As a Scot from Glasgow and a Celtic supporter, I have followed King Kenny's career and have been a Liverpool supporter since 1977 when he joined the club. He is WITHOUT QUESTION the greatest player ever to wear the red of Liverpool and one of the greatest players of all time!!!. His affinity with the people of Liverpool is legendary and we could do with him in the first team even today lol!!!. I was lucky enough to watch him every other week from the Kop performing his magic, linking up with Rush and Souness and the rest of the team taking the team to even greater heights. I was also present at a few of the European Cup Finals that we won especially in 78 when Kenny scored the winning goal. He's a very humble family man and is also Scotland's greatest ever player. I can't wait to see the film that honours an amazing man, player, Manager and Liverpool Icon!!!.
I'm lucky enough to have been an LFC fan since '71 - long before Kenny arrived. We held Keegan up in the same way we did Suarez, Coutinho, Torres etc, so when Keegan left... I was a fan of Kenny's when he was at Celtic, and because there was no internet and so on, we didn't really know he was coming until he signed.
He was a legend already, we didn't make him one. His first game was the Charity Shield versus Utd. I can still 'see' him warming up as if it were yesterday. We were great already, but when Bob brought in 'The 3 Jocks' - Hanson, Kenny and Souness - in the space of those six months, we went to a different level.

The King himself Kenny Dalglish won 31 trophies for the club and a stand in Anfield. Fully deserve King you never get player's like that anymore in game.
Dalglish was a winner as a player and a manager. Dalglish fought for Liverpool not just in soccer, but the city too.

Was watching a great documentary on Shankly the other night, and can't wait to see this one too about another of my kith and kin, the one, the only, Kenny Dalglish. His influence from the start has been astonishing; from the great goals, to becoming a successful manager of Liverpool and others; and to of course, the cross he helped to bear during Hillsborough.
Legend is too small a word to describe the brilliance of this man. Thanks for everthing Kenny!

As a Jock, myself..I always feel a great affinity with Liverpool's people when I visit. A home from home, with all that combined history. And it's not just the football, it's the politics, the music, and the mad characters of everyday life.
Me too, its one of the reasons I became obsessed with the club and everything about it. The socialism instilled in the people, who take no nonsense, but have a great outlook on life and are down to Earth, reminds me of here in Scotland and is why I have an affinity with this great club even over my home town club of Dundee.

Crazy to think that even all the things Stevie has already given to Liverpool FC, he still hasn't been around the club enough to be in the same bracket as King Kenny. Just goes to show the extent of influence this Man has had on the club. Dalglish and Liverpool might as well be synonymous now. We can have our legends in Gerrard, Ian Rush, Souness etc, but then there will be King Kenny Dalglish, sitting at a level above all else, on His own.

Kenny is the greatest man to wear the Liverpool badge. Sadly never got to see him play so cant judge his ability but his legacy and loyalty to Liverpool speaks for itself.

Kenny was never THE 'best in the world', but he was the best possible fit for LFC. Kenny played FOR the club, not himself. I see similar qualities in Aguero - he said he won't move until City win the UCL.
Messi's not quite as bad as Ronaldo and Neymar, but he's still trying to dictate how Barcelona should be run. Kenny STILL has no ego and he has a quarter of the staduim named after him!

My dad used to kick a ball about as kids with Kenny in the same north Glasgow neighbourhood, said he "wasnae bad" ;-) Years later me and my brother became Liverpool fans during Kenny's tenure as a player and manager. We had the Hitachi strip for xmas like loads of kids of that era and also got the Kenny Dalglish annual every year. I watched this doc last night, very emotional and a great tribute to King Kenny, what a guy ! Met Kenny's daughter Kelly a few years ago in Glasgow, she told a story about starting Glasgow Uni and going to the bank with her grant cheque, payable to 'K Dalglish' "Oh" said the bank teller "You'll be too young to remember him !" ;-)

And my Mrs travelled from London to Liverpool on a train sitting directly opposite him in First, thinking he looked familiar - 'like someone from Sainsbury's in Crosby'. Penny finally dropped, The King nodded and smiled and she still didn't get me an autograph !!!! YNWA.
I envy Dalglish not only as a player, but as a manager. In my opinion he won more at Liverpool than when he was at Glasgow Celtic. I don't mind you disagree with me. At Glasgow Celtic, 4 league titles, 4 F.A. cups and a league cup and at Liverpool, as a player 6 league titles, F.A cup, 4 league cups, 3 cups in Europe and when he became manager of Liverpool, 3 league titles, 2 F.A cups and a league cup. Dalglish was just a winner whether he played or managed.

One wonderful movie about "king kenny" he's a legend. I enjoyed the movie. I'm from glasgow a huge celtic fan and we admire kenny.
Very powerful ending. Absolutely drenched in tears. I cannot imagine how he must hve felt during and after hillsboro. Carrying on despite being broken. I rate this movie, even more than i do for "Williams". Must watch.

Him and Kenny played at Rushie's testimonial. They were both interviewed after and it was the weirdest thing hearing this lad who looked exactly like Kenny, same voice, BUT a scouse accent. No DNA test required for Kenny's kids.
