Very good information thanks. Couple if questions if I bought new a year or two before construction was done. Is it standard to give a 30% deposit at time of writing the contract? Also what if God forbid you passed away? Would your heirs be able to get the deposit back?
Very good questions. Yes 30% is the standard, could be 20% but could be also 40% it depends on the developer. In case the buyer dies it’s considered a major cause and it will be no problem to cancel the contract and get the money back if the descendants are willing to.
