eye, where you can see the mech starting right at you before disappearing behind the wall) and egg reverie is trying to be exiting, pumping up the player and motivating them to save the world from two evil masterminds who are fighter each other more than you, also tying into the (could’ve been good if they did it right) sonic forces, so it’s not very fair to say which is a better final boss theme. sorry for the long read
It's referring to the Titanic monarch itself. the heavy king was built to serve while the Titanic monarch was built to rule but the heavy king betrayed eggman to steal the ruby
I think this has become the definitive version of this track for me. The Sonic CD laugh sfx was such a nice touch and I can't believe that Tee Lopes decided to keep it out. I'm sure he had his reasons tho.

Titanic Monarch is just such a rad zone, its music and visuals rock with all the blues and reds, plus all the stained glass windows in act 2. And the concept of an entire level inside of a giant robot is so cool

Stage 31-Titanic Monarch: corruption base.
After sonic forces. The heavy king enters modern Sonic’s dimension and rebuilds titanic monarch. As modern sonic: you have to climb up the robot and make it to the top while robots and electricity beams try to stop you from getting there.
Stage 32-titanic monarch: Glitched Reality.
When modern sonic makes it to the top of the base and enters the inside. Sonic tells the avatar to go through the inside. The avatar has to dodge electricity beams and robots like before. But the heavy king uses the phantom ruby to mess stuff up: gravity switching, characters acting weird, and past enemies trying to attack you.
Stage 33: Vs. The Hard Boiled heavies.
Classic Sonic makes it into the inside of the base but the rest of the hard boiled heavies somehow managed to make it there. Classic Sonic remembers that he went back to the modern sonic dimension and maybe on accident, he let the heavies in. Classic Sonic fights all the heavies, and then classic sonic fights the heavy king.
Ok that was a lot of stuff. Anyways that was just a idea of mine if titanic monarch was a dlc level in sonic forces. And also, really good remix! You never fail to amaze me Jahn!
This, actually would have been awesome to see as a second wave of DLC, like how episode Shadow was.

Me: Oh no it’s back.
To this day, I am disappointed that you don’t fight this huge robot, like it’s a 3D model in the background and you have to enter the insides of its hands to do damage ( I see them holes 👀), and then it fires rockets or something that you must hit back. Then you go inside the head to face robotnik/eggman, who is in that suit, except with intense weaponry, which when you destroy, the phantom ruby pushes you out, to where the robot goes nuts, go inside AGAIN, and destroy the Phantom Ruby once and for all. SOMEBODY ANIMATE THAT SO I CAN HAVE HAPPINESS.
I, too, am confused as well that nobody seems to realise what the main plot of Sonic Mania is: Stop Doctor Robotnik from using the Phantom Ruby to power the Titanic Monarch mech suit to destroy the world, and also stop the Heavy King from taking it at the last minute of Robotnik's defeat. It’s a shame that we didn’t get a Baby Bowser-Like Boss Battle at the end of the game where you would destroy the Titanic Monarch.

The original had an eerie vibe, while this remix has a Sonic vibe. This one would fit more in a Sonic game, but i guess this is the first time i like the original more then your remix.
The only thing that rivals that monstrosity in size is the death egg robot in the movie
