I have some questions: 1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate). 2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role 3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies 4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years* *Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*.

HI Richard after being laid off with 19 years of loyal service to my business I was serioulsy depressed because I thought noone would like to hire me at later age (50+) this was enforced after numerous failed interview. I sytarted following your videos and followed your suggestions and guess what, today I have signed a deal as per my expectations with a very good company I will be very happy to work for, my sincere gratitudes to what you are doing here ! Yes. I can tell you all about it. I have good experience supporting other people in the community. I have good experience participating in a community project. I have good experience in fundraising cash to help community project plan work. I did this by bagging customer’s shopping at a big grocery store. The cash I raised and the cash my teammates raised was used for mostly buying gifts and toys to the local nurseries and to the local primary schools children. I have good experience volunteering at a community centre specifically for individuals with mental illnesses and physical disabilities. I have experience making donations and those were to help as a tool, to support and create a feeling such as happiness, joy, respect, love, inspiration, motivation, hope ... I have experience making meals and providing foods to the vulnerable, to the homeless, to the poor, . I have experience going above and beyond my job role’s description to complete a request that helped and supported individuals and one example is when I topped up a water bottle for a individual/customer that my previous manager would had ignored due to busyness and lack of the quality of being humane.

For the salary expectations questions is it okay to say something along the lines of “I’m looking for something that is in line with the company budget and also takes into account factors such as my qualifications, skills and years of experience. A figure that balances both aspects”

That question "Describe a scenario where you were critisized and how hou handled the critism". This questioned made me fail an interview before I knew how to respond to it well. My answer was "I went on to do the project the way I liked while ignoring the critisms and the project became a success😂😂". I burned the opportunity. But now I know better😂😂.

HI Richard after being laid off with 19 years of loyal service to my business I was serioulsy depressed because I thought noone would like to hire me at later age (50+) this was enforced after numerous failed interview. I have good experience in fundraising cash to help community project plan work. I did this by bagging customer’s shopping at a big grocery store. The cash I raised and the cash my teammates raised was used for mostly buying gifts and toys to the local nurseries and to the local primary schools children. I have good experience volunteering at a community centre specifically for individuals with mental illnesses and physical disabilities. I have experience making donations and those were to help as a tool, to support and create a feeling such as happiness, joy, respect, love, inspiration, motivation, hope ...
I have experience making meals and providing foods to the vulnerable, to the homeless, to the poor, . I have experience going above and beyond my job role’s description to complete a request that helped and supported individuals and one example is when I topped up a water bottle for a individual/customer that my previous manager would had ignored due to busyness and lack of the quality of being humane.
I have experience being the reason for a smile on individuals faces and their laughter.

For the salary expectations questions is it okay to say something along the lines of “I’m looking for something that is in line with the company budget and also takes into account factors such as my qualifications, skills and years of experience. A figure that balances both aspects”

That question "Describe a scenario where you were critisized and how hou handled the critism". This questioned made me fail an interview before I knew how to respond to it well. My answer was "I went on to do the project the way I liked while ignoring the critisms and the project became a success😂😂". I burned the opportunity. But now I know better😂😂.
