Love it. A badass beat match tutorial by a seasoned DJ, all skills, zero ego - complete with breakfast cereal bowl next to the jogwheel and the spinning 'camera-being-unscrewed' view at the end. Lol. :) Seriously though, I learned a lot from this vid. Many thanks.
So well done for doing this How to, in laymens terms for people that need it. I think it will probably help a lot of people.
i think u should of explained with 2 separate tracks - and gone in to detail about how u hear how a tune is slightly behind or slightly ahead in 1 ear in the phones and one ear on the PA . Rather than noticing the phase and doing trial and error to find which way to move jogwheel. Obviously learning with 2 of the same track, the kicks and sound are
gonna phase coz there exactly the same. Listening for the phase and the
kick disappearing is not going to work when u mixing different tunes. U
need to learn the concept of hearing in your cue ear, whether its ahead
or behind. Glad u mentioned the separate ear thing though - that is key.
A few different examples with different tunes, after uve explained would be cool.
and hiding your displays, Its good u did that. Coz obviously looking at bpm is the same as sync anyway.

Great great great advice :) I though along the same lines just using same track in both decks then challenge my self by changing the pitch and beat matching the other the the change then when one to having a bit of fun doing extended mixes.
This was way back in 2011 on Numark CDN 88 (when money was short and times where hard) lol
and fabri-cobbled this, ok the quality was a bit poor but hey this was my early days :) what ya think I've gotten better form then thanks to your vids and tutorials (y)
