My wife and I go to a corn maze every fall, we’ve done it every year since we’ve been together. Patterns just to name a few have been Cinderella, Día de los Muertos, Mermaids, Alice in Wonderland, and this year was Vampires I’m always eager to see what pattern they’ll do next, and it’s cool to learn how it’s done
I've never been in a corn maze (they're really not a thing here) so it's fascinating to see the scale on which they're operating in the States - wow! Given these complex designs clearly intended for aerial viewing, do any locations also do small-plane trips or balloon rides for customers to view from air, in addition to on-foot exploration...?
Ours had deer hunting stands turned observation desks lol. Idk if ours had any cool aerial design but during the day they turning it into a learning adventure for us student's every school did a field trip. They cut the corn down for the maze, you were tripping over dead stalks the whole time lol. Lovely memories, worth a visit if you're ever state bound in fall.
:50 Corn mazes have been around much earlier than 1993. Our nearby pick your own strawberry farm had a large corn maze in the late eighties. Is cheddar referring to corn mazes specifically using GPS to layout the maze?
"You put the balm on? Who told you to put the balm on? I didn't tell you to put the balm on. Why'd you put the balm on? You haven't even been to see the doctor. If you're gonna put a balm on, let a doctor put a balm on."
Do you really think this is significant enough to have food shortages? It's like you're going to the beach, taking a bucket of sand and saying "the beach is destroyed". Edit: I did some quick math, assuming one person needs about 0.05 acres of corn to be fed for a year, and you look at a ~10a field (like at 4:20), this makes 200 people in total. Assuming 1/10th is cut away, the "waste" would barely be enough for 20 people, which is nothing compared to the millions of people who suffer from food shortages. Also, as the video stated, there is another method to grow the field: by simply not planting the free areas. Now you see how stupid your reasoning is?
What actually happens to the moon corn, assuming the location is using that method? Do they just use it as biomass for silage or similar...? (I'm assuming it's not ripe yet when they mow it, given how green these pics are?)

So there are people who will voluntarily enter a maze for fun. Nice!

Some of them have observation towers that you can view the maze from.

I do believe worlds largest corn maze was in Foley Minnesota this year with over 15 miles of maze. We were so lost haha!
Yet another amaizing video from Cheddar! Definitely want to visit that one by Chicago.
I like the range of topics cheddar covers but God damn you drag your feet and spend 10 minutes explaining what can be said in three.
I love the richardson cornmaze! I grew up going there!
Why does everyone always forget George Lazenby in their 007 art?
“They call me 007”
0 sense of direction
0 food/water
7 hours lost in the field
Because he's so forgettable.
I love going to Richardson corn maze at night
0:30
So that tool is GPS ? It only comes up later in the video, after the bit about corn mazes so i wasn't sure.
It would be more fun making it than it would be walking through it
I love the one in York Maze in York, England
People make these for fun but think crop circles are made by aliens
Great spot to shooting next Children of Corn movie!
They need to add monsters at dead ends during halloween
What type of corn do they use? Sweet, dent, field?
Glad i got to experience these. Alice in wonderland vibes
This is cool to do.
Not as old as I expected.
"You're the reporter that did the story on our cop cycles"
But what are the aliens trying to communicate to us?
Of course aliens did it 🤣
Interesting topic, but the segments with Shawn Stolworthy have such poor audio quality that you can't understand what he's saying! ☹

I'm not sure what that has to do with corn mazes. I find your comment to be outrageous, egregious, preposterous!
Me with a machete:
then people wonder why tehre are food shortages

@@sapuseven waste is waste
those 20 people will use up ressources of another 20 people, because their food has been wasted
@@Sinaeb that's still no food shortage...
@@sapuseven someone doesn't understand how supply and demand works
@@Sinaeb I'm sorry, i guess i meant to say "that's still no food shortage in any significant way". The world is larger than you may think.
thats not a tractor
A-mazimg dis of Lazenby
🥳🤑👍
Only appealing from the sky. On the ground I rather walk in a forrest
Well that's easy. They're made with corn, duh 🥴
A-maze-ing that you can make a business from what seems like such a lame thing
Music. 👎
Always the case with Cheddar. ☹
An amazing waist of farm production.
*waste
People like having this thing called "fun" you really should look it up.
Fun is overrated and shows a fat and bored nation.

I didn't particularly notice any amazing waists but it makes sense if the lifestyle of farm production work is good for the figure.
