I love this idea. I'm going to make some & spray them with glow in the dark paint.
What a great idea!
love your idea of spraying with Glow paint OMG yes great idea, how did you go it's been a year later I'm interested to know how it worked
@@debzvant898 I just came across this video 2 days ago. So haven't tried it yet. However, I can tell you how it worked out for Halloween project I did. So I made some glow in the dark ghost to hang from my tree. I used cheesecloth and dipped them in water downed elmers glued. Then I draped the wet cheese cloth over a balloon and used clips to shape each one differently and let them dry. Once they became stiff and were able to hold their shape, I remove the clips and the balloon and ran a fishing string through the top. I hung them in the trees and then spray painted them with glow in the dark. The more coats you use the brighter they glow. The original idea came for pinterest, but they used cornstarch and water. Not the watered down Elmer's glue. I love how they turned out w/ the glue though. The holes in the cheesecloth and the glue drying clear made the ghost see-through so they looked more realistic. They turned out great and looked awesome. They held up in the weather and I will be using them again next year.
Great idea.glow👌
they sound awesome !
I'm so doing this for my class. I'm a first grade teacher and my kids would love these giant snowflakes
awesome
My thought as well, except I teach preschool😊🍎
I haven’t read down but I was thinking about doing this in black coat hangers if I could find them - they would look like wrought iron and would look great on my gray siding! Super idea, I love it.
Super cute. Then, I. The spring, add a pool noodle and a green 2 liter bottle, cut in half length wise, as a stem and leaves, and you'll have big flowers. 😁👍🏻
I made one yesterday, spray painted it silver and put a Dollar Tree Silver ornament in the center. But I have to tell you, your explanation was so clear! I would’ve gotten it done quicker with your instructions! Thank you! 💕🙋♀️
good dea
❤
NO ! MORE ! WIRE HANGERS !! I HAD TO LOL..definitely going to give this a try , Thank you for sharing
Lol! ت
This diy is quick, easy & affordable. I'm obsessed with how mine came out.
they are sooo cool
Finally a use for old hangers I don’t need.
For someone who doesn't really do videos, this is a perfect video done by you, thank you. This is a great idea and a simple, fun craft for those of us with extra plastic hangers, I look forward to creating these with my daughter.
I've had a lot of fun making these snowflakes and I put lights in mine I have smaller like I think children's hangers. I want to get the little tiny doll ones because next year I'll have snowflakes everywhere in two 1/2.
I love these! They would be pretty sprayed with glitter.
I'm so glad I came across this video, I've had a box full of plastic hangers that have sat in storage since this spring, well today I picked them up and decided to take them to a thrift store that supports our local food bank, but...I forgot to put them in my vehicle.....so, guess what I will be doing tomorrow after work...lol...the only difference is, I will spray paint them and add lights, awesome idea, thank you! (Btw, I still donate to the food bank monthly)
hahaha, that's to funny! ت
Did this this year, with two shades of blue and glitter to top them, two sizes of hangers (regular and child size). Some I over lapped, and a couple I only did half and hung close to the roofs edge.
Everyone loves how simple and pretty they are.
Wow how creative! That is so awesome! Never in a million years would I thought of using hangers for snowflakes. You said you are not crafty??!! You coulda fool me. You never know you may surprise yourself.😀
Seriously i can actually do this. I love snowmen and snowflakes. I see lights and paint and glitter and maybe that snow stuff. I am so glad i came across this. I have NO MONEY at all so maybe i could make these for my kids for gifts. hmmmm. I can't wait for the dollar store to open by my house.
Hey Nancy! Could you get in touch with me, please? I have a super *cheap but awesome* Christmas gift idea for you! Notefromjan@gmail.com
The best temperature marking idea ever!👍👍👍
Such a wonderful doable idea!! Thank you and I can't wait to make them to decorate a tree out in my front yard...
