    You can also turn the individual foot switches you use for patch selection to turn on the solo function by pressing it again. This is done in the system menu. So for example you select "number 2" to change patch two of whatever bank you're in. Press 2 again and it turns on the solo. Press it again, it turns off the solo.

    Thanks for this video. I use the Number, Control and Phrase loop, and swell pedals assigns to bring in or out effects. I'd like to set the swell pedal so it activates Chorus when fully up, wah for most of the shift and no assign when fully down - any ideas how? Thanks.

    Hi Kenny, enjoy your videos.
    I used to own a GT10 and I used the pedal as wah only. I turned off volume/expression. So it did not operate unless I pressed the pedal down and activated the wah. From memory I did this thru global settings.
    I now have a GT100 and cannot see where I can do similar? Is it possible ?

    Thanks for the video however it seems like if I try to switch my EZ tone or turn the boss gt-100 off, my wah is gone and I have to go and manually get it back again. I should be able to save it somehow right?

      @GuitarNTabs  4 роки тому

      Hey there!
      Sorry for the late reply, but your comment went into my spam folder...
      Well, most of that has to do with your picking attach, and the dynamics, as you mention yourself.
      Another part is the amplifier, or preamp, and how that is set up.
      In order to achieve some versatility it would be a good idea to set the amplifier, or preamp, up so that it's on the edge of "break up".
      That way you can control your picking dynamics and also use your guitar's volume knob to change the characteristics.
      You could also you the Assigns to change from a clean sound and over to a distortion sound, by pressing the ACCEL/CTL, for example.
      Let me know what you think.
      All the best.

    Thank you so much for these helps. It has been very helpful for me in learning how to use my GT100.
    I’m wondering is it possible to carry echo/delay, reverb etc sounds over to the next patch selected. So the sound doesn’t just stop cold when you change to the next patch.?
    Thanks again

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  3 роки тому

      Hi there, RIch.
      You're very welcome, I'm very happy that you found the video helpful and useful.
      Sadly the delay/reverb spillover isn't possible on the GT-100... So you won't be able to get that type of effect, I'm affraid.
      I hope this answers your question.
      Please let me know if you need anything else, I'd be happy to assist.
      All the best.

    • @aeonstyle032
      @aeonstyle032 Рік тому

      Just copy the delay and reverb settings of your first patch into your next patch and adjust each level to a minimum so it creates the "spillover effect".

    Great video Kenny! I followed the steps and it works with using the assign. The results by using the Boss FS-6 are different. How come? I really dont know.
    Mabey because I use a stereo cable to connect the FS-6, or maybe the FS-6 mode is wrong. The mode I use now is Momentary.
    The best result I have made is that by pressing once teh FS-6, the OD goes off and the Wah goes on. Pressing again and teh OD goes on and the Wah goes off. Excelent. The only thing is that the light on de FS-6, stays off. Only by presseing ther is for a second a light, after releasing the button, is goes off.

    • @ariefranken4979
      @ariefranken4979 6 років тому

      Switching the mode of the FSW-6 to "latch", the light of the FS-6 stays on, but you've to press twice before the OD effect goes off and the Waheffect goes on.

      @@ariefranken4979 - Hey there, mate 😊
      Thank you, I'm pleased to hear that it worked out - excellent!
      Hmm, different? How, exactly?
      If you use a stereo cable, then make sure that you've connected the stereo cable to the right input on the FS-6. It should be the A&B input on the FS-6.
      If you look in the manual, Arie, then there's a great explanation of how the FS-6 should be set up, in order to work with the GT-100.
      Regarding the light, I believe there's a solution to that.. Check out my video regarding the FS-7 footswitch
      Link - ua-cam.com/video/ckyaXfCBg8c/v-deo.html
      The settings I show will work the same for the FS-6 - so there's your solution to having the led light come on, and stay on, until you press it again.
      It will also solve the "double-press".
      Does it make sense?
      Let me know, Arie.
      Cheers 🎄

      @@GuitarNTabs Hi Kenny, I found out that it has to do with the FS-6. Now the FS-6 backside stands to Momentary, so the FS-6 LED light won't stay on, but pressing once the OD goes off and the Wah goes on. This is fine. Thats there no light indicator on the FS-6 is pity, but no big deal. If I want the LED light on or off, by pressing once, I have to choose for "Latch" on the backside of the FS-6, but then I also have to accept.... twice pressing. I choose for once pressing without light indicator on the FS-6. On the other hand , the Wah pedal led does act normal. so there I can see if its on or off. Thank you for your wonderfull support! Happy holidays and a great 2019!l

      What about the video I linked to? The one with the FS.7? Those settings should work the same on the FS-6? Doesn't it?
      Did you watch the video I linked to? 😊
      You also have the option to purchase the FS-7 - then it's possible to have the lights on, when things are activated. I just don't get, if the FS-6 can't do it?.. That seems strange..
      Let me know if you need anything else, Arie. I'm always ready to help, and make tutorials.
      Looking forward to hear from you!
      Until then, Happy Holidays and the same to you and your dear ones 🎄🍻😊

    Is there a way to have the wah switchless? Activated by expression pedal movement?

