Great Video!! I pick up my brand new 2ss Saturday! I learned a lot for sure! Do you know if the 1LE has a different exhaust than I’m getting. Mine is equipped with the NPP
I have a 2021 1SS 1LE with 5Kmiles on it. My friend you have made the best video and most authentic and realistic review of this car I have ever seen. I subscribed because of it. You hit every nail on the head concerning handling and performance. Your candor and honesty are worthy of a subscription. The car is great but as you say you feel every darn twig you run over. I have yet to track it or even to really do some all out pulls. Waiting for the coming summer months as I got it in October 2021 and it still wasn't broken in last summer to allow me to nail it. Definitely not a daily driver if you have an option. lol I am glad i do. Thanks for the great review and if I saw this in time I probably would have ordered a 2SS without the LE.
Ooooohhh man...could it get any better?! The Chevrolet Camaro 2SS 1LE to me is the perfect sports muscle car - period. Its look is so awesome - meanacing but not too aggressive, iconic for sure, athletic but subtle, muscular but not overloaded, typical. The sound of the engine is causing goosebumps and yelling attacks at the same time while not being annoying on a hour long and fast Autobahn trip. I really like this colour - Satin Steel Grey Metallic, it fitsperfectly to the model. Cool review.
I really enjoyed watching this video you made, I am saving up to hopefully get approved for a V8 and how you have explained your vehicle is really helpful, I just subbed so I am looking forward to more content from you brother 🙌🏻
Great review. Regarding the ride - I'm sure the run-flat tires don't contribute much to a smooth ride on the less-than-perfect roads. They will help you when you are cruising down the hwy at 80 and have a blow-out and you won't have a wreck! Aside from that, they are crap. Just my opinion.
I will be picking up my Black 2022 2SS in a few weeks. I drove one with the 1LE package and did not like it. It was very uncomfortable for a daily driver. My current 2020 Camaro 3lt is very comfortable just upgrading to the V8.
Those "speakers" you pointed out in the doors are not speakers..they are noise cancelling sensors that neutralize engine noise inside the cabin.. and yes you have 6 pot pistons up front,..
I wanted the 1LE but I’ve never heard any1 talk abt the lag or how bumpy it is to that extent. I need to test drive one. I rly want the added 1LE features it comes with but maybe that suspension is too much for a daily. Have u tried keeping ur suspension in tour mode and the rest in sport for when u daily? Idk if that would be better or not. The 1LE just has so much to offer but that lag doesn’t sound good. I rly want the Recaro seats too.
I own a 2SS 1LE MT, I have no idea what he’s talking about with lag. He may be talking about throttle tip in, but there is no lag with these cars. If he’s actually got lag, then his car has a dealership and he should go use his warranty.
I have a 2021 2ss 1le and i keep it in sport and it rides just fine!! Tour does ride a little softer but i like the way it shifts in sport so thats where it stays. Exhaust in track!!
I’ve owned both (well my Mopar was a Charger, but same idea)- so what are you looking for? If you want the more comfortable muscle car, better freeway cruising, drag racing, and better daily driver- get the Mopar. If you want the car with world class handling that drives like a sports car andthat you can take to a track day or autocross, get the SS 1LE. They are very different cars and I love them both. It just really depends on what you want to do.
I had a 2015 2ss 1LE. Great performing car; a bit heavier than currently gen. I shoulda changed the summer tires since they picked up absolutely everything on city streets!
Beautiful SS 1LE man! What an incredible machine!! I can't wait to buy one next summer! I'm going to go with a slightly used & bone stock 2020-2021 2SS 1LE 6-Speed manual with an optional sunroof that has under 25k miles on it. I'm in Georgia, but I'll be searching all the lower 48 states via CarGurus for the 1LE in the color I like with a manual and sunroof. I'll fly there if it's far, and enjoy the drive back to GA. Anyway, I'll subscribe after this comment. Best of luck with your 1LE man! Awesome video by the way! 🍻
Man congrats on coming in the 6th gen 1le family bro! I appreciate your support I’m gonna try to drop as much content as possible for you guys! Ready to see your purchase. If you need help finding one I could sure help out!
@STRICTLY N/A Awesome, thanks! I just saw that you're looking to get rid of it for a family car. I totally get it. But yeah, any additional content you can make about the car would be great man! Thanks again!
@STRICTLY N/A Nice! There you go lol! That's awesome man! You know honestly, I'm still considering a 2020 2SS 6-speed with a sunroof, magnetic ride, NPP exhaust, Navigation etc etc. I just love the looks of the 1LE, but the regular SS still rips up to 1.0G around the skid pad, it's just as fast or faster probably because of less weight, and it rides better... Not to mention tires will cost a lot less. I don't know, I'm still up in the air. They're both awesome! At least looking at both will give me more choices to look at when I start shopping. I'll definitely drive both.
