Gift Registry OUT DATED?! | Traditional Wedding TRENDS | Should we do a GIFT LIST!?

Gift registry for your wedding day has been around, as we know it, since the 1920s. I threw the question out on TikToK recently - How do people feel about giving gifts at weddings? - and it got a lot of response, and some very strong responses!
So this week I wanted to delve into this area - as gift registry was very traditional and expected, but for modern weddings we have a lot more options. What are the pros and cons of the traditional wedding registry, how do you ask for money for your wedding? And why I suggest your should give your guests a mix and plenty of options.

I love the idea of a honeymoon fund! I think people would love to contribute towards a fun trip for the couple!

Our friend did a honeymoon fund but added options so people could gift specific amounts to specific things, like £100 for a room upgrade or £50 for breakfast etc. This meant that people who preferred to give actual gifts could get an idea of exactly where there money was going! :)