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  2 роки тому

      Hi there, Mike Gill.
      I'm very sorry about my late reply, I've been behind on answering comments...
      You can set up an Assign for the EXP. setting the Source Mode of the Assign to MOMENT, but this will activate the wah when the EXP is all the way forward and deactivate it when the EXP is all the back - this will not really allow you to use it, only turn it on/off. However, if you have an external Expression pedal connected, then you could have the Assign set up on that, as mentioned above, and then the EXP on the GT-100 itself to operate the wah, like normal. I believe that should do it.
      Again, I'm sorry for the late reply.
      Have a great day.
      Cheers.

    I have had a GT-100 for 2 years now. Occasionally, during the use of my expression pedal, the sound volume decreases significantly (low tones drop out). This happens not only when I switch with the pedal but also randomly, for example, when playing a solo with a wah, which is really annoying. I have opened up the pedal, tightened everything, reinforced the vulnerable nut where the pedal is attached with locktite, and, of course, recalibrated it. Any idea what might be going on or which part of the hardware could be causing the problem? It seems to be an issue with a malfunction or loose connection. If I "stamp" on the pedal 2-3 times, my sound comes back. Thanks in advance.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  11 місяців тому

      Hello,
      Hmm, it seems strange, but of course something like this can happen. If you've been through almost everything, then I would try a Factory Reset, as a last resort.
      If you do, then please do a back up of your patches, since all memory will be reset, when factory reset.
      It might be worth a try.
      I hope this helps.
      Best regards.

      No, l'assegnazione, che sia 1 o più, finirà solo sulla SOURCE su cui l'hai impostata, ad esempio Accel/CTL, Phrase Loop, ecc.
      Il numero dell'Assign serve solo per farti sapere quanti Assign sono stati usati.

      Hey there!
      Thanks for your question and comment - I appreciate it!
      Well, It's My Life by Bon Jovi is known for its intro, where the guitarist is using a Talk Box, for that distinct guitar tone. It's not really a Wah pedal that's doing it, but I guess, in a pinch, that could do it. I haven't tried that.
      Other than that it should just be some nice distortion, reverb and perhaps some delay.
      I hope this helps - let me know.

      Have you done the Input Calibration?

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  5 років тому

      @@facundodemo4823 - Well, then most of the job is up to you, to be honest. I mainly use the GT-100 with its onboard preamps/cabinets, along with its effects. I haven't used the GT-100 with an external amp in a long time...
      Okay, let me help you - follow these steps:
      1. Depending on what type of amplifier you have, you will need to set the proper Output Select. Press the SYSTEM-button to find the Output Select-icon.
      Choose the Output Select that best matches your amplifier.
      If your amplifier is a Combo-type amp, then select the Combo Amp setting, if your amplifier is a stack-type amp, then select the Stack Amp setting. Don't select any of the Combo Amp Return, Stack Amp Return, JC-120 Return or Line/Phones.
      Always check to make sure, that the GT-100's onboard Preamps/Cabinets are turned OFF. You do that by pressing the EFFECT-button, and scrolling to the Preamp-block. Make sure to turn them OFF. Save the patch after this. When the proper Output Select is adjusted, then the onboard Preamps/Cabinets should be OFF by default.
      2. Calibrate the Input of the GT-100 - follow the instructions in this video:
      ua-cam.com/video/wBq_5hvqar0/v-deo.html
      3. Set up your amplifier to sound the way you want it to. Whether that's clean, with the overdrive/distortion coming from the GT-100's OD/DS-block, or using your amp's overdrive channel. This part is up to you, and what sounds right to your ear, in relation to the song.
      4. Once your amp sound is good, then select the effects you think you need. You would probably need overdrive/distortion, some reverb and perhaps some delay. If you really want to nail the It's My Life tone, then you need a talk box - perhaps the Wah from the GT-100 could do it, but I haven't done that.
      5. If you're in doubt, then try and Google-search something like "Bon Jovi - It's My Life Guitar Tone" or "Bon Jovi guitarist effects". That will provide some information about what gear those guitarists used/use.
      Take your time, and give this a shot, then let me know how it goes.
      It's not easy to create artist patches, and there's a lot patience in it, so take it slow.
      Cheers.
