    Very bold of you to assume I was lifting heavy weights in the first place

    I've always kind of ran into issues you talked about when coming back from a 1-2 week vacation when I didn't keep up with training. This seems like a good, logical approach that's not too passive and not too aggressive...I'll give this a go whenever I can go back to training next month.

    Sean,
    Real talk my brother. I only really follow you and Russ in terms of lifters at this point. You guys are true inspirations. However, lately I haven’t been able to get into the “other guys” stuff since it’s not relatable. Your information and office hours like this keep me from going insane over here. Not many guys have your intelligence and communication skills. Not kissing ass bro because it’s not in my nature. Just patting you on the back and telling you to keep doing what your doing. It’s been a long time since I craved a video from someone or clicked on something immediately no matter what I got going on. Keep it 100 brother and keep growing. Respect ✊

    Great content Sean, really appreciate the honesty and the effective approach to return to normal training. Just wanted to ask, if someone Squatted 3x a week prior to the quarantine, how would you program that 3rd day for Weeks 1-4?

    • @seannoriega1024
      @seannoriega1024  4 роки тому +3

      The program behind me is not my recommendation for rep schemes, frequency or weekly volume. It was merely an example to detail the underlying philosophy. Each week establishes a new E1RM, and each day starts with a gauge set at a %age that would fall around your target RPE for the day. If it matches, you’re good to continue. If it doesn’t, you auto-regulate up (or maybe down), but now you’re in the ballpark to make a well-informed jump to your desired intensity/RPE. This way the margin for error is smaller and you get the most out of your training during a time where your 1RM is more volatile relative to when you’re trained.

    Sorry if I missed this, but are the backdown percentages based on the single you hit for the day or your estimated max from the single?

  • @cagatayhandogru7472

  • @failurehaus5979

    Are the percentages for the back downs based on the single of the day? Or just what you guess your max would be based on it ?

  • @shifter8207

    I like the approach but , for example in week 1 would every workout be an sbd day ? Or how would each workout be arranged?

    • @seannoriega1024
      @seannoriega1024  4 роки тому

      I never said that. Day 1 is SBD. Every successive day you decide the split that makes the most sense given your frequency and schedule .

    Sean is your depiction of the muscle & strength a good basis of how the book is? Sorry to ask u this but it would be great to have a grasp of what the book is about since reading it is kinda very far to me considering how much dollars costs compared to BRL lol! Is unfortunate because I love Eric(: Thx for the content bro very very dope, take care!

    So this is a four day split?

  • @nickcollins9170
    @nickcollins9170 4 роки тому

    So would you advise that these bench 1,2,3 days however many we choose to do, be all comp bench or should there be a variation in there on one day.

    • @seannoriega1024
      @seannoriega1024  4 роки тому

      As I mentioned: Competition lift frequency should match what historically has been sustainable.

  • @nileswali2595
    @nileswali2595 4 роки тому

    Since i deadlift only once a week, after the first week of testing those maxes can i go back to variations on the second week? e.g. week 1 comp dl, week 2 pause dl

    • @seannoriega1024
      @seannoriega1024  4 роки тому +1

      You just said you only deadlift once a week. If you pause deadlift on a second day, you deadlift twice a week.

    I think I know from whom you heard the issue you were saying at the start re doing variations. And if I'm correct you should also know that those people aren't really competitive powerlifters. 😅 And if I'm wrong, well, just so you know, I actually agree with you. Thanks for this information, Sean! Stay strong 💪💪

    -have a huge ego arch in your bench so you feel that you actually benched it and you won’t think you lost any strength being off that long!!