You could put lights on them too. Great idea! They are pretty!
this is adorable.....gonna try and make one..and love how they are so big so they show up from the road
Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial!! I am gonna try this and spray paint them silver and gold!!
Absolutely love this idea. They would look great with lights on as well.
Love these snowflakes. Thanks for sharing.
What a clever idea! So glad this came up in my recommendations. You could totally spray paint these to match your colors of choice, too!
Great idea we have both and mama hates plastic hangers for her clothes as do I but my late father lived hem so we have a ton &. Zip ties as well as some red spray paint but I may leave some white we have a huge cedar tree I plan on decorating these will be perfect! Thanks so much!
That is called
“thinking-outside-the-box”, absolutely beautiful ... Stay blessed!
LOVE THIS! thank you for this tutorial. I’ve made big snowflakes out of popsicle sticks but that was more indoor use. I will definitely be giving these a try for outside.
Thanks for the great easy to follow instructions
So clever thank you for sharing - we don’t have snow in Port Elizabeth (S Africa) but always do the traditional Christmas - so snowflakes ❄️ this year the easy way
I live in Richmond, Va in the US -- we don't have giraffes and lions and beautiful birds or zebras or mercats or beautiful elephants -- except in zoos -- but I collect little figurines and watch wildlife programs and visit zoos -- in other words, there's more than one way to experience the wonders of the earth -- best wishes for your holiday season -- Patricia
The small pink one has BUTTERFLY shapes on the ends! COOL!!!
This is so cute. I'm going to go to the store now to get some hangers. Thank you for this video.
Thanks for sharing… I’m going to try to make snowflakes to hang on my barn… Many blessings to you.
I was just thinking how cute it would be around Christmas Time to add some white lights to them. They’re adorable 😍
yes perfect !
I love this idea. I had bought some snowflakes and they were expensive and they lasted for a long time but ended up braking. I am going to make some for my outside. Thanks for the great idea.
Now that was a great idea I would have never thought of that it's so pretty 👍 👍💛💖💗💞💓💙💜💚 you did a really good job on showing how to attach them and how to make them I really enjoyed this video thanks for sharing
Soo neat and easy !
Very smart and no mess and resourceful...amazing
You can add some lights from the dollar store the one’s with batteries and in the night they will look beautiful.
dsparks149 great idea, and put them flat on the roof. A+
THAT IS REALLY A SNOWFLAKE, GOOD JOB ! - WATCHED 11/22/21
this is to cool i wanna make one and wrap some clear christmas lights on it because it has the hooks on there and then hang it outside under covered pourch area that would be stunning. im not a diy person but this is too cool and neat. you could also buy the $1 christmas flowers from dollar tree and glue them on there too for an inside display.
They look perfect. And so real as a snow flake. Just so pretty 😍 thank you and God bless you.
I like your snow flakes. Very creative
these look just like parols! (filipino christmas laterns)
I'm gonna make 2 layers, cover with cellophane, and stuff with lights. Thank you so much!
I love this, then I’m adding fairy lights!
Awesome. I can hardly wait to get my hangers. I agree - I'll put lights on mine too.
I love this. I'm going to put lights on mine. Can't wait to make them!!! Thank you so much!
I am taking down Christmas Jan. 7th and putting up winter until Feb.1. I am gonna make one for my wall inside. I have these hangers already and since cleaning my closets I have lots of extra hangers. Thanks.
These are so very cute and creative. You have inspired me to do the same for the winter/Christmas season.
I gave this a try and the snowflakes are really pretty. I had a hard time crawling on the floor and using zip ties and if you get any of the spacing off, the snowflake won't lay flat. I made one with hot glue, it was ok for a while but it needed a few zip ties at stress points. A 3 foot wide snowflake is pretty awkward to carry. I tried baby-sized set of hangers, and they made the cutest mini-snowflakes. Thanks for such a fun craft. Who would think hangers could be so crafty. :)
I got my hangers and ties I'm ready to begin😊👍decorations too...
yeah!
some people see where others don't....................nice job
Good idea for an art project for my home schooled kiddo!
