  • Theses snowflakes are going to look beautiful on my farmhouse Christmas tree. They can be as rustic or as glam as you want them to be.

    Can't wait to see your video on how to use the metal pieces that you take off the clothespins, someone used them to make stars but I can't remember how she did that, thanks so much for sharing your talents with us, bless you. 💖

    These are such beautiful stars. Snowflakes have six sided symmetry.

    Those are pretty. I like the natural, but I also think white washing them would be pretty. I love the blue on them to. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day.

    I think they would look good if each layer was a darker wood stain. Super cute idea using the lil ones.

      Donna Rny that’s what I intended with the painted one but the difference was softer than I was going for and didn’t show up well on camera.

    I made some this year for the first time but I sure wish I had found your video first because yours are SO cute. The other video did not show the layering effect which I just love, these turned out so cute. New subscriber here and thanks!

    Please could you tell me what you do with all the clothes peg springs?

    Loved your video! I went to you blog several times and it’s only showing other things you’ve made. But the menu and see more buttons aren’t working for me . I am really interested in those medallions you use on that purple snow flake that you did.. i was just stunning!

    Is it easier to paint before you glue? Or do you paint after you glue it all together?

    • @WhimsyWonderland
      @WhimsyWonderland  Рік тому

      I prefer to paint after assembly, especially if I’m using chalk paint. I find that glue holds better on raw wood. The glue sometimes reacts with the paint, then it peels and falls apart. So I prefer assembly first. There are lots of schools of thought in that so do what works best for you.

    Did you find special glue for your glue gun as you keep saying your using wood glue. Thanks

    • @WhimsyWonderland
      @WhimsyWonderland  Рік тому

      Yes, I used hot glue for wood. It’s made by sure bond and I got it at Hobby Lobby. S as l though, since then, I have switched to Gorrilla glue brand hot glue and find that I like it better

    Would a regular glue gun not work on wood??

    • @WhimsyWonderland
      @WhimsyWonderland  3 роки тому

      You could use regular hot glue, but you may want to sand the wood first.
