If I could design corn mazes, I would have the checkpoints be different pitched bells. When they find a bell, they ring it. The object to get through the maze is to ring the bells in the correct order to play a song.

Gambrills Maryland has a similar corn maze. They have checkpoints you have to find too. I went through it three times.

It's good as if you panic then you can quit by walking through the corn in a straight line to get to the other side. I've heard of someone dialing 911 and the police actually came out and brought a dog to find them.

always make the same turn in a maze.
e.g. only turn left. U're gonna make it out, but its not always the shortest path.
