  • TOP 5 FOODS to try at Mangwon Market 🇰🇷 Popular Street Food Market in Seoul Korea!
Seoul, South Korea - Today we went Mangwon Market to try some street food. This market is not as popular as Gwangjang or Namdaemun Market, but it is just as fun.
The one thing Mangwon Market is known for is Dak Gang Jeong, which is deep fried chicken bites with special sauces. This is a great way to have fried chicken and try some new sauce flavors. It can also be very dangerous, as I could have tried more flavors for sure!
Also, we got an opportunity to try some stuffed chili peppers, called Gochu Twigim. These stuff peppers were huge, and the meat filling in the peppers had a nice flavor and very juicy.
Walking a bit further, we ran into a food stall selling twigim, tteokbokki and odeng. So I had to stop and try some of these fried odeng on a stick. These fried odeng have a similar flavor to corndogs. The batter is a little sweet with a mild flavor. This is a great street food and perfect on a chilly day.
There is one street food I wanted to try, called Tteokgalbi. These are made of short rib beef and is ground to make patties. Pretty much like a hamburger. Super juicy and tender beef patties. Then we ended the day with trying some cheesy katsu. The cheese was gooey and paired perfectly with the thin sliced pork in a cutlet.
All I can say is that Mangwon Market is definitely a market worth visiting and enjoying a day in Seoul. If you want to get off the traditional tourist markets, try visiting this market the next time you are in Seoul.
Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

We used the subway system and google to make our way around. Google worked fine for me, but I have heard that it can be hit and miss. Have a wonderful trip to Seoul and thank you for watching.

How many places accepted foreign credit cards in Mangwon market?

Sorry, I can't tell you how many places accept credit cards at Mangwon. I know a couple places we went accepted our credit card from the US. But smaller vendors may accept cash only at these markets.