@@StormAutoAdventures if I were you I’d go 2019-2021 2ss bro that’s if I were you I’ve owned both and I say the 2ss is just plenty and a little better to me
The ride is very smooth in Touring, but you have slightly stiffer springs and sway bars. To me, this car rides beautifully. Now if we are talking about a ZL1 1LE, then I understand why someone might complain about the ride quality. I’m fine with it, but I understand why others might not. For the level of performance you get, an SS 1LE have a *VERY* comfortable ride in the tour mode.
I’ve got to ask, why did you buy this? This has the Track Package. I repeat that, TRACK PACKAGE. The ride is great for what it is. Go drive a Focus RS, then drive the 1LE. I’ve owned both, the 1LE rides way better…not that I minded the RS ride. The 1LE Magnaride is awesome. Go into you Nav Settings, go to vehicle, set the ride to touring and keep it there if you want it to be more comfortable. The dampening is Mercedes smooth in that mode. Also, this is absolutely not designed for “circle track”, it’s designed for a road coarse. This isn’t made for NASCAR. If you want to circle track it, cool…but it can turn both ways (well). I know you’re in the south, so that’s NASCAR country. Also, since you are a drag racer, you know weight transfer is important. All the stuff added to this car made to make it dominate a road coarse will hurt it as a drag race car. You just bought the wrong car for what you want to do, but I just don’t get how you actually got to the point of buying it. It’s like you need a hammer, but you bought a screwdriver. Also, after owning modern cars from the big three, being a racer, track instructor, etc. I’ll give you my advice. The right car for you is a Mopar. I know you said in the other video I watched that you hate Hellcats, but that’s the car for you. You could go with a 392, but they don’t respond very well to mods. Cushy ride, super comfy seats, roomy, great weight transfer, etc. If you don’t get a wide body, you clearly don’t have enough tire, so you need a wide body and some Nitto NT05R tires or something similar. The Camaro and the Alpha platforms main advantage against the competition is the handling. The 1LE takes that handling capability to a 9.5 out of 10 (ZL1 1LE is a maxed 10/10). To give you an idea of how good the grip of your 1LE is, a Ferrari 488 Pista (their track package) hits 1.10 Gs on a skidpad. Your 1LE Camaro hits 1.13 Gs. So your car out grips a $400K supercar. And the mind blowing ZL1 1LE can hit 1.20Gs! These are amazing cars, but they just don’t seem to be the right fit for you. I’ve owned them all, and I highly recommend you look at the Chally and Charger. I think you’ll be happier in the long run.
Beautiful car. One way it could be better is if it had the 6-speed manual. Again stunning car I own one myself in wild cherry tint coat but I got the six speed manual. Why? Because it is simply more fun, they are rare and they will go up in value. This is one of the last V-8 powered manual transmission cars produced. Oh sure the automatic is 1/ 10th of a second faster on the track but most people don’t track these cars they drive them for enjoyment and that’s why you should get the manual next time. Again no disrespect it’s a beautiful car but drive the manual. It will change your life.
The SS 1LE pairs with a 6-spd much better than the automatic. There’s a reason you couldn’t even get one with an automatic until 2021. If you are really at the point that you are worried about 0.1 seconds of performance, you better be on a track.
@SS Danos another advantage of the 6-spd. Most of the 6-spd 1LEs (2020-2023) got hand built engines from the Corvette factory. You won’t get that on an AT car.
It’s got to be a mechanical issue or a throttle programming issue. As I mentioned earlier, he should first drive another 1LE and see if it feels the same. If it does, he doesn’t like the tip in of the 1LE tune. The fact that this throttle map changes with modes, tells me this is unlikely. So I think he likely has a minor mechanical issue. Possibly a poorly gapped plug. This is very common from the factory.
So in your honest opinion, why don’t you like the 1le compared to the regular SS, I hear you say a lot of great things about the 1LE but you say you would prefer the regular SS overall
Ss is lighter , doesn’t have the lag when you hit the gas that the 1le does, it’s a less rough of a ride, the suspension and everything is already build for what I use it for. Straight line drag racing
@SS Danos no sir wrong again. There was bad pedal lag noticeable by anyone driving. Very different than my regular 2020 2ss. You could stomp the pedal and it would gradually pick up and then go and you stomp the pedal and it almost doesn’t respond at all for a second in the 1LE. After getting the car tuned the lag was then gone. The tuner also drove the car and noticed the HUGE lag

Do they make the 1LE with a Sunroof?
On the window display, does it look as far as the camera shows? Or does it look closer? Or are you able to make it bigger?