Please visit the Instagram page of"theworldistheirclassroom" hopefully something as inspirational as this will be uploaded. have a nice day
These are beautiful and I will add lights!! Thank you sharing!!!
Great job! Simplicity makes life so much easier!
When I saw them on the wall, I thought this is going to be complicated. Then you start putting them together, I realized this is something I can actually do.
Thanks this very creative.
sure you can!
I saw your video and immediately looked at the stack of white hangers just collecting dust in the corner of my closet. So excited to dust them off and put them to good use. Thank you so much
Now I know what to do with my girls little girl hangers, since I'm a hoarder of their things!👌💞
I just bought little hangers from Amazon to make these!! I wanted smaller snowflakes
@@michellewilliams1294 That's great! Have fun making snowflakes! ❄
Just LOVELY!!!! Thank-You for this very CLEVER IDEA!!!!
So freaking cute and if it gets stolen, it’s not an arm and a leg to replace! Love it ❄️
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤣🤣
Tip. Try local thitf stores for clothes hangers. I buy 10pks for $0.50 rather than the 5 or whatever you get for $1 even at dg and dt. I love that you can pick a color by ordering them online. but I personally feel better reusing these buggers as theres already enough of these in the world I can go track some down and not have to but new or add plastic waste
Thank you for this cute idea! ❄️ I made two kinds of snowflakes with the hangers this year and had winter wonderland decorations this year! Love them!
Super idea, I love it. With light can be extraodinarie!!!! Thanks for show us this amazing creation👋👋👋👋
What a great idea! Simple Stupid is my new life! You’re awesome!!!!❤️😘💜

She is so sweet thanks for the idea
That is gorgeous....Who knew🤷♀️
Thank you so much for this! I made these for my trees this year and added fairy lights, they look great! Thank you for the creative solution.
I’m going to attempt white lights around the outside edge of snowflake, then layer the 2 large and one small snowflake on my house
Lights work nicely and not just around the outside
I was thinking of adding lights too ... I think it will turn out great. All the best!
Well I did it, 50 ct. light set works perfectly for the large snowflake and 55 zip ties, and took me only 45 minutes. I am very excited to get them on my house outside, this week!
mini copper led lights .... you can buy them at marshalls for $5 or home depot for sure!
I had seen them at someone house as I was driving by and was wondering how to make that and well today there’s a video for it thank you so much for sharing it with us
give them a shot...easy peasy for a huge impact

Kay Marl LOL. I Love the name reject shop!
I love it and I am so not crafty! But I just sent that out to my sister who is my niece who is and my daughter who’s just like me and I think we’re gonna have a bunch of snowflakes in a little bit thank you so much
yeah!
We thought this was such a great idea. Thank you for showing how it is done.
The first part was a star. Totally making it. Thank you!
This is so cute. And you did very well for your first video.
thank you
Yes Dana mam I want one make and I will put small light.
I have no idea why UA-cam recommend your Snowflake ❄️ video... It’s 91°outside and it’s the last week in June! But... I’m sincerely glad that they did! Was it a coincidence or serendipity but, l just cleaned out all the closets in my home and I have an over abundance of almost these same exact hangers. Except mine are a light grey colour. I think l will assemble them and spay paint the white afterwards. Perhaps adding some white/sliver glitter and some lights. Thank you very much for sharing your video. 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
perfection !!! since Its now November..lol..you should be all ready !
AWESOME I already have a bunch about to buy more later today THANKS
Great idea .. wish I seen this before I donated most of my cheap plastic hangers.. I went to huggable hangers.. but I’m sure I still have a bunch packed away. Even if I didn’t ,they are so cheap.
I’m making this for the carport wall!
I love this idea, I would add Christmas lights!
I love this! I do a lot of different crafts and have never seen this before. It is absolutely beautiful and so simple to do thank you so much for doing this video tutorial for us 😊 I hope you decide to do more have a blessed day.
